If I remember correctly, the only Legions that made wide use of MKII during the Heresy, were the White Scars (because they were out of supply range when MKIV was filtered into the Legions so they would have only started to re equip post Prospero. World Eaters and Night Lords feature MKII. Too be honest I think MKVI is the most likely. Ravens and Alphas fit quite nicely as enemies. Fingers crossed for the Termies to be replaced by Jump pack marines and the dread to be swapped for 3 plastic bikers.

There is a possibility of Learnen Terminators........Maybe not because it'd be too chapter specific. I still like the idea of start collecting sets.

I really doubt we are going to see another Armor Mk, but I wouldn't complain if we did. If it is Mk II, it will be Dark Angels v. Night Lords. If it is Mk VI, it will be Raven Guard v. ...someone. I would love for it to be the Battle of Phall, with ship-to-ship combat and boarding actions. That seems like a better way to differentiate it from the other two games. Perhaps Mk III with Boarding Shields, Cataphractii Terminators (one of the famous parts of the battle was Terminator's boarding the Iron Warriors flagship). BUT, since Imperial Fists aren't a flagship army, I really doubt we will see them. My money is on Dark Angels v. Night Lords, which was also boarding actions. It could be done by making Mk II Breachers/Tacticals. Perhaps include 30K Indomitus Pattern Terminators. The kinda crappy thing about any of these boxes is that they really don't offer much new. Also, what would the big special thing be in the box (Contemptor Dreadnought from BaC and SoS/Custodes from BoP).

Regardless of the battle, my hope is that they continue to not Chaosify the traitor force in the box. Personally I would like to see an entire box of MK VI and more Cataphractii options. Maybe some jetbikes.

Recon marines would most likely be in a Alpha Legion v. Raven Guard set.

Bikes, Assault Marines, maybe for the 'special' something like a cheap rhino or drop pod. Breachers or recon would be okay too. Or just a giant box of plastic chainaxes.

Holy Terra.

We have cheap drop pods. GW sells the only drop pods available.

I, personally, would like MK VI`s and assault marines, but GW probably won't do that. I`d also like more legion-specific characters instead of the generic ones, but only if they`re Raven Guard.

I think they'd do mkII over VI. Any legion can use mkII.

Mk2 is earlier so makes some sense getting out before the last set but it's very similar to mk3 so they might want to shake it up.

Buy a box of scouts and put on the extra heads from BaC or BoP if you want recon squads i think destroyer squads or breachers in plastic would be amazing. I have enough standard marines, also the Mk of the Armour i dont care but if i had to chose I would like more mk2 or 3. and more 30k weapons

Phall would be cool, if only for plastic breachers, but thankfully my wishlist is pretty small for plastic now-a-days:

plastic breachers
plastic mk. ii
plastic assault marines (any mark)

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

I have no real use for breachers and no particular interest in Phall. Plastic despoilers or assault marines in Mk.4, please.

But really, plastic anything is good for making Horus Heresy accessible for more people.

mkV assault Marines, because I need 30 and don't feel like paying their full FW prices.

While I'd certainly love a Ravens vs AL box for some Mk VI armour and pretty decals, I'm not sure that's what they'll do.
I'm no prohpet but given how people bought up and are buying Calth and Prospero it seems quite likely they'll do more boxes.

But the trend I see in the going from B@C to BoP is simplification - the squads came with less options, especially the MkIII squads (plasma, melta, no flamer, no heavy weapon). I think they want to strike the balance of people buying the box but not just buying 2 or 3 and calling it a mostly done army like with B@C.

So much as I'd hate to rain on anyone's parade (believe me I'd love to see assault squads and breachers in plastic) I think they're just going to go with more basic marines.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

I think they're going to continue putting 30 tactical marines in each set, until they've done all the marks.

I'm torn betveen either heresy or corvus patterns. Jetbike would be cool, as would assult marines. Recon wouldn't hurt either.

Victory isn't important, but great mounds of bloody skulls. From your side, if not enemy's...

I don't agree with that, the MkIII sprue is only really one weapon down, it lacks two weapons (there is a Heavy Bolter) but it gives you a Thunderhammer. Whilst the Tartaros sprues give you a plasma blaster, volkite charger AND reaper autocannon in addition to the heavy flamer. And given how jam packed the MkIII sprues are I can easily believe the missing weapons were left off due to space.

Kind of off-topic, but it would be fun to see a unification wars box game, not for HH but a desperate game, with MK I thunder warriors, some kind of cultist-esque unit and the like. Idk, might be interesting.

I would pre-order three boxes of that immediately

edit: and maybe bolster the marines force with a unit of jetbikes

I'd love to get into 30k but power armour holds zero interest to me and £73 for a Lasrifle Section is insane. Everything else I could reasonably put my money towards.

Mechanicum don't interest me. I considered the Militia but I'd feel a bit dirty using my Cadians to represent them and none of the other official options really take my fancy.

Yeah, I'm awkward like that.
