Wait a second, they are giving out points cost for Primaris Marine units in Deathwatch armies. When the heck did DW get access to Primaris? Was this in a FAQ or something?

Astropaths for 30p without Wargear! Wow for all the ones saying that Smite-spam wasn't a problem! And Conscripts 4ppm : Personally I believe that with the three nerfs (Max unit 30, orders on a 4+ and commisar nerf) was enough.

Heh yeah. Good thing i hadn't painted conscripts yet. Even for non competive player those are too bad. For same price to troopers less ws, bs, ld. Non reliable orders and less command points and less heavy/special weapon slots. Why bother?

Maybe if people didn't spam them. GW seems hellbent on nerfing the gak out of things that competitive players abuse.

Victim blaming eh? Gw's job to make things good. Gw failure to not make them right from get go, gw's fault if they nerfe them out of usability. Players never at fault.

So after looking that over, it looks like GW just arbitrarily said FETH Forge World. Which is nothing more than a blatant cash grab for them. Yes I know they are the same parent company, but they maintain separate balance and asset sheets. By making the FW stuff essentially unplayable, you will buy GW proper models. Why again should I listen to point adjustments from a company when it is obvious what they are doing?

Alas unless you play at home only you have no choice

If any of this is true I would be very interested to know what "Terrain Rules" are. Current rules suck.

Terrain definitely needs an update. Things I'd like to see:

1. Terrain that causes negative movement
2. "Bad Terrain" that causes negative armor save modifiers. IE, your 4+ save is now a 5+ save.
3. Dangerous terrain
4. Falling from tall towers, like in 7th.

I like that suggestion. That's basically like 4th edition rules for terrain. Back when it made sense that dude's got impaled on spikes and sliced up on razor wire. Or when you halved your movement to go through rubble.

If my math is correct, running a scythed heirodule actually got 30 pts cheaper.... that's not bad. Not entirely useful fro most lists and such, but for fun games and casual play, I makes it less of a burden.

It makes sense if you look at it from the perspective that GW are intending them to only be played in Narritive or Open games. Titan level models certainly always felt to me that they should have scenarios built around them and be a major feature of a game rather than just included on its own with like 20 other guys. Like why would a warhound titan be deployed for a minor skirmish?

Why would guillimann or yarrick be deployed to minor skirmish? Hell 2k games tend to basically have enough infantry to barely justify company commander let alone multiples

They been able to take them since the shortly after the codex came out. There is a file on the website about it. Here is one, https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/Downloads/K3ns3JDOGE2asjf/Primaris-week-2/UH29gsmfkrrtp_Primaris_Marines_Release_02_July_8th.pdf

Best.

Also Gorkanauts down 53pts.

Even beterer.

Unless I'm miscalculating, how did the Gorkanaut go down by 53 points? The Gorkanaut only went down by 8 points due to the decrease of twin big shootas while the Morkanaut went down by 34 points thanks to the reduction of the kustom mega kannon, twin big shootas, and the mork itself.

Aw. Bugger. Got them mixed up.

It's on the download tab for each Primaris unit page on the GW website. They actually added each Primaris unit as it came out
Rules aren't in the doc, but points and who can take them are:

https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/Downloads/K3ns3JDOGE2asjf/Primaris-week-4/IORF435R4_ENG_Primaris_Marines_Release_04_July_29th.pdf

I'm actually a little curious how they're going to handle Deathwatch, actually.
As written, Primaris units can't use DW special ammo (unless a unit gets access to stalker patterns, they don't use the listed gun types).

And according to the point drop rumour, intercessors are now cheaper than deathwatch veterans (despite the extra wound), so unless they also drop the price of DW vets, it's going to look pretty weird.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

200 Points increse for Fellblade (wich was quite balanced where it was for casual games, now its not even viable at all). And no point change to Baneblades?

Are they forcing people to buy new superheavys? What the hell are they trying to do?

Im done buying anything more for my army be it GW or FW. Cant belive they would scew their customers like that. And only thing id pay from here on out is printing paper for the leaks.

8th editon..pff... 7th had more stability than this fluctuating piece of garbage.

Oh yeah and An'ggrath went from 700-888. Unbeliveable...

Oh, look, orks got screwed over again. What a surprise...

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Does anyone know if there are going to be power level changes?

I know that matched play points are most people's thing, but the codexes changed points and power level on units and I only play power level games...

Well, so much for the idea that GW has any clue what they're doing with 8th edition. Welcome back to the dumpster fire.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

JFC, the Dominus went up 33% from 450 points to 600 ING POINTS. A unit that is already worse than a Baneblade, yet somehow already costs more points than a Baneblade, gets a massive point increase. Seriously GW, fire every single person who touched this debacle of a book.

This book should never have happened... I bet the building rules and campaign rules are just as shallow as these illogical point changes.

What I'm thinking is 30 HellBlasters next to a Watch Master. Reroll all missed hits in Close Combat and Shooting. That's got to put the hurt on something.

I will be marking pages where changes were made with sticky notes, but otherwise I will be fine.

My list went down ten points. For now, those points will be spent on two Hunter Killer Missiles. Not a whole lot else I can do with the. I suppose I could give my Intercessor Sergeants Power Swords (they are all modeled though, so that might not work for me).

With the new Thousand Son's stratagem, Magnus can now cast Warptime on Turn 1 and not be able to fail as long as 2 other Thousand Sons Psykers are within 6" of him (and as long as he doesn't die from perils... but if he's dying from perilsed T1 you've already screwed up).

Ok then.

I'm still staring at the AM Meltagun changes.

I just. I don't. ... What?

I guess I'll go buy more plasmaguns now? Was that the point?
And the conscript changes. I hate conscripts. I never fielded a conscript in my life.

But how is 4ppm balenced? I could understand it if Infantry Squads were 5ppm.But in Isolation?[list]

And some of those new Titan prices look very silly. And I hate those too. But, like, really, GW?
