Former forum member who created Hinterlands skirmish for AoS. GW liked it, and ended up giving him a job.

Made a Skirmish campaign system for AoS, I believe.

It caught the attention of someone within GW and he was snatched from his family. After a series of strenuous and ofttimes fatal physical trials, he was the last aspirant standing. Then came the arcane regimen of surgeries, gene therapy and hypnotic conditioning. Once again he survived and now he stands before us an Adeptus Designus.

He was a member of Dakka. (Maybe he still is, but I am guessing he is not allowed to use it.) While he was a member of Dakka, he was really passionate about Age of Sigmar and was on the AoS forums a lot. Oh and his miniature painting was marvelous as well.

Afaik it isn't available anymore. Which is too bad because imo it was solidly better than the official GW skirmish.

I do miss Bottle's Avatar's though. Not as good as JDogs (sorry I got your name wrong) but Bottle's came to a good second.

Back to Age of Sigmar. Did we get any new announcements on new armies? I thought I recalled reading two more new battletomes will be out. Do we know what they are?

Only ones we know of are Nighthaunt and Stormcast.

The only two announced were the new Stormcast chamber and Nighthaunts. We do have rumors of Moonclan Grots and Slaanesh (and possibly Darkoath Barbarians), but those are just rumors at this point.

I could have sworn they did, but now that you mention it, I don't remember an actual announcement other than the Nighthaunts.

You mean the Sacrosanct reveal trailer? It mentions the Sacrosanct Chamber, but not a battletome.

I'm actually looking forward to this way more than I expected. Having seen the previewed model and rulebook at my local GW I have a lot of rekindled excitement for fantasy. Not sure what army I'm going to go for but the rulebook was a solid 2/3s fluff so plenty of inspiration to draw from.

I actually still don’t believe that’s a GW trailer. For years, the trailers have been...nothing. This one is so awesome, it blows away anything they’ve previously done in a trailer. And probably the trailers by any of their competitors.

In the recent interview on warhammer live, the eavy metal painter Max said that there are lots of different colour schemes for the sacrosanct in the new battletome. So there's your confirmation.

On the podcast, I think it was episode 10, the one they talk about order. I'm sure they mentioned the Stormcast battle tome. They mentioned a Stormcast endless spell called the Comet which is apparently very strong.

I'd have to rewatch them sometime to confirm it.

Honestly I bet FW of today can make a MUCH better dragon!

They haven't bettered it with all the other dragons they've done since. The one the Amethyst wizard was riding was a close second, but I've never been a fan of that vertical pose. All the others are nice, but they're a something dragon - toad, chaos, sea creature, whatever. And of course, none of them are available to Order, so I can't stick them in with my Highborn.

I’ve always been thinking for a fantasy minis company they’ve been weirdly lacking in having a straight up no-frills big dragon model.
