Nothing wrong with such a teaser. It's still just a pretty basic drawing. I don't think it'll take away from the eventual fully detailed, fully painted model reveal.

Between the serpent ladys in the first video, the "Morathi was still flesh and blood, but changed / Twisted in the form of her tormentor" and now this second video with legs (!) it indicates IMO that the original rumor from the T'au "Custodes" poster was once again right : Morathi will have two models to represent her two forms

Slaanesh herself no, but Fulgrim, Dechala, the champion's daemonic steed, etc. ...

Maybe. But she said SHE was twisted into the form of her tormentor. Morathi was first describe as still flesh and blood but changed. And the two models rumor seems credible here now.

There's this Lord of Slaanesh on Daemonic Mount who's quite serpentine.

I don't recall the timeline exactly, so I may be wrong about this, but the Warhammer Community article doesn't go up immediately after the seminar. First we get to enjoy reports and shaky pictures from the seminar before we get glossy high quality pictures in the related article. There's nothing to stop GW from having a seminar on Thursday and an article on Saturday.

Funny thing is, last few WW/HH seminars had Warhammer Community photos before they even started. People even complained that you could view pictures of what is going to be presented as you stood in queue waiting for gates to open to actually get in. Pity LVO gets special treatment in that regard

Adepticon was the same. We had no idea what was gonna be shown off before the videos started. Deathguard was a shocker.

Khorne has the canine features, Tzeentch avian, Nurgle...flies(?), might as well let Slaanesh run wild with the snake theme?

Some opulently dressed serpentine warriors would be pretty swanky.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Someone already said - yes. Both Shornaal(snake) and Loesh(sea serpent) aspects of Slaanesh in the Norscan pantheon uses serpentine imagery, and Slaaneshi factions among the northern barbarians take names like Tribe of the Serpent. I can't speak to any of the nuFluff.

Normally Slaanesh is represented with snakes or cows. Khorne is wolfs and dogs, and Tzeentch is birds (Ravens) and fish.
Nurgle is represented with flies but I believe he had other animal attached to him, but I can't remember what was it.

I believe Nurgle was the Crow, Tzeentch was the Eagle, Khorne was the Hound and Slaanesh was the Serpent among the Norscan tribes as far as I can find.

Yeah, Nurgle had the crows and Tzeentch had ravens.

Indeed, Warhammer Online frequently referred to Tzeentch as 'the Raven God'.

Were there any Nurgle models that really incorporated the crow motif? I can't recall any.

I just think of goats and pestigors.

A crow is a bird of the genus Corvus, or more broadly as a synonym for all of Corvus. The term "crow" is used as part of the common name of many species.

Corvus is a genus, not a species.
Think of it like this:
Family->Genus->Species
So, the Common Raven would be:
Corvus Corax of the Corvidae family.

Crow is kind of a catch-all for anything smaller than a raven.

Spoiler:

This guy had a crow.

There aren't many, but it was always kinda/sorta just that it got associated with Nurgle because of the fact that crows are associated with decaying corpses it seemed like.

So all Ravens are Crows but not all Crows are Ravens. Ok, thanks.

I think the Nurgle association with Crows is like Tzeentch with Fish and Slaanesh with Cows, more of a background thing. Their primary animals have always been Flies, Ravens/Birds and Snakes.
