Also like totally way to hard for me. these titans are on a time crunch and those eyes sounds like they would take me the better part of a day.

So that the big guy done then? Will you paint them all in a oner?

Done? Eh close. I need to revisit his elbows when I get to it. Plan is to paint all 5 in a week in december.

Small progress. Used soda bottle plastic to make eye lenses on the head. It's rough, but I am painting it and I want a warn look. Thus rough is what I want.

Welcome back to the world of Dakka. Nice to see you alive again, and maybe even posting...

Right so that detailed build.... yeah I am doing it swear...

Alright above here is me showing you how i pose my feet. i use a combination of super glue and JB weld to work in the joints. I prefer my war machines to be walking casually through the enemies rank to marry poppins.

The joints are wet for about 10 minutes, and cured in 24 hours.

Then progress on the torso.. so warhound torsos are only about 5 parts to glue together. And I will inform you that as much as i requested for a thrid arm to assemble it with photos the dark gods only gave me many crickets.

So here is that end result. Again a mix of jbweld and super glue..

Note, the toes are still not glued at all, held in by friction. The head is not attached either. All the armor plates are glued down. Fight me dakka, I hate interiors. Nothing says suspension of disbelief like opening up your model in the middle of combat. Besides mine only ever contain chaos on the inside. Like so many demons in them. Anyways, the legs will be more detailed, as well as the hips. As with these models that are the most critical parts.

That name is fancy, and acceptable. Welcome to the cringe show. Where I make the internet cringe with a blatant disregard for model safety, and beauty.

On to the progress....

Here is panda's 1-2 boom you glued yourself to everything and now understand the world better.

JBweld... like sniff this stuff, eat it, be it. And dont do a single thing I say you will die and need medical attention and we all know how many docs we keep running around in regiments. (Complete after thought)

next mix it to make it dark grey like the other spot on the paper. I use wood to stir and apply it, because i am brave.
I apply the amount i feel i need usually determined by the alignment of the stars and the rotational of a dropped apple. Toes/legs get more than the torso. Toes get it more freely than william wallace in the middle of a rebellion.

Next jam some super glue in there too with the JBweld. The glue dries faster and will allow the JB weld to cure more securely attached, giving you much less working time with the joint, and more stability to multitask. Or just throw that part on the ground. I dont care.
Then connect the pieces and with post haste wipe off the splurging jbweld. (I do this intentionally on toes, and myself)

Here another example!

Glue and jbweld

Smash that sucker in like its an Ork Choppa contest in the middle of pumpkin smashing in a field of be careful and take your time.

Now for some magnetization
I use big old magnets from rarelement or something like that website I cant remember and my browsing history is too thick to resolve. Google! Or ask the farseer. They always know what i do. They watch me. Its nice to not be so alone.

I just use pure JBweld and good old fashion time... in case you are wondering the exact diameter of the Warhound's hip connector is 1.25" I eyeballed that on the website/google photos. My magnet is .25"x1.25" and rated at N48 which has about a 25lb hold, and in emergencies will clear hard drives and stop pacemakers. Using my Forstner bit I simply drilled into the torso a bit (prone to ouchies here) and then glue the magnet it and everything still sits flush with room for a steel waster to add to the Warhound's lower hip.

Strength demo.

Next up is the legs, and showing you how I "plan" them out, and pin them.

Comments are welcome, critics too! Thank you all for your time in this Mek's dreams.

Is it the big Levi or the smaller one? Resin kits are somewhat painful to build.

Here it is.

Alright so first thing first...
Learn how to calculate the center of gravity in side awkwardly shaped objects. There is YouTube and wiki for this math and it is helpful. It also helps that we as humans have a inate understanding of cg.

Next is to plan your walking /standing pose.

So here you can see with the left leg I have the toes up meaning it needs to lean forward onto the right foot which is pressing down maintaining the weight of the locomotion of the model. Luckily the warhound is butt heavy and the modeler calculated the correct cg for the torso. You can hold it at the hip join and it doesnt lean forward. This just means you need to achieve a proper cg for the legs and the model will stand under its own power acceptably.

I plan the legs as shown above accommodating the feet I posed. Next I construct a leg.

I keep the other foot nearby to remind myself of the hips placement and the relative length of the second leg. As you can see I got the cg of the left leg right by the fact that it stands on the upwards toes on its own. I then construct the right leg accounting for cg as well and use popsicle sticks and wooden dowels and the hips as guides for straight, and separation distance.

Due to the war hounds small size I am going to run pins through the joints after the glue cures which could be tonight. All the gluing is jbweld and super glue. You get about 10 minutes of work time with the joints. However I allowed the legs to set into position before gluing them to the feet. I wiggled them around the ankles to get the upper positioning correct. My rule is have as few moving joints as possible.

The legs of these models are the most critical part to get correct failure to do so means it won't stand on its own and will require a base to be bolted to it. I don't want this at all. It appears though that I got the legs right and everything will stand.

They look awful Panda. And their rules are awful. And they should feel bad. Sonic Lancing Revanants are the best looking of the FW Titans to me. But I like dainty things, so, yeah.

When will this project of yours be complete? LVO is coming fast.

Legs look great. They stand well. I'm just hoping that when the rest of the body is applied to them that the center of gravity on them doesn't muck anything up.
