It’s chaos, for sure, and it definitely looks similar to the plasma cannon of a mauler/forge fiend. That would make it super likely to be an Obliterator. Meaning it’ll probably be Dorn stepping on the crushed body of an Obliterator or something after curb stomping it!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Abaddon and the Obliterators would be a great Black Metal band name.

Nice! But something tells me, Abbi is more of a hair metal guy.

I hope they dual kit with Multilators and give them good rules. I loved running those guys as janky as they were.

Oooh, Chaos.

Obliterators is a good shout. I could also see it being a new Havocs kit (with more options- namely plasma cannons), or maybe even something for Noise Marines.

I dont know what that is but it looks chaos. I'd love to see the undivided or basic chaos marines get an update. The new blackstone fortress pair make the current csm kit look really dated.

That does make me think mutilators more than oblits. A plastic kit for both could be interesting.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

Looking at it, how accurately can we judge the scale from the evident brushstrokes?

Genuine question,

Because this is clearly some kind of plasma weapon. But if we can reasonably inform from the brushstrokes whether it’s pistol, gun or cannon sized?

Dreadnought cannon sized, I'd say. You can't pack that much teeth much smaller.

Thinking maybe Chaos (of course) warhound titan weapon. As others have said looks both big and small at the same time (if that makes any sense).

I'm hoping for chaos marine or maybe obliterator weapon though.

Yeah great observation, looking at the brush strokes and going from 40k, it is most likely a plasma gun, if I had to pick one (or maybe plasma cannon). Could be redone Choas terminators?

Good call on the brush stroke, Mad Doc. I don't think it is going to be a particularly large model, like a Helbrute, given that the highlight look too thick for that.
But is also doesn't look like it would be too small either, like a pistol, due to how many "teeth" are packed in.
It's most likely a medium sized bit, like a plasma gun or arm of an Oblit.

Or it is not 28mm-sized but instead for Titanicus. Then the small size would allow for a Titan-grade Weapon and we're back to square one.

The Obliterator/Mutilator kit has been redone a couple years ago, so I don't think it'll be them. Havocs - or, for that matter a chaos marines basic infantry kit - would be A+, but when was the last time that GW remade the baseline infantry kit for a factions?

Could be for a new, as yet unseen Tank type?

Obliterator kit was redone 15+ years ago, for the 13th Black Crusade that wasn’t Mutilators are just hideous alt arms and bonces.

I wouldn't be surprised by a new Obliterator kit. I'd love it honestly if the Mutilators went the way of the dodo. They were crap in the codex that released with them, which is saying something.

But the Obliterators need a redesign.

I think I'd be happier if it was a new kit though.

I've been collecting Chaos for 20 years and I can't remember a single Chaos kit that had good rules on first release. Maybe the first Obliterator resculpt with Codex 3.5 if you want to count that.

My first thought was maybe some kind of backpack piece, with the arrows suggesting Chaos.

However, upon closer inspection it looks like a tactical map display of a battlefield, with the arrows being routes of attack or something! Some kind of Strategeos or command centre model?

Yeah that definitely looks like some sort of tactical map. Looks like 3D buildings and arrows to suggest direction of troop assaults.
