I'm really beginning to suspect a sisters board game release... It's how they did deathwatch/ genestealers... And from a business perspective it makes sense to double dip like that

Does the Canoness have rules or not? I couldn't see anything on the NZ page.

The recent nostalgia kick by GW would lead me to believe if the Sisters are in a box set (which I think is a good idea), then their adversaries will be Necrons.

I honestly cant see plastic sisters happing now unless its part of a new edition rules box(unlikely...since they arent spesh mareens) or like others have said a deathwatch style game/box set

and I cant see this being a case of getting rid of old stock, i imagine there would be too much backlash from players who just bought the metals

Yeah, screw that noise. As far as I'm concerned it's the SoB codex with some SM tagalongs and a handful of cast-offs that snuck in while no one was watching.

That presumes that there is some huge pent-up demand for Sisters of Battle.

At best, there could be 5 Sisters mixed into the 8E starter, alongside a lot more not-Sisters, a la Sisters of Silence.

There's more pent up demand for SoB than there was for GSC and look what happened there.

Though I will say that them being in the 8th ed starter is a bit of a stretch, unless they were the 'bad guys' for the space marines, which would be weird. No box game that wasn't vehicle of vehicle combat has ever not had SM in it and I doubt they're about to start.

Agree, and maybe two games.

I would be very surprised if they were in the eighth edition starter box. A board game ala deathwatch, burning of prospero, lost patrol, silver tower, etc. Is not outside the realm of possibility

Because Santuary 101 is extremely iconic(infamous) and fighting plague zombies is just a thing that happens.

It's been an emotional rollercoaster and we still have at least a couple more loops to get through. We're still waiting on leaks from people with review copies to determine if SoB get any rules updates and then we have a rumored reveal on warhammer live on wednesday that could be SoB or could be completely unrelated.

Probably not, but if they were going to do some kind of supplement it might make sense.

It is? I remember the onesided battle report (and, of course, Sister Sledge) - there were better ones and the whole scenario was kinda lame and constructed in my opinion. But why not - though a 40k box set would be better for this constellation than a board game.

They've already said Agents of Empra doesn't replace any existing Codexes so even if she's not in there you'll still be able to use her.

We've been through this before at least three times with GW claiming to release plastic Sisters and not doing it. Let's wait and see, because GW has a long record of lying to us about Sisters.

Go back and read it again, it says it doesn't replace DW ir GK it doesn't say anything about SoB

I was replying to a post that implied that GW was selling these off to burn up left over SoB models. Like they have been sitting around since 2004 and GW just needs to sell them before they launch plastic sisters. Barring a product launch businesses try NOT to make product that will sit on the factory floor for a few weeks before shipment let alone a decade or so. Product sitting on the factory floor costs money just sitting there.

I would agree that they probably have cast up quite a few models for this release. Does that mean they did so knowing a full plastic sisters release is just months away? Seems a bit odd, but since plastic SoB were "confirmed" I guess that you think that GW did so. I think its a bit strange that they would rehash their Sisters squads for sale, re-roll out some long lost models, re-release the Immolator along with the full Sisters Dex finally in print just a few handfuls of weeks before a "confirmed" plastic SoB full release.

Of course this "confirmed" release would most assuredly be accompanied by a new dex with new units, right? Does that sound like GW's business model? Its kind of like everything is in reverse, unless, you assume that the supposed all plastic all new dex release that was "confirmed" was never really anything more than what we see up on the NZ pre-order website.

If I'm wrong, great, I certainly don't "have a guy" inside GW. I just want my frackin SoB tactical cards.

Yes, but like all the sisters models it's getting old. You can understand that if you confront it with miniatures with similar them, from GW and third parts too...

The issue about Celestine is if she gets resculpted as a big angel chick it's a pretty big nerf for a t3 no EW model that relies on how small she is quite a bit
