I am willing to be a lot that the spikey ball with a skull is the Amarythine Orb spell.

It's the right colour, the right shape, looks the right size and has a skull, yep, it's Amarythine Orb.

You know what that means SPELL EFFECTS/MISSILES/VORTEXES ATE BEING REPRESENTED BY MODELS.

You cast a spell and to resolve its effect you put down this model and move/attack with it accordingly.

Awesome way of doing magic, even better than using templates etc.

The Warhammer Underworlds new war bands cards preview ;

Look at the card ; a new type of ghost, a new type of Stormcast.

Top right you can see the faction symbol, the ghost one looks like the bits on the Knight of Shrouds base, that + the new (long rumored) Black Coach video confirms a new Nighhaunt army IMO. And the Stormcast card symbol (Anvil and Lighting) looks like the one the new Lord-Ordinator, so new chamber.

Add to that the fact that the first 2 Shadespire warbands were of the same faction as the first AOS Starter set, I guess that the new Shadespire / WHU starter set (or the 2 first new bands) will reflect the content of the Second Starter set rumored for June - that is, new Stormcast chamber against Nighhaunt !

Yep, that ghost can be seen in the Nighthaunts teaser. Can't tell what weapon they're holding and they seem to have an iron halo shoved on their heads.

They don't fly, that terrain peice projects a magic aura that lets them act as if there was water (from earlier rumors) sort of like the fake moon from DBZ

The deepkin look cool, this range will for sure take at least a full month to release though. Very excited to see these kits in full, plus glad to hear Shadespire is going to see continued support.

New foot archer look cool, although I thought they would use repeater crossbow instead of bows. And the arrow and quiver look a bit oversize.

A flying turtle is one of the most iconic images in all fantasy.
The Deepkin stuff all looks utterly fantastic. GW pushing the bonkers to 11 is exactly what I want from Aos.

What's interesting to me is that GW seems to be firing on all cylinders in 40K....but AoS gets increasingly more awful to me. Each successive AoS release is just more of "yep, looks like I'll never ever get into Warhammer Fantasy".

I suppose it's a good thing, actually. I'd rather genuinely see all of the Old World disappear rather than be dragged along kicking and screaming into the current range.

I've seen Godzilla and Gamera fly. I'm completely fine with these flying creatures.

I am so in on Deepkin. Fantastic.

Are you kidding? With the possible exception of the Fyreslayers, pretty much every release has been amazing in both theme and model quality. I mean, everybody is entitled to their own opinions, but geez, what does AoS have to do to get some respect?

Shouldn't be. Teclis created the Idoneth Deepkin but they fled him.

I'm by no means an AOS person and have very little concept of the setting and factions but I have a feeling that might have to change with those deepkin, oh my!

At the very least I am getting the turtle just to paint, what an excellent looking model.

For the deepkin is this faction based on the old High Elves lore wise? Or are they more of a Dark Elf derivative faction lore wise?

Surely both, I see both influences, plus the infantry looks a bit like the sylvaneth dudes.

Wow, at first I was really bummed I heard the new factions were "mere Elves" thinking they would be something more akin to Lovecrafitan Deep Ones, but after taking a closer look at the models they are simply incredible. I was really holding out for some new Warriors of Chaos models (not god specific), but the Deepkin will probably get me to pick up AoS.

This reveal and the previous Khaine reveal are the first sets of models to make me even remotely interested in AoS! I really like these Deepkin!

Was hoping that the new release of aelves might push me to AOS, but neither the sisters or these are doing it for me. I liked the look of the old Fantasy, not this new spin off so I feel AOS is a game that will make me just stay on the sidelines and observe from a distance.

Idoneth seem to be very polarising. Can see why though, their style is unlike anything in Warhammer. We went from Grimdark (most AoS releases have still been quite Grimdark ish, gritty and visceral) to full anime.

I think they look awesome, would love to see them on the tabletop.
