Nice work on those Eradicators. The muzzle burn is especially nice.

As an aside, the lovely work you did on that face really throws that Marine's terrible haircut into relief. It's no wonder most Marines are bald if that's the only other Codex-approved hairstyle.

Now showing a Harlequin Dreadnought!

Painting total as of 4/25/2024: 33 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog

Thanks Ragsta for the kind words. All these new gravis armored models have been great, but the Eradicators are exceptional.

It does seem that the Emperor has been swaying me to paint for him lately..

. LOL Thank you Josh, I did have some bald marine heads but the other squads sarge is follicle free. Got to mix it up a little.

So onto the next project! I had asked the person who I painted Ragnar for if he would let me do few more primaris elites or characters. He took me up on it and now there are a few on my paint table. Got motivated dashed some paint on him and this is what I have so far.

Thanks for looking.

This Wednesday night is the first time in a year+ that our gaming group has gotten together. I only have one game of ninth edition under my belt so my guess it’s going to be a whole lot of looking up rules for the both of us. Bringing out the boys in blue, points come out to 1990, to play against a horde of Orks. Here’s some pictures of the army. Hopefully I will have enough Dakka to keep them at bay.

You really shouldn't beat your opponent so bad that they move to a land with gigantic spider, Drop Bears and 173 different breeds of snakes just to have a chance to win a game .

Hey guys thanks a lot for the comments. Thought I would share some pics of my game, and a few thoughts on how the Ultras fared.
One is Eradicators are crazy good vs vehicles, first turn one squad blew up the battewagon. Now they did get the seal of oath buff and under the stern gaze of Marneus they rerolled all to hits. On turn 3 the second squad came in and one shotted a gorkanaught.
Outriders are extremely resistant, a mob of 14 boys and nob took down 2 of the 3 but only because the orks used their ability to fight twice in one turn. I believe if I could have got to charge first they would have done quite a bit of damage.
HQs did what they are supposed to, buffing up nearby units. The Phobos librarian only got off a few mortal wounds spells.
Aggressors got taken out first turn, Bladeguard acted as a speed bump for one of the gorkanaughts. Redemptor dread did well shot up a bunch of boys, punched Doc Grotsnik into next week and held his own vs Ghaz. Judiciary did nothing. By the end of turn 3 the game was done.
In my opinion orks need a new codex, hopefully the one coming out next will help out.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sounds like a fun game, even if it was a bit one-sided. Eradicators are crazy good right now; they can one-shot a lot of vehicles, which is a big part of why vehicles are generally not considered competitive currently.

Overall the army looks good in action!

Skeleton Ancient looks very cool in Space Wolves colors, your friend will be very happy.

Great that you got a game in and showed the dirty Xenos, who's boss Great looking army and they did the Emperor proud!

@Zerg yes those Eradicators are crazy good, going to have to fill in something else and drop one squad for fun games.
@Viterbi Thank you, yes the Emperor’s finest showed those Xenos who was boss. My friend says he was just lulling me into a false sense of security. He has quite an extensive army and is looking forward to bringing out his cyboar calvary when the new rules drop.

On to the next project, here’s a converted Indomitus Captain for the Wolves. Still WIP.
