That's a very bad angle to take picture of the model, it completely obscured the symbol on the staff.

It is, however, the best angle for showing off the skeleton boob.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

The two skeletal things have an hourglass and a box respectively obscuring their chests in that picture

This is what we call being willfully obtuse.

I love the Mortach of Grief. I don't know where else I can use her (as I use sylvaneth) but if I could find a way to shoe-horn her in as something else, I would do.

maybe it's time to do NightHaunt!

the new rules appear to be online already, they can be found on the age of sigmar site
The site also contains an image of the nighthaunt battletome(can be found under factions->death->nighthaunt):

are those all three new models upfront in the image (for a moment I confused mannfred with the one on the right)?

The artwork for Warhammer and 40K has always had a lot of detail and many times you'll see warriors or other things standing around that could potentially be heroes or new units, but which never make it into the game. A reflection of the variety within the world beyond what we get to play with on the tabletop.

Has there been any mention of what is happening with digital releases or the app?

I play:
40K: Daemons, Tau
AoS: Blades of Khorne, Disciples of Tzeentch
Warmachine: Convergence of Cyriss
Infinity: Haqqislam, Tohaa
Malifaux: Bayou
Star Wars Legion: Republic & Separatists
MESBG: Far Harad, Misty Mountains

Compared to the artwork, the Mortarch's paint job is really poor. It completely lacks that ethereal ghostly vibe. The sculpt looks decent, though.

not sure of this one has already be shown, but it appears there will be another mounted hero(not one of the 3 named onces)

I'm pretty sure that's a new unit and not a hero. On the left hand side there is the same model in a slightly different pose

It looks to be a new visual aesthetic for Soulblight. We haven't seen any real art of them since AoS, outside of Mannfred.

There was some talk awhile back of Soulblight getting their own Battletome with a unit of 'thralls' on foot--something roughly similar to a Stormcast Eternals element for Death.

Spoiler:

It's been shown at Warhammer Fest. It's actually part of a two model box.
Spoiler:

Unit or hero is a bit unknown as of yet. Likely it's a Hero themed to be a buff for the mounted stuff since we see it with the Hexwraiths.

They also said that the nighthaunts spell is the next one, so that also confirms that nighthaunt battletome comes before or at the same times as the stormcast battletome

Yes, the Nighthaunt reveal trailer stated June 2018 for the battletome, although at this point its looking like it will just be the pre-order on the 30th.

Can't pick Azyr as the realm to fight on, interesting. I was hoping they'll also preview the lores of magic. No matter, I'll be playing under the new core rules on Saturday, maybe I'll also use one of the previewed artifacts.

Do I understand correctly that a single wizard can cast all of his known spells?

Those Vampires if that is what they are fairly similar to images of Carstein court in 8th Ed WFB Vampire Counts.

We have new images of Neferata for AOS - the covers of Dance of the Skulls and Mortarch of Blood, plus Adhema ( a blood Knight in the service of Neferata) on the cover of Spear of Shadows.

Free splitting, IF you have a hero, but not directly into the same tarpit of horror and frustration anymore. Which is sad and weird, but also less broken BS.

Slaanesh allegiance abilities indicate that we will still be seeking for a while though.

The 30" dispel range with mastery of magic and spell thief is going to make the LoC crazy. Stopping your magic and then casting it better than you do.
