"Covfefe" is the greatest twitter thing ever. It's amazeballs that we don't get anymore of this unintentional greatness. (just goes to show that Trump isn't writing his tweets anymore, an intern is probably doing it at Trump's dictation). Automatically Appended Next Post: And the pen gets to work:
Trump's executive order will allow families to be detained together, but won't end "zero tolerance," source says
From CNN's Kevin Liptak
A source familiar with the upcoming executive order on family separations says it will not end the "zero tolerance" policy that is prompting the border separations.
It will be more narrowly focused on ending the family separations by allowing families to be detained together.
This source noted that it's not yet clear how the families that are currently separated will be reunited.
That's going to run afoul with a court order that mandates children can't be detained for more than 20 days (via 9th court of appeals)... expect to see some court actions. So, they're optimistic that something will get legislatively passed, or willing to argue in court.

I think the best part of trump's twitter is the fact it's official presidential policy/documents/whatever, so him deleting any of his tweets goes against the Presidential Records Act.

I assume all of the people that were absolutely adamant that Trump totally couldn't fix this on his own, and all he's doing is enforcing the law, are now absolutely furious that he is soft on illegals and is no longer enforcing the law, right? I am sure we're going to see 12-15 posts by the people on the last few pages expressing exactly those sentiments? Right?

He didn't undo the zero tolerance... he's instructing the DHS to keep the family together. I would be more upset if he rescinded the zero tolerance policy. If the adjudication exceed 20 days, we'll start seeing some lawsuits.

Odd that he remained in that position this whole time...
He also appears to be hiring a new legal team.
However, of greater note is this tidbit

If Sessions hadn't recused himself, Trump would have an AG who would have stopped the Russia Probe, which would mean that Democrats would not have any excuse for not working with Trump, which would mean that Trump would have been able to build a wall by now to stop the immigration. But because of the #witchhunt Trump can't get anything past this obstructionist legislature and had to resort to separating these kids, none of which would have happened if Sessions would have told Trump he was going to recuse himself, in which case Trump would have withdrawn Sessions nomination and put someone else in charge, which would mean that we wouldn't have children in cages right now.
Trump Logic.

Yes, that's her. I didn't know about the Norwegian thing, she was the one who claimed a week ago that there were no separations occurring. Which, of course, is now a pretty common tactic, just flat out fething lying in a bid to appeal to I don't even know who since literally everyone knows it's a blatant lie.

Man this thread flies, take an OT break for a day and it's added five pages!
Anyways I don't support the 'deplorables' term, or any similar ones from either side, regardless of how much truth there is or isn't to them. Because name-calling simply isn't productive in any capacity. If term A really is true it would be better to say "X group is A" because just that change of phrasing dramatically changes how the message sounds over "X is a bunch of A's".
And as others have mentioned, that name-calling somehow drove people to trump is one of the flimsiest and hypocritical excuses I've heard.

No special effort planned to reunite migrant families already separated: report
There will be no special effort from the Trump administration to reunite migrant families separated at the border, according to a report from The New York Times, despite President Trump signing an executive order halting the practice.
The Times cites a Health and Human Services (HHS) Department official as saying that the children will not immediately be reunited with their families while their parents are detained throughout their immigration proceedings.
“There will not be a grandfathering of existing cases,” Kenneth Wolfe, spokesman for the Administration for Children and Families, part of HHS, told The Times.
The Hill has reached out to HHS for further comment.
Wolfe said that the decision about the children would be ultimately be handled by the White House, but said “I can tell you definitively that is going to be policy.”
Welp, that ulcer's gonna keep bleeding...

If a theory that basically boils down to "I'll vote for the donkey-cave because you called me an donkey-cave" helps people sleep better at night, then there really is nothing anyone can do to point out how stupid that theory really is.
The truth is that people decided that it having a pussy-grabbing white supremacist pandering POTUS is more acceptable than a Democrat for president.
A large part of the population may not be racist and sexist and filled with hate. But they were okay with having a racist sexist hateful president.
