I'm expecting ( or at least hoping) it will be replaced at a later date. Are there any stirrings of a new summer event for AoS?

Honestly, Tyrants of the Spire are basically Marauders (as are Untamed Beasts) so i wouldn't be surprised if people just declared those models as Marauders in their StD lists, so long as they aren't using those Warbands as Cultists as well.

It's what I would do

I imagine with Spire Tyrants sculpted a little CAD work could get them an easy Marauder box. Makes sense to keep Marauders in if something to that effect is planned.

The Warcry warbands would be worth taking if they were battleline, or even conditionally battleline (like maybe if you used a Darkoath Warqueen or Chieftain as your general). As they are, though, each unit has an obvious roll, but there is at least one other unit in the army that does it better. I could see maybe using them as summoned units, but I think you'd be better off summoning Marauders (and I still swear that I'm the only person who actually kind of likes the kit , not that I would complain about an update).

I actually dig the marauders

They need work, but once you resculpted their torsi and blend their massive deltoids with their new upper bodies I really like them. Their heads are heroic scale as heck, but how can you not love bushy eyebrow guy and bushy-beard-slightly-confused-expression hobo dude? And their arms are actually better exagerated musculature than most kits GW did in the 10+ years after.

I get that most people don't want/can't do all that, especially now that you should run 40 to 120 a list.

PS: Wayland shipped my SC STD and two of the big Warcry banda today, I was expecting one or more items to be out of stock and having to buy another SC locally tomorrow. Mhhhm, might still do that, though.

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Faqs, with change points

Not really any changed points, just a reminder that they updated the points for some battletomes in their FAQs and not the General's Handbook. From Warhammer Community:

We’re committed to keeping Warhammer Age of Sigmar as awesome as possible, and so, with this year’s General’s Handbook, we’ve gone the extra mile. Usually, books published in the immediate lead-up to the General’s Handbook would not see points changes. However, to make sure your Pitched Battles are as balanced as possible, we’ll be releasing an early (and free) points update to the most recent battletomes – for reference, that’s Skaven, Blades of Khorne, Fyreslayers, Gloomspite Gitz and Flesh-eater Courts. Keep an eye out for this – and the General’s Handbook 2019 FAQ – in early July.

I've never been bait'n'switch'd by a FAQ until today. I also assumed they will drop some new points and this is a reminder that they do that.

But if you go to the Beast of Chaos errata for example theres no point changes there.

Looks like the updated FAQs are starting to come in, albeit slowly.

EDIT: BoC is now up in Espanol.

I'm surprised they're dropping new FAQs considering the AoS 'Big FAQ' is due next month.

Its not like they're going to get much work done in the next two weeks. Might as well get the finished ones out, especially if there aren't many changes.

Or they're training a new guy. They've updated the Base Sizes document and moved it in with the FAQs (and left the old one in the Downloads section). They updated the Skaven FAQ, but it's disappeared from the AoS FAQ section and is infesting all of the other FAQ categories (but I guess that's what Skaven do ). The only FAQ they seem to have done right is the Maggotkin of Nurgle where they've added a few errata and added the Pitched Match Profiles at the end of the PDF.

Since these things usually drop at the end of the month, it would be more like five weeks. Regardless, they usually all drop the same day.

Well, it seems like they've taken care of the Skaven infestation. However, it now seems that several AoS FAQs have gone missing (e.g., Skaven, Gloomspite Gitz, Ossiarch Bonereapers).

I figured out the Sylvaneth Points changes from the French version:

Alarielle - 600 (-60)
Durthu - 300 (-40)
Treelord Ancient - 260 (-40)
Treelord - 180 (-20)

Gotta say, that is pretty nice, but I still think the base Treelord is overpriced.

Well compared to Kurnoths everything save Drycha will seem overpriced.

160 would have been very compelling.

I just wish they would change around the Battalion to 2 Treelords, 1 Ancient.

I think the TLA and the TL still need to drop 20 more points each, but this is a really good start.

I may start using Alarielle.

I’m not seeing any FAQ’s yet other than Maggotkin, bases and the General’s Handbook.
