More progress, i'm on the finishing straight..
Spoiler:

took a mold from the thanatar-calix pauldron to add the bit missing on the normal thanatar design so it looks 'proper'.
(the mold is rested against the thanatar-calix base)

Thanks! It's almost finished, just gotta highlight the claw and paint a piece of scrap metal on the base
Looked through your gallery, I LOVE the work you're putting out. The orks with bionic arms and legs are just brilliant

I've put the last bit of paint on the main miniature tonight, so it's just the base to do. The weathering took around three times as long as painting it neatly to start with.

Looks pretty cool, I love the gross blood on the claw

Maybe some weathering could add to it, rust and grease on the pistons etc? Only if you're looking to go further, though, It's looking ace as it is.

This is the second model I paint in like 7-8 years, so I'm a bit rusty All tips n' tricks are welcome

"Yes, only nine days left..." he muttered, still somewhat lost in hazy reverie. "Wait, Nine Days???" He suddenly sat up spluttering, the foam of the ale he just choked on emerging from his nostrils as the realization of impending doom set in. Slamming the almost empty tankard on the table, he launched from his chair and declared, "good heavens, I better get painting!"

As usual this month, there are some stellar entries. I'm suffering from a total lack of motivation, and when I do get painting, the artist's block sets in. Finally making some progress, but it's going to be down to the wire folks. Great job everyone who has finished (or is close) and good luck to everyone in the same boat as me!

...not sure if I'm going to get the chance to do the BA captain, but I have a Guardian Heavy Weapon Platform sitting about that's ready for paint. Might not be the most stellar entry ever, but it's something.

Would it work? I can get a pic of it up tonight if it is acceptable. (As a T7 little mini tank, I would like to make the argument that it's pretty tough.)

@Paradigm

I keep a hobby progress thread on the lead-adventure forums that details most of the stuff i've painted and created for TNT. You can find the thread here.

Some of my favorite stuff:

Spoiler:

My current warband - the Hubologists. "Lawyers and roaches – even the end of the world could not stop them. When the Hubologists march to battle, they send out The Lawyer to declare war and "sue" their adversaries as was the ancient custom of the Church of Elron in the times before the Great Deluge. Each lawyer is a champion of combat who obtained a sacred law degree from the ruined depths of one of the law schools of San Francisco in order to cast off their old identity and be anointed by the Hubologists for war."

Awesome!

To be fair, it's not quite a tank since it doesn't have much of a driver; I guess it's more half little-bitty tank and half floating little drone weapon thing.

Anyway, I'll get pics up.

Interesting work dakkamakka, good to see a nice looking scratch built Ork stuff.

Your fall out models are very good Rollawaythestone, a very fun looking table to play on.

Update on my guy, hes got a fair bit of paint on now and I decided on a name, he will be Tony Orkommi, prominent guitarist in the Heavy Metal rock band Black Squigoth (read Tony Iommi and Black Sabbath).
Doing the individual strings on the guitar was very tricky, I couldn't get them under enough tension to be perfectly straight.

Awesome guitar!

I finally was able to get to a hobby store and picked up some proper brush on paints so I can actually line highlight my tank. Running out of time! Luckily I work Thursday night and will have 8 hours of uninterrupted time
