Is there a detachment restriction on the number of chapter tactics you can field in a detachment or army? For i stance can i field white scar bikers and salamander devastators in the same detachment?
Is there any similar restrictions on chapter specific relics or warlord traits or strategems?
you have to take a pure detachment. so the answer is "no"

For those people who asked for it, here's my Primaris to "truescale Devastator" conversion!
He's unfinished and held together mostly by Blu- Tac at this point. I haven't decided what I'm going to put on his hip to cover the damage from removing the helmet that was stored there (considering a bolter), and I'm not sure if I want to keep his slim Primaris-style pistol holster or replace it with a proper meaty bolt pistol. Also he's missing a shoulder pad on his left arm, obviously.
It's kind of a proof of concept. The arms work, albeit with some slight awkwardness (though this was mainly the same difficulty I'd have with normal Marines anyway; getting the arms lined up properly). Primaris Marine arms are the same length and their torsos are the same width, so arms, weapons, backpacks and helmets should all be easily compatible. As I said before, torsos should be slightly compatible in that they could be adapted fairly easily by removing the stunted midsection and used to replace the Mk.X breastplate. Most of the difficulties with doing so will be fixed by the inevitable multi-part Intercessors/Hellblasters/etc.

"If anyone's interested, the armies that are mentioned in the First Strike starter set (beyond marines and death guard) are the Astra Militarum, AdMech, Knights, Craftworlds, Drukhari, Orks, Necrons, Tyranids (and Gene Cult) and Tau. So that gives, I think, some indication of the next Codexes GW has on deck, besides Grey Knights, Chaos Space Marines and Death Guard."

The main focus is going to be Imperium vs. Chaos. If I were a betting man, I would say Space Wolves and Thousand Sons will be coming in September. Probably Blood Angels and Chaos Daemons after that(Ka'bandha is back and wants some sweet sweet revenge on the sons of Sanguinius). It is hard to say who Dark Angels will be up against, but expect them pretty soon as well. They have pretty much said that Xenos will be waiting a bit.

The Auspex Primaris might make a nice apothecary. Stick some sort of lengthy pistol (I have a lasgun with the symbol on the side removed and a boltgun clip instead of the power pack that might work nicely) in place of the bolt rifle, paint him white and maybe slap some more dangly bits on.
Definitely getting that £5 magazine and the 3 man box now. I actually want to try that. Automatically Appended Next Post: Actually, you could convert the other two intercessors to Lieutenants easy enough.

It's pretty, but I don't get why it can't just be a bolt pistol.
Primaris Marines all having 101 different types of bolt weapons that are better than the normal bolt weapons is just adding pointless complexity to the game for little real benefit.

It feels really weird to take part in a campaign when the ending of it is spoiled in the new codex.

you're wrong they do have purity seals, but they do tend to have less ostentation. if you look at a Primaris Marine the only ornmentation he's likely to have is a purity seal somewhere, as opposed to a tatical marine whom might have a buncha skulls etc

If you want the purity seals may represent oaths of moment - pre-heresy marines had those. The thing that rubs me wrong with the apothecary is the fact that he's heroically stepping over a brother marine's armor... Not very mariney... Also, the new chaplain has this weird pose and pistol - not too keen on those aswell

They're not just bigger.. they're loaded with power creep too
The not-Terminators and not-Assault Marines are armed to the teeth and the taller Dreadnought has something like 12 shots in one configuration. Plus a floating Land Raider.
TBH, the Thunderhawk, which was scene as legendary back in the day, is probably under-armed by a long shot by comparison to most of the units out. If they ever do a plastic kit for it, it'll just be a step up from something like a Valkyrie compared to the Repulsor and whatever is going to follow after.

People who won't buy the Primaris Marines aren't going to buy them just for the Repulsor. If they want people to buy more Primaris then they will release more Primaris Marines. It's that simple. If on the other hand they would have made the Repulsor compatible with normal Marines, I'd bet you they'd be selling a whole lot more. GW isn't stupid, they can do basic math like this. There is no evidence for this being a business decision except people's bias against GW. I get really tired of these conspiracy theories. Primaris are already selling like hot cates it seems. There is no need for GW to push sales with tactics like that (which most likely do not even work or even have a negative effect on sales).

They said on WHTV that they wanted to start the new Primaris range off with less ornamentation to get a good base to work up from. So don't expect that trend to continue, they'll get their bling.

Actually, I'd argue that GW has been making 35mm - 40mm figures for decades. They just have their abdomens removed to bring them down to the "28mm" size.
The Primaris marines unfortunately still suffer this malady, but it is far less extreme on them.

Supposed to be 10 codex's before Christmas:
1, Grey Knights
2. Chaos Space Marines
3. Death Guard
leaves 7, maybe 8 more: Astra Militarum, AdMech, Knights, Craftworlds, Drukhari, Orks, Necrons, Tyranids (and Gene Cult) and Tau - that's ten right there and that's assuming that there are no more Marines dexes - I am expecting at least Space Wolves and Thousand Sons
I would guess its more like:
1, Grey Knights
2. Chaos Space Marines
3. Death Guard
4. Orks (usually early dex)
5. Space Wolves (they love these guys and their wacky wolfy wolf wolfiness)
6. Thousand Sons (new model range)
7. Eldar (Craftworlds) (Tend to be early)
8. Dark Angels (Gotta keep the Marine dexes flowing - sigh
9. Tyranids (because they lead into........
10. Blood Angels
11. Primarius (Gotta make more new Marine models)
Rest won't a sausage until 2018 - although they may switch round the Xenos races and the order. So that's Ad Mech Tau, Necrons, Guard, Knights, Agents, Genestealers, Dark Eldar....,

I think Imperial Guard might be after death guard, actually. They did mention their codex in an article recently, which I think is a hint of what's to come.
Going by the initial releases, it seems they are following a pattern of 2 codices per index.
