Turns out for the Imperial Fists their decoration is... another fist.

Sure! Why not?

Eh, I'm not a fan. Not that it's a surprise after the treatment the blood bloods and wolf wolfs got, but Imperial Fists don't need to have fists dangling everywhere.

At least it's just an upgrade sprue and not as excessive as complete, dedicated models would be.

Wait, you mean you're not looking forward to the Fist guard terminators? the ThunderFist cavalry (yeah, picture that one)? The Fist company? im especially looking forward to the CyberFist
Only if the cavalry are riding mechanical hands that are walking around like Thing from the Addams Family.

Since the Fist emblem is molded on the Power Fist(which is different from all of the other upgrades other than the UM), I almost wonder if Imperial Fists Chapter Tactics will be required to use them.

I am pretty sure Imperial Fists Primaris Marines are called Primarfist Marines. And Fistigus Hand will have a power fist where each of the fingers ends in a little fist.

What we really need is a piece of imperial fist only terrain along the lines of the IK thing and the mekboy workshop. One of those things where you pay points for the privilege of having a unit waste a turn doing nothing in exchange for no tangible benefit the following turn.

Perhaps it could take the form of a massive fist that that your guys could dither around swearing oaths, praying and stuff. Then in the next turn their move speed could be marginally increased or they could have rerolls to hit.

Unfortunately I’m not able to come up with a fist-based name for it. Shrine of fists, maybe.

I don't know if this counts as one of the christmas bundles, but they are currently selling a "Battleforce Genestealer Cult" with quite some discount. I don't know if this might be old news, as the following link shows "2017", though I didn't know about this one.

https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Bforce-Genestealer-Cults-Insurrection-2017

It came out last year. They've sadly sold through it on the US webstore.

Last year had the GSC set, a Tau set, a Guard set, and an Ork set.

It'll be a miniature version of the Phalanx and named in honor of the greatest invention ever: Fozzrik' s Flying Fist.

Pain Glove!

It's already in the fluff.

Your unit takes D3 Mortal Wounds (1 if it's a character) to gain an aura/re-roll.

It's great because it combines all three of 8th's special rules into a single building.

Yes I think that's a good idea. The IK thing and mekboy workshop force you to pay points to do nothing, but at least they don't actually kill you.

I guess they could go the other way and make something like the nurgle tree - an untargetable terrain piece with an aura that inexplicably makes your whole army much better.

I also think there could be unintended consequences of releasing a fist-shaped plastic toy at this scale. Still, it'll be a cool story for doctors who have to remove them from people.

A Fist Fortress? Essentially all they’d need to do is re-model a Bastion and give it a couple of extra rules and you’re sorted!

How compatible are Primaris shoulder pads with standard Marines? Those upgrade kits look great for none-Primaris Imperial Fists too, so long as the shoulder pads work for either.

I don't foresee any issue with the standard ones, but I am more doubtful of the Gravis pads fitting Terminators.

The standard shoulder pads for Primaris will go on original marines no problem. Heads and shoulder pads are the same size.

For someone who's starting with Primaris (and subscribed to Warhammer Conquest, and got Dark Imperium), which is the best of the two battleforces to get... or is it even worth getting one?

I don't mind imp. fists as I like Crimson Fists, and just paint them as that.

That depends on what your metric for "best" is.

They're both really good bundles.

Though if you've got Dark Imperium and you're a Conquest subscriber then I don't know that you're getting that much extra value, really. You'll wind up with a lot of redundancies that you may not need or want.

I'm going to need this upgrade frame several times over.

Any ideas what the non-yellow parts on the second and third rows are?

looks like building and navigation tools. Sextant, angle drop-things that work out the angle of stuff, some rope with a fist on it (for extreme fist-o action), should shield and the scanner-thing that goes on the backpack

Techie bits and bobs, protractor and sextant, maybe.

Third row is a drafting compass, a typical 40k rondell, some kind of rope with an Imperial Fists icon on it (pendant? grappling hook? flagelation device?) and some kind of targeter?
