Really tempted by the Primaris Interdiction box. $345 CAD for $200 is pretty good, It's a free Repulsor and Captain.

And what box I actually want. Death Guard is not terribly exciting and I sure as hell don't need more Blightlords, but I only have one Drone and no Crawler so far. Idoneth has frigging SHARKS(!!!) and the DoK monster elves are SO nice and I really should limit the amount of armies I have, even as allies.

I can take that. Price went up with postage and the usual PayPal ripoff fees, but 195€ still is a LOT less than 260€... Considering as single purchases that's almost 400€ I really can't complain.

I used to order everything from EG, but every time I made a larger order the package would arrive open because they only put a single piece of tape over the top, and I told them several times and they did nothing

I’ve not had a good experience with Wayland but others obviously do (they are still in business after all).

For something that is likely to be limited release, such as these boxes, I would be extra cautious though. They don’t seem the most pro-active in either stocking their sales or notifying customers when the stock is never going to come.

I have to mention Alchemists Workshop here, if we're talking best online shops to order from. They normally beat out Element on prices (eg hellblasters £26.95 vs Element's £29.75), although the battle boxes are the same, £80... and they are lightning quick.

Triple Helix are a shade cheaper but slower and what they have in stock is a bit hard to see, whereas Alchemists, what they say they have, they have. Lovely people though, very reliable.

Element's cool too, wide range of stock, but again, they often say they have stuff in which they don't. AW is where I always get my big purchases from, and then normal boxes from lfgs.

Firestorm Games have always done me good without any issues, prompt to ship; easy to see stock levels and generally proactive with any communications with regard to issues (not that I've ever really had any that were not my own doing such as entering the wrong address).


Wayland are much better now than they were. Their website clearly shows stock and your order page after you make an order clearly shows which items have stock allocated to them and which are awaiting resupply. They are also good at resolving any issues once you contact them. I've also noticed that their system now generates an automatic support contact if an order is outstanding on their system for around 4 weeks. Would be nicer if this were sooner, but it at least creates it.

They do tend to have stock issues and if something is out of stock you might well find they are slower than many others to get stock in and ship it out. Like some stores this can vary depending on when you order and if you order before they put in their weeks orders you've got more chance than if you're after that cuttoff date and have to wait for the next weeks shipment.


Overall I recommend Wayland with the only warning that if its out of stock you might wait a bit longer than with some other stores.

Kind of tempted to pick up two of the Titan Sets.

From a discounter, I get the bits I really want (Reavers and Warhound), then the two Warlords.

One I’ll keep, and actually magnetise this time, ready for future weapons. The other? Well, maybe I’ll keep hold of it for now, so I can better react to the weapons we’ve not had a preview of.

For a largely reasonable amount of money, I should be able to Field most Maniples in the game.

So is it 5 or 10 Hellblasters in the Imperial Fists Box? If its 10, i am sold. If its 5, i am not sure if i want to add another box of 10 just to get a full squad of 10....

Yeah, kind of. But I guess since we're already saving around 100€ over the individual kits, another five Hellblasters might have been a bit much.

The thing is, if i want to have a full squad of 10 Hellblasters, i have to buy an additional box of...10. So i have 5 too much. if they would still sell the combat squad boxes...

The Combat Squads seemed to be less than stellar in terms of sales...except for the Hellblasters.

Yeah, makes sense. I wouldn't know what's desirable in the game at the moment. I've hardly played 8th ed and my last game was in February.

How convenient that this box is the only way to get the Imperial Fists sprue, then. What more incentive could you want?

If you have Dark Imperium, you'd have 5 Hellblasters. Adding +5 from the Battleforce brings you to 10.

Which leaves me with the standard Plasma Incinerator. If i would like to build 10 Heavy Plasma Incinerators i would have the same problem.

They come in boxes of 5 as well.

EBay. There will be traders buying up the battleforces and sell8ng them off as parts. I predict that just after release there will.be a fair few sets of 5 hellblasters on the sprue to.pick up. Alternatively pick up the easy to.build hellblasters and a.set of separate heavy backpacks for another couple of quid.
