Considering its being attacked by a bloodthirster, a usually airborne unit...it's probably a flying contraption. I'm kind of glad as that is what I was hoping for since the original dwarf image was shown.
If they want to give AoS its own particularly unique identity they have to go away from the more stereotypical depiction of dwarfs. And this could work out well, definitely could end up being my first AoS army I try to collect in any serious way.

It would make since, if the time line advanced, dwarfs would advance in their tech.
I really feel AoS is making races look really individual. The Wood Aelves in particular are a good example. Wood Aelves in the old world looked just like dark Aelves or High Aelves just painted different. Now they feel more feral and back to the wild.
I would be ok with Dwarfs looking less dwarf and more steam punk

...Now if we'll just get some updated Seraphon models with them all decked out in crazy Aztec style garb rather than just running around with just their scales to keep them modest!

I'd wagger it's an airship, considering that the campaign books mention the sight of sparks on chamon's cloud mines (places with an obscene amount of dusty metal floating around where you can form nuggets of metal just be closing your palms and tightening the grip.)

Not likely. They threw in their lot with Mantic, just like GW's good rules writers.

Rountree and Hewitt; GW's version of the Dynamic Duo. No wonder quality has gone up!!

Ridin' on a Snotling Pump Wagon

This week's teaser.
Looks Undeady. But also Tyranidy. Possibly Space Wolfy. Immediate thought? Board tile for Quest - but having just had Hammerhal, seems too much to hope for.

That is definitely Undead. It resembles Nagash's crown.

It's weird.
It kind of looks like book art, but the more I look at it, the more I'm convinced it's definitely a dungeon tile type thing - definite flagstones etc, and I can't see why such would be in a general illustration.

Either a new box for Warhammer quest, or for the new game GW will be unveiling at Adepticon.

If it was new Quest stuff, I'd imagine we'd see borders separating each area then, no?
Definitely looks like undead related board game pieces though.
After having a lot of fun with Gorechosen, I'm quite alright with GW putting out a new game!

Dunno. I'd imagine the grid thing is whacked on at the end, rather than incorporated into the main artwork?
I mean, I don't actually know that - just supposition!
But man, if this is a third Quest set I might besmirch my strides.

It more than resembles it. If you have Nagash handy, it matches his crown with a stylized skull in it and his "bone wings".

That's certainly possible.
I'm just hoping this means more attention for Death. I'm a Order only player and really feel spoiled this year, Nagash needs his turn in the spotlight.

I actually think Tyranids would be a cool fit in AoS as a random beastly/monstrous faction. There was a fan Battletome for them that was pretty cool.

Huh, they would be a good crossover. It'd be interesting to see the effects of them consuming so much magic-infused biomass.
