Hey guys, so as soon as my FLGS gets their shipment of catachans in I'm going to embark on a modelling journey to create a house orlock gang for necromunda. As I begin to think about this endeavor, I begin to remember one thing. I dont like how lasweapons play in necromunda. That is a bit of a problem, because as you probably know, catachans come equipped with naught but las weapons. A healthy alternative for me is shotguns, which I have in no small supply from a genestealer cult box. However, shotguns are expensive, and I want some variety in both my gang and my modelling. Therefore I wish to get my hands on some autopistols for cheap and some stub pistols. Thanks in advance dakka!

Adeptus Mechanicus Infiltrators have flachette blasters and stub-carbines. Infiltrators/Ruststalkers come in the same box, you may be able to find an admech player that built RustStalkers. Either that or search for those from a bits seller.

It's just a shame Hasslefree doesn't do their CAD guns any more. They were amazing and had another 12 or so variants.

Dumb option: Cut the tip off the Catachan lasguns (and possibly the aquilas), and square off and drill the remaining bit. May still look too recognizable though.

Dragon makes some collections of modern SMGs and assault rifles at 1/35 scale (I think it's called the Quartermaster series) they're a little thin for 40k but the size looks good with GW's exaggerated weapon sizes.

I tried a Catachan to SWAT team army ages back using their MP5s.

Oh yeah Maelstrom's Edge's broken has a rich sprue of weapons, but I'm not sure if they plan to sell it on its own.

Worth asking though.

Also a source for some Necromunda gang figs, perhaps...depending on how well that scales with the other plastics GW does.
