We can but hope, they havent beaten a real heavyweight team yet , not there fault you can only beat whoever is in front of you, but we will all be dead before 66 talk ends, if they win now my children will never hear the end of it.

Let's not legitimise your hatred of the English, in case none of you have noticed - football hooligans exist in almost every country across the world without exception (where football is followed by a high percentage of the populace at least).
Back on topic I feel sorry for Belgium, the way France played for the last half hour of that match was a disgrace. Time wasting and pretending to be hurt were the orders of the day. If I see no more Frenchmen whine about players too close to free kicks and corners I'll have seen enough. The ref also missed a clear free kick on the edge of the box and seemed to give very little to Belgium. Lloris was a beast though and ultimately kept France in the game.
Yeah. So France is in the finals. That was to be expected, though Belgium definitely stood a fair chance. Would have been nice to see Belgium in the finals though.
Really looking forward to today's match. Whoever wins there is the one I will be cheering on in the finals. I hope it will be Croatia, but England would be nice as well.

Oh no. We lose here in a closely fought match and nobody will complain. If we make it to the finals people won't shut up about it.
As much as I will be thrilled about England being in the finals, my sanity couldn't cope

If it is a France England final, I'd love to see the English supporters all show up with foam longbows. Agincourt 2.0!

Been rooting for England since the first round strangely enough.
Past years their media coverage is usually beyond nauseous but I like the team and Southgate carries himself very well.
Englaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand!

Uoooo...that would be funny.
Well, I would like to see a small Nation in the final. But we will see tomorrow. Maybe we see Modric in the Final.
I was hoping for a Croatia - Belgium final just to make sure there'd be a brand new winner, but of course this means France - England is almost a given.
I wouldn't say anything is a given at this point. England have a long and storied tradition of falling at the final (or sometimes even the first!) hurdle.
Interestingly, Slaven Bilic on ITV made the point that Croatia have a bit of a habit of choking under the pressure and they certainly looked very nervy in their knockout games and came very close to going out on penalties so I am hoping they will be extra nervous tonight and England can take advantage. I think, on paper, England perhaps have the slightly better team; it is going to come down to mentality tonight I think - who deals with the pressure the best. Still ,there is no reason we shouldn't be optimistic about getting a result - the team should be ultra-hyped for this game; the opportunity to get to a World Cup final only comes around once in a lifetime for England fans so they should grasp it with both hands.
The final is a different matter. France were my pick for dark horse before the tournament started (wish I had put a bet on it now!) and they have looked pretty good, if relatively unspectacular so far. They don't seem to have much in the way of weaknesses, other than maybe the fullbacks defensively. The central defenders both have the odd ricket in them too although they are also more than capable of being world beaters too and the forward line is plain scary.
The neutral observers think England could beat Croatia but are underdogs in this game, though England's relative youth will be a factor if things stretch out in to the second half and extra time.
That said, I don't think anyone fancies England versus France in the final.
In some ways it would be better to narrowly lose to Croatia now, rather than get thrashed by France and have their confidence crushed.
Dubai can be England's time in the sun. The team will have that much more experience and still be relatively young.
Immortality is 90 minutes away for these England players. Either it will be a glorious march to the final, or it'll end up like this:

deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky. But is it true?" - Tom Kirby, CEO, Games Workshop Ltd
An argument I've heard against England is that they rely too much on set pieces. But that ignores that the English threat is so great that opponents have to foul or kick the ball out of play. England are taking advantage of that with Tripier's and Young's deliveries. And Blockhead's massive bonce!

Nah. They seem to be exhibiting teamwork and not hogging the ball. And no overpaid goon has been given a red card because they can’t control their temper.
This is a very different England.
