Lots of nice stuff in your pics! And I quite like the skin on the ogroid esp. the wounds, they look really nasty and fresh.

I for one love a good bit of rambling painting, you never know what magic comes next. The Ogroid and Khal look awesome!

Rambling is good. Helps keep you loose. Maybe not as productive as focus or discipline would have you, but loose. Helps prevent burnout, too.
Patina on the Ogroid's shield is money.

Thanks for the encouragement and kind comments everyone, it is great for inspiring me to paint more.
So this is my end of the month wrap up post, what have I been up to since my last post?
First up are some more ASOIAF miniatures, first is the last of my Freefolk starters heroes in the form of Lady Val The Wildling Princess, she never made it to the TV adaptation and is from the books alone. Nothing special here, just a nice and simple paintjob for a static and neutral coloured mini:
A bit more dynamic are my first Targaryen miniatures, the Dothraki Screamers. I had fun with these especially doing a few different schemes for the horses:
Next up is Warcry where I have painted the Mindstealer Sphiranx. I am a cat owner so this miniature really appealed to me, I just decided to have fun with it and went with a scheme slightly different from the studio one:
Now a confession...I have not stuck to my pledge of trying to buy less stuff as the new Adeptus Titanicus The Horus Heresy starter set. The good news is that I have already painted up a third of it. First up is a Traitor Cerastus Knight. I used the newer Citadel colours of Lupercal Green and Sons Of Horus Green for an as yet unidentified Knight household. I added some biege as a nice contrasting colour and here he is:
I also painted up a Traitor Warhound, his colours fit Legio Mordaxis so I may well go for that. No weathering yet, as I just have no idea how to weather the purple. Any hints anyone?
So that brings me to my February month in review.
5 Game Systems: 40k, AOS, Warcry, ASOIAF and Adeptus Titanicus.
7 Factions: Free Folk, Targaryens, GSC, Nighthaunt, Dwarfs, Chaos and Traitor Legions.
18 miniatures painted, add that to the 40 from last month and I am at 58 for the year thus far.
Thanks for looking, I know there is a fair bit there. Oh, and WIP?

Good looking stuff. The Sphinx really came out nice. AoS continues to deliver interesting models. The Dothraki are sweet and I can't fault you for getting more cool robots.

Great haul for the month! The Cat and Hound being my favourites. I agree with youwashock, some of the new Warcry/AoS minis are really novel at the moment. I think the warhound looks great all crisp and clean, I always kinda imagined them keeping pristine until their shields go down then they get smashed!

@Aku-Chan: Cheers dude, I adore the sculpt. I may get another so I can paint the alternate head up. And with it facing the other way they would be like bookends for each other.
@Youwasshock: So you like cool looking robots...yeah I have another revelation. Payday was also work bonus day. So I bought another Adeptus Mechanicus starter set..and a Warlord..and a Warbringer Nemesis Titan and a box of Acastus Knight Porphyrion. I clearly have a problem.
@Viterbi: Thank you, you are always good with colour choice regardless.
@Gobert: I see so many amazing warhounds with hazard stripes and great personal heraldry...but I am just not up to it . I would rather a neat and clean job overall. May well continue that trend then.
Cannot believe how much of a numpty I have been, I completely forgot to post my February "all painted" picture.
A lot of characters and individual miniatures rather than units but I am content with that lot as it a mixture of a little bit of everything. But I *really* need to get working on my Celestial Lions again.

Thanks!
And that crusher The skin is superb and the stitching on the leather gauntlet really pops. Nice to see the group shot of all the monsters, I'm really excited to tackle them myself, but they are my reward after I finished most of the terrain and two warbands.

Cheers gents, had a day doing nothing and stuck inside (I wonder why???) so made a bit of progress on the Warlord, starting with the legs. I am not entirely sold on my weathering yet, especially in the close up shots, but I am happy with my colour choices and the transfers so that is a plus. I also added a few shrubs to the base for a touch of variation.
I am also aware that often this is not really a blog, more a log of what I have completed. Truth be told i do not like taking pictures of half finished things but thought I would share a bit of the process on the Warlord.
First up is a black undercoat, then a coat of leadbelcher spray. After that I give the whole mode a Runefang steel drybrush. Next up is Retributor gold on the trim. this is then followed by another runefang drybrush over the gold. What brings it altogether is a 50/50 Aggrax and medium wash. That brings me to this:
Carapace weapons:
So the only thing I have not started on are the arm weapons, but I will leave them until last.
Finally are a couple of scale shots of the Titans next to a Primaris Marine just to give those that have not seen the AT minis in person an idea of their size:
Thanks for looking.

Looks like you’re making good use of the lockdown. I seem to recall the old Epic Knights being about the same size as old Marines, so these new AT ones are pretty big. It’s surprising how small the Warhounds look compared to the knights.

Great work on the AT models. I really love them, but seeing as I shoul not start another game, I will be content watching you progress to them.
And I know you are on different continents, but I would love to see your more subdued purple/green titans against vejut's bright neon ones

Blimey, I do not look in on the blog for a few days and there are a raft of responses...thank you.
@Youwasshock: The new scale certainly makes it feel a lot more, small e here, epic.
@Gobert: Sadly personally I am not on lockdown. I work in food retail so we are working very hard to keep people fed. The Warhounds are relatively small, but I think the scale is equal to their 40k Forge World equivalents.
@Viterbi: I am terrible at remembering names, and do not believe I have seen Vejut's Titans, I shall have to seek them out.
@Paradigm: Thank you Sir, what is the score with your studying and the current situation?
@Slinky: Purple is my all time favourite colour to use on models, I think about 50% of the armies I have ever painted have it. Just simple GW Xereus Purple over black.
@Captain Brown: Thank you, I have never really understood the exalt system but it is appreciated none the less.
So progress, he is done! I have not glued the torso to the legs as it sits just fine without the glue and allows it to be freely rotated without magnets. Anyway, the pictures:
That gives me a full Axiom Maniple, clocking in at a little over 1200pts:
I also constructed my Warbringer Nemesis Titan, who do you think he should represent? Legio Mordaxis or Astorum?
And the sub assemblies for painting:
Finally I have invested in a bit of terrain, first from GW:
And scale:
I have also bought the Vanguard miniatures ruined gothic city set, a cool looking set of over 100 of these bits for £25:
That is me done for now. This month I have done a fair bit of painting, but I am not yet at 10 miniatures for the month so need to get motoring.
Thanks for looking.

Agreed, they look great, and unlike me, you didn't stint on all the little details. I'd lean towards Mordax for the warbringer, that big chunky cannon in brass or steel would probably look good set against the more sombre purple.
@gobert, to be fair, those poryphon are all of one scale point smaller than the warhounds, but then, the cerastus aren't much smaller either. I'm more shocked at how big they look compared to the Reaver.

A rather fetching maniple you’ve pulled together in crazy short order! They’re going to look even better stalking through the new terrain! I agree with vejut, the warbringer would look great in purple! Sounds like I maybe had the scale thing the wrong way round and some of those knights are huge!
