So yes Warhammer Fest happens in under 24 hours! So here's a thread for general chit chat about the event and the revelations that will appear from the seminars, chatting, gossip and torture of GW and FW Staffers.

So stoked to see some glimpses.

There's a fair bit of chatter that we might see Moonclan this weekend. All aboard the Squig train!!!!!

Hoping or a better look at the AT warhound, Delaque, and most of all a sort of progress update on sisters of battle.

PM me if Fires Of Cyraxus, I'm going to be off crying in the corner.

Hoping they show up new ork releases there. That's the #1 thing I'm hoping to hear from this.

There has been a bunch of Grot Scuttlings in the GW Comic. So that is intriguing.

Show me Speed Freeks boxed set, all of it.

Show me new Ork releases but keep big ol' Ghazzy hidden away for now, his majesty can come later, ya git!

That's the worst case but somehow I'm feeling optimistic on miniature side.

Also maybe we get hint on when we get the codex. I suspect 1.9 for pre-order.

It will be a green event. Moonclan and Orks will feature prominently. The last big event was all about AoS 2.0 and the new undead models, so the emphasis this time move back to 40K with the impending Ork codex, Speed freeks, and any other associated products with a sprinkling of Kill Team. These are my predictions.
I'm setting my alarm to catch events as soon as they are posted.

Delaque peeks. Concrete Speed Freeks info. Sisters of Battle update. A firmer timescale for the Warlord weapons addon.

If they can manage all of that, I'll be a happy chappie.

EDIT: Oh and some indication of when we can expect the book of collected rules for N17 would be very welcome.

Its not happening. The entire book was finished for 7th and has to be 100% re-written. And that includes making changing the whole story to fit it into 8th. The author himself said it isnt being worked on a few months ago.

I mean, IIRC, the last open day FW did was a damp squib.

Fest is different to open day though, should be more at the former.

I literally just found out what a damp squib was yesterday, so I had a hearty laugh at seeing it in use for the second time in my life. Well timed sir.


I imagine we will probably see the following:

Delaque preview for Necromunda and maybe a resin model
Next Blood Bowl team (they only have four months to fit in two if they keep to four in a year) and maybe a resin model or two
What else they will be bringing back for LOTR SBG is involved in Pelennor
Previews of the next AOS models (I'm guessing Moon Clan Grots)
Maybe a little something from KT: Rogue Trader


Either way, I hope it's more exciting than the last open day.

You can see what they showed off at the last Warhammer Fest HERE on Warhammer Community. That includes the new Age of Sigmar Soul Wars models, the endless spells and a first look at the new Adepta Sororitas models.
