Let's just say I know someone, and it's the first time it has payed off with this type of stuff, and as a collector of all things Tzeentch this excites me a great deal.

From the picture it does look like mostly Silver Tower type Tzeentch stuff vs. a new, more spellcasty Sigmarine... chamber or chapter or whatever they call them.

it would be cool if they kept the existing starter as well.

Does anyone remember this fake leak from a while back? I hope the new leak is true because I am desperate for new Tzeentch stuff but I am dubious about the quality of the art on this box.

I only wished it wasn't another instance of "X vs. Stormcast". Like Stormcast needed more options... I'm already bored of playing against them in tournaments.

My first thought too. A user with no history posts an image taken in such a way that any small errors in photoshop will be hidden or more easily attributed to being a photo of a screen, and there appears to be little to no skepticism over its veracity?

I'm not dismissing it, but I'd probably be a little more incredulous until something corroborating happens along.

I hope the Stormcast mage isn't like the art. Three of the four foot characters all have the same pose. Stormcast need something more dynamic than staff weapon in right hand, hand weapon held aloft in left. A pose like the plastic Space Marine Librarian would be awesome, blasting something with his staff.

Hell, the Lord Veritant is already just a head and hand swap of the Castellant.

You know I have this large pile of Storm cast gathering. By the time this is all said and done, I will inadvertently have an entire army... LOL

There are similarities but what makes the above leaked image different is it has never before seen art with many new models seemingly depicted. The Stormcast wizard with a mini Hurricanum on a staff being one and the Chaos dudes being the others. It looks cool. I hope it's true :-)

The other problem I have is this. If you are going to leak something, why not the hard to fake new minis? Instead we get the easy to fake artwork. Again I hope this is true, but I suspect this is fan art.
Edit. The copy is not good either.

That it is full of new characters and models makes me think this is real. I for one am hoping this is real, this would be just incredible.

One way to know for sure is if Warhammer TV acknowledges this or not. If they dont theres a good possibility that its fake, although since it shows no models they may not feel the need to show clearer photos.

I'm on board the fake train. Decent job but even the more cartoony recent GW artwork is better and they don't do such awkward angles on the box renders/shots.

At the very least we'd hopefully get some new troop types for the Stormcast if it does turn out true.

Seems a waste to include them again. Why not some newly revamped Elves or Dwarfs instead?

2 new factions would mean double the chances of interested parties I would think.

2 new factions would mean double the chances of interested parties...but also would likely cut into the sales of whatever came next for those armies. That was a big thing with the Stormcast, people didn't buy the individual boxes/characters(because of crazy high prices) when possible because why would you?

You could get the starter set components for cheaper.

It's also possible that this won't be a "traditional" starter set, but rather more like the Stormclaw and Deathstorm sets. A collection of existing stuff for sale with new and "exclusive" character frames.

The quality of the art looks a bit too low for a box cover, but then I guess a lot of GW's all colour art has been lower quality.

That looks like genuine GW art, it's looking low quality because it was taken off a screen with a phone camera. I think it looks legit - if it is a fake, I'm curious where they got the artwork.

Huh? That looks completely legit. Pretty exciting as well. Guess my Steamhead will have to wait.

Yup. They are the Space Marines of AoS. I would be surprised to see them absent from a starter set.

The text describes it as "an excellent starter set and introduction to the Age of Sigmar". So are we looking at exclusive mono pose models like the current starter, or will it be more like 40k's Death masque with a couple of mono pose SC and the rest of the models are the main line kits?

FWIW this looks very much like it was a picture taken of a computer screen rather than a white dwarf. And if someone faked this its a very good fake, not because of what's right but because of what's different. A fake would probably have gold stormcasts on it, the art of the tzeentch models would probably be more distinct (look!! the stuff from the other box!!), and the name would probably be better. Not saying its for sure real but if I had to bet...
