Aww yeah

still wondering about the new chapter org

seems like they doubled down so far with 20 squads of 5 to 10 man units. makes me not want to do a full company anymore.

from what I've seen it looks like on paper a company is normal, but they can be reinforced to be larger with troops transfered in from reserve companies. my guess is this is to allow you to not stress about company colours if you're doing an odd mix of fources. so that if I say decide to run a army of 2 squads of devestators, 7 squads of tatical marines and 3 assault marines, I don't have to stress that I should be painting them up as differant company elements, and can instead give them all red trim, green trim or whatever company trim I prefer

GW have already stated that Companies are larger than 10 squads now and there's even transfers of squad designation 13 in Dark Imperium.
Of course there is XIII on the sheets. They are Ultramarines sheets!

I hope GW goes ahead and releases sheets for other chapters. It is annoying AF that they are only including UM with the kits. I want Crimson Fists! It is a good thing I stocked up on the Black Reach sheets when bits sellers had them.

There's 4 chapters on the Dark Imperium sheets(UM, BA, DA, SW), and all 3 that use them have designators above 10. And they're a 13 NOT XIII.

Interesting. I haven't looked too hard at that sheet since it only had one chapter I use (Blood Angels), and I am not adding Primaris Marines to them yet.

Seeing Assault Centurions drop to 53 ppm base down from 73 ppm makes me happy.

Currently they are at least 97 ppm with their cheapest loadout, which is insane, especially given the prevalence of Damage D3, D6 and Damage 3 weaponry.

They better don't pay for their Siege Drills in the codex! At 77 ppm with Hurricane Bolters and Twin-Flamers they're still expensive, but perhaps they'll be viable again.

Agreed. They could easily have put one of each of the main chapters on there and taken out the multiples of the UM symbols (there are like three or four meant for a pauldron, WHY?).

I hope they start selling symbol sheets for the main Chapters separately (All First Founding+Crimson Fists+Black Templars). Otherwise it is to eBay for me and lost sales for them.

I've heard you can make your own transfer sheets reasonably easy, can anyone confirm or deny that?

I'm from the future. The future of space

There are sheets you can buy that you can print onto. Unfortunately though printers don't have white ink and are made to only be colour true when printed onto a white background, so it's not always easy to get the right colour to turn out the way you want in the end product. You often have to adjust based on the colour your are putting the transfer onto, which requires some colour theory knowledge.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

That's what I heard as well. I know that there are printers that can print white, but at that point it is getting a bit ridiculous. GW should offer transfers for the main Chapters. At any rate, I am going to hit up Hoard o Bits or eBay and load up again.

I believe Forge World sells a lot of transfer sheets for different SM chapters - you might try checking there.

I'm thinking of grabbing a shoulder pad off ebay that has the chapter symbol and making a press mould.

Is the Gauntlet Energetique a power fist?

Because that means tactical termies are eleven points cheaper now. Ho-lee-crap. Almost fifty points cheaper for an entire squad.

Google Translate suggests 'gauntlet énergétique' means 'energy gauntlet' 12 points!

Does that thunder hammer say 16 or 18 points? Either way, terminators got more viable.

16 points for non-character thunder hammers.

I might use this book for my BA termies until the BA book gets released... only thing I'd miss is the better BA librarian powers.

It appears to be that way. Given the Thunder Hammer is 21 Pts on Characters and 16 on anything else, 4 pts is the difference between d3 and 3 wounds. Yay Power Fists don't suck! That makes my LT even cheaper (75 pts for the MC Boltgun, Bolt Pistol, and Power Fist that becomes the Fist of Vengeance). Overall, this is going to make a good amount of space in my list. 10 pts from the Sternguard pt decrease (SI Boltguns are 2 pts a piece down from 3 pts). The LT is 75 pts down from the expected 84 pts. That is enough for the 17 pts I need to run a Plasma Redemptor instead of a squad of Hellblasters. Not bad!

But now that Power Fists went down 32 pts for a squad, I kinda want to run a squad of them with Pedro Kantor in a Land Raider Crusader with an LT. Decisions decisions...

actually you won't have to as you can just run em as blood angels with the rules from the codex. per GW

Blood Angels, Dark Angels and Space Wolves army lists in Index: Imperium 1 all let you use units from the Space Marines section of that book. If you own the new codex, you should feel free to use those same units’ Datasheets from that book instead, until your own codex comes out.

That is actually worrisome. Knowing GW's history with making mistakes between different language versions of the books, this opens up the idea that some of these numbers on here are wrong. The price increase for Telion was from the English Language version of the book, per winters SEO.

I agree it's awesome, this is something e've needed from GW for ever, with this statement there's no more worrying about your codex being obselete and sudden;y paying more points for the same thing another marine codex has for less.

It's a welcome change of philophesy

The Emperors Champion is 75 points below him, as well. Seems a bit weird if the EC is cheaper than Telion, but I guess we will see.

I suspect this might be a mistake from winters SEO - in his previous video he said that barely any points had changed at all, which clearly wasn't the case.

Here is hoping. Most of the points are the same when I did a stop view of the video, but Telion's points were just out of view, so I can't confirm if they are the same or not.
