The sword design is less of an issue compared to them holding them backwards.
I was quite sure that the outward curved part of the Kopesh would be to strike the opponent with..

No. The hook of the khopesh is designed to trap an enemy weapon, and fling it out of their hands. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The hook can be used like that, but the outside curved edge is the sharp edge used for cutting.

Given the models are likely to be in the expensive side, I really hope it's a game that takes a while to play. Low model count Games (for me, just an opinion!) work best when they're cheap and quick affairs (X-Wing), or much pricier and in-depth. If I'm paying say £300, I don't want games that last maybe half an hour,

The curved part is a cutting edge, also chopping like an axe. The hooked part was designed so the sword could go between shields in a shield wall and the hook would grab the shield as the sword was pulled back. That would create an opening in the shield wall for the second rank of soldiers to attack into the defenders shell. In single combat it can be used to try and disarm the shield from the opponent in a similar manner.

The Emperor having stats will be a bit of a letdown I'm sure tho, considering he's the most powerful being in the entire known galaxy. It's like fighting against a chaos god and he can force an entire legion to bow down to him or kill hundreds with a swing of his sword. Nothing short of a god infused Horus sho uld be able to touch him, so stats in a game based on D6s will be woefully inadequate.
And yet... He has 10,000 super-being of capability somewhere between am Astartes and a Primarch guarding his life, and playing the blood games to keep thier anti-assassination skillls sharp.
The Emperor is the greatest living psyker in out galaxy, sure- a being of immense power, intelligence and will. But he's not invincible, akd hes not omnipotent. (sadly )

While he isn't powerful if you read the short story "The wolf of ash and fire" it is pre Heresy battle with Horus and the Big E fighting back to back. Only a few pages long, but was a nice tale.

As we have noted, the Emperor's power is absolutely nuts, and he can extinguish an opponent's mind with little trouble.

The Emperor having rules isn't as crazy as some might think. The 30K Primarch rules are largely toned down appropriations of the fluff that are still done justice by virtue of them nonetheless being a clear cut above any other characters. The Emperor would simply be another cut above the Primarchs. He'll be a Lord of War and thanks to the 30K Lord of War restrictions he will be prohibited in all but the largest games - unless I missed something with the Custodes rules, I can't see there being a Rite of War that allows him to be taken as a HQ either.
Like the Primarchs, Big E would be toned down to fit into the game but only be available in larger battles where there will actually be counters to him. Mixing the best attributes of Horus' and Magnus' rules with some extras would probably give you a rough idea of how he will perform in the game.

That does sound more reasonable than yanking the enemy weapon from their hands. I doubt though that it has the same impact as an axe would, the point of balance should be more closer to the handle on the kopesh.
Also I start to worry that this is awfully off topoc .

From Battlebunnies in January:
'- Adeptus Titanicus is delayed (it was originally planned to be released around february). Not being rushed out. Might be out before the end of the year.
- There will be complete plastic buildings (which you can destroy yourself, by cutting etc).
- Thanks to Blood Bowl, and the delay there is a possibility of plastic Titans which go on sale at the same time as the black book / resin ones.'

Atia pointed out back in January (and that may be outdated after today's seminar) that plastic models could start with the smaller titans and knights, then other models later. That's why the comment mentions the first AT black book (campaign and new rules). FW have already finished warlord, reaver and warhounds in resin, so instead of working on these again they would start with plastic versions of other units and thereby expand the initial range.
