Zoids and Power Rangers toys might be a place to look too. The shield/blade liger is the star of Zoids so it should be relatively common but I have no idea about scale. I expect that OG PR toys are going to be hard to get ahold of but somewhere out there is a warehouse full of unsold toys for the second first power rangers movie from a few years ago…

You could commission a 3d sculptor, might be cheaper than hunting down OOP toys.

Crablezworth, I especially like the work you've put into that Engine War scenario. The lack of scenarios that aren't in-depth historical ones has been annoying me for a while now.

OK princepses and princeps...esses?... I have a modelling question.

I've got a half-finished maniple for Solaria sitting in a box. The project stalled because I wanted to replace the Warhounds' robo-dog heads with robo-cat ones. Lion, sabre-tooth tiger, that kind of thing.

I was hoping to use the heads off Voltron toys, but they turned out too big. (They might work for a Warlord or Warbringer, though, if anyone wants to steal that idea.)

Any suggestions on suitable models? Wargaming minis, toys, anything?

Yes, I know the AdMech would disapprove of such blatant cat-goddess worship. Sssh.

Thanks, glad to see engine war catch on hopefully gonna update it soon to fix a few errors and clean things up a bit.

There was someone in one of the facebook groups that replaced the warhound heads with more fox looking ones, the group is called "adeptus titanicus, e[ic (all editions), and aeronautica imperialis group" quite the mouthful lol. But ya if you join it and scroll down there's shots of the fox heads and a cool reaver with a custom head.

I found a cat skull head that might work if you can get copy made. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3393942

Also looks like the castigator and acheron are a 4 knight kit, 1 of each on each sprue.

I have to hand it to you Crabblesworth, that is some sweet AT terrain - that really is how it should be done right there.

Set to work on finalising a revised household force, and ordered a new set of Questoris to make some scions and a senechal. I doubt they will give the gauntlet and chainsword separate rules, so to help identify the big cheeses in the lance I shall give them gauntlets, and the marshals chainswords.

Was considering the new cerastus but I have a nagging feeling they will be in some discount battleforce set at christmas, and should hold off until then.

I missed out on last years knight box so I'm keen on what there'll be this year.

Yeah, its hard to say if we'll even have one this year but I got caught out twice before.

Been thinking a lot on it lately, and I'm wondering if they have one more suprise in store for us around October. At the moment such a set could either be...

A) Warbringer, Sunfury Warlord & Cerastus variants.
B) All three plastic terrain sets so far...
C) Warbringer, Cerastus variants....Rapier titans?
D) Cerastus variants, Magaera or Atropos and a Warbringer for support.

...or...just maybe...

E) Nothing at all.

...even if its nothing at all, there is always that new starter set...

Presumably it'd be loud enough for the Princeps to hear from the cockpit while he's standing on the ground, whatever it is.

The rare 'teamwork focused' warlord - he's no glory hogging kill stealer! he's the set-up man, the heavy; breaking cover, taking the hits and applying the lanchester square rule!!

All he needs is a pack of faithful plasma doggos.

Oh man, can you imagine? Master & Hounds Maniple:
Compulsory: 1 Warlord, 2 Warhounds
Optional: up to 4 more Warhounds
Maniple Rule: the Warlord receives +2 to command checks to go on First Fire or Split Fire orders but must target enemies the Warhounds have line of sight to.
The Warhounds may form one or two squadrons with up to four members each.
If the Warhounds form two squadrons, the warlord may pre-measure all ranges and firing arcs for enemy models visible to at least one Warhound from each squadron.

I prefer the Lucius armour over the Mars pattern. Squared off looks good on the Warhound.

There is a certain charm to the Lucius as It fits in well with the "modern" space marine aesthetic.

Personally I was rather fond of the classic hound design where the weapons hung vertically at the sides.

It seems like it has more shield projectors too, there's room for 4 instead of two the mars. Definitely looks beefier in terms of taking a hit.

It'll just be nice to have a warhound that sorta stands out from my other two, I might try equipping the body with ablative ceramite armour from the ryza book so its a bit more resilient.

Indeed, as a different paint job can only stretch so far.

Its actually worth looking at scratch-built 40K titans, as the Lucius seems the most simple one to build with its angular design. Could be a fun project at Titanicus scale.

Yeah I have that problem with my warhounds, I try to differentiate by inverting the weaponry but I sometimes screw up and adjust the wrong warhound's command terminal. I gotta label those things eventually.
