The Magos is just pure 40k joy.
The crossbow is probably a Condemnor Boltgun which is depicted as looking like a crossbow or combi crossbow. Shoots those anti psyker rounds that makes psykers perils.

S.Y.
Okay so the 'complaining about complainers' and the 'hope is the first path to disappointment' posters are out in force. Good times.
It is a thread about Sisters of Battle after all.
Regardless, I like the new Celestine and the Twins. And am excited to see what comes of it, full range or not. Heck the book might have more formations for the Sisters (and hopefully a Black Templar Detatchment).
Witha bit of luck the Fall of Cadia should bring a whole range of formations and updated rules just like wulfen or mont'ka for sisters.
I would say that is probably fairly likely. Maybe not a massive overhaul to every Unit, but something.

Totally agree. They have a really cool angle to the wings, like somewhat flared and folded at the same time.

I haven't seen anyone say it yet, but the red figure in the artwork with the Black Templars actually looks like it might be a Sister of Silence. The fur on the shoulder, the design of the shoulder pads and helmet all resemble the models in Burning of Prospero. Just a thought!

I can see where you're coming from, but I don't think so, it's got far too many Dark Eldar things going on.

If there are to be no new codexes until 8E I doubt we will see anything other than Celestine.
People keep saying this, and yet we've gotten two new codices and several supplements that look an awful lot like codices in the last couple months.

Couldn't agree more. They've done a stand up job on the Seraphims/Gemini. Celestine looks a lot better imo too. I'm actually a fan of the whole swirly scroll used to make models fly thingy that gw do these days. I'm glad they didn't change much for the sisters, and as others have said I'm glad they didn't overly sexualise the models and make them thin waisted sex bombs.
They look like hard ass women of faith in suits of gothic armour. Great stuff. These will likely be my first SoB purchases.

Well the guard are definitely playing a part in the book, you've got guardsmen on both sides of the picture, men manning the wall on the left and a large massed formation coming in on the right. I tried to make out if any of the guardsmen have new kit or anything but it looks like it's standard fare.
Looking at that picture it'd seem like the Imperium penned the chaos forces in and make some really crazy big counterattack, which would support the idea that the templar going through the webway are going to reinforce Cadia.
Not holding my breath for anything guard wise but who knows they might get a new formation or something. I'm also interested to see what the black templar get.
As an IG/Black Templar/Admech/Interested in being a sisters player player, this campaign may as well have been tailor made for my collection. Really hope it's a good one.
I wonder if the Black Templar upgrade kit will start showing up in stores again or if it'll stay direct order. With them playing a big part in this book I'd imagine demand for the sprue will increase. It's not a bad one and gives some important bits like power axes.
Finally, it's obvious now that regular sisters won't be showing up with the book right now, but not even GW are stupid enough to release the Sisters most iconic hero in plastic and then never ever give them regular kits. I'd imagine they're going to either trickle release (seeing as they have a "codex" already, they can release stuff from it whenever they want without breaking their "no models without rules/vice versa" clause) or they're gearing up for a proper rerelease. If they're really smart, they'll kick off 8th ed with it. Plastic sisters, like admech, is something that old players are pretty much guaranteed to buy. Dropping plastic sisters as the first army of 8th would be a smart move to kick it off with a bang.

Being as he's a 10000 year old Arch Magos, he may know a few more things, the bottom box does look like a brand new Cancticle though.
Question is what force slot he goes in, and can I put him in a War Convocation
But yea the t6 and 5 wounds was all i've seen thats been read off of his stat line
Edit: Now that i look at the boxes closer, the top two dont look like they contain the old ones, this guy may come with 3+ new canticles.

I am going to say it. Do you think I will be able to bring Belasarius Cawl with my WarCon to LVO? I am hoping for "Belasarius Cawl can be taken in place of a Tech-Priest Magos in other detachments". That T6 warlord would really round out my list.

Saw the first pics this morning at work and I actually cackled like a bad Joker impersonator. Suppose it says something when that doesn't even get a raised eyebrow out of your coworkers
These are some stunning models with the Magos the stand out IMO. Really looking forward to having him in hand and reading his background.
