Hmm, is it not possibly because Fenris II is due out shortly (presumably increasing the interest in SW) and Deathwatch has just been released? More likely to drive cross-sales of books.

Of course, the first point might suggest that CSM/TZ should get one but maybe that is coming with the Magnus release.

All Space Marines will bow to the DW as the superior style of Space Marine. I can't wait to see all the Xenos players getting annoyed next DW update when they start enabling us to use Xenos weaponry just like in the rpg. Hahah.

+1 to that. Wracks are expensive and it would be nice to see a solid box set to make a covens style force

GW has been going as far as ripping as single unit out of an old codex and giving it a hardcover all of its own for the past few years, what makes you think they'll start combining them again?

If these boxes are an indicator of the top(non vanilla SM) sellers, then I wonder if like the Imperial Knights the DW will have a relatively quick turnaround on there codex?

was hoping for orks for Xmas... I dont care about the dex but wish were were more factions.

What I'd love to see would be, say,

Imperial Guard Infantry Platoon
Command Squad
Comissar sprue
Chimera
Cadian Shocktroopers
Cadian Shocktroopers
Cadian Shocktroopers
Heavy Weapon Squad
Heavy Weapon Squad

It's around $230 in the box, so not the VERY best deal, but a solid one and thematic as heck. (And, sadly, only one of the two that you'd need just to fill a Troops requirement, but hey!

Games Workshop stores should have a "Christmas Gift Guide Booklet" that includes the prices. I forgot to nab one this weekend so can't tell you the prices, but I know the prices are present in there.

Unfortunately, the closest GW store is roughly four hours away from me, but I'll have to see if my FLGS has one.

Well okay. I'd seen pictures of the 1ksons releases and Space Hulk from WD, but haven't seen any pictures of these yet. I wish they would put a date in the preview pics.

My guess is limited to Christmas time, like the similiar sets the years before.

Hopefully not. You'd hope they remain available for at least a few months. If SC has taught them anything, it's that the consumers love a value-bundle.

Historically these sorts of boxes have been. The ads are on page 3 and say "The best way to start a new army this Christmas", which feels pretty seasonal to me.
