This looks set to be a very cool army, I'm excited to see how you get on. I've been tempted to use those nighthaunt for various minis of my 40k admech. Those servomechs look brill.

Well step 1 done.

Next up metal. but probably not all in one go.

For those curios,

3 medicae, 7 discipline cadre. 60 grenadiers, 6 (12 men) artillery pieces, 3 sentinels and 10 cav. and 9 HWT.

Total man power painted in tan; 104 and some equipment.

Looks good! Plus a some negavolt cultists and a decimator, good to see two of my favorite models to oversee operations

Hell of a process, one color at a time for the whole army, but you are making such fantastic progress. I love your conversions - nice and simple, but effective. Looking forward to seeing the next color.

Just keep painting, just keep painting! Metals always seem a massive slog to me and I don’t paint in anything like that big a batch!

Metals are a slog if you don't know your strenghts. Mine are none hence i paint slopyliy hence i chose a sheme that benefits from it.

They absolutly are sloppy it's just that with this scheme it doesn't matter

No i don't like the army painter speed paints due to reactivation issues. I do use the chainmail silver of them though for most of my metal needs.

Anyways. The rest of the units got metal stage 1.

Oh they already faced parts of it, and happen to be salamanders players in a system were salamanders are basically the equivalent off the doom music kicking in when facing either solar auxilia OR militia.

However, IDC, since this is a milita army centered around Artillery with a flanking component.
Symbol legend. Arrow forward is a sargent.
Numbers are infantry, Triangular numbers are Fieldguns. X and number combination are flanking units. Medicae are arrow nurgle symbol on head.









infantry units V - VII, grenadiers. Can be supplemented with either Plasmaguns or Meltas.

Discipline cadre for every single squad, Equpment: Autopistol, refractorfield carapace armor and a power sword. Because Killing marines is fun.







Anyways, since i have to clean up the showcase father rust is in, i will probably do my army shoot tomorrow when it is finished.

Also, it's insane to me that i have nearly a quartr million views on my blog. Sheesh.

This force is complete until plastic malcadors are a thing.
Model count. 60 grenadiers. 60 militia infantry. 17 command squad members. 7 medicae, 7 Discipline masters, 1 force commander, 9 HWT, 9 Field ordnance batteries, 10 cav, 3 sentinels and 1 malcador.

Total 184 models. Infantry centric.

Great googly-moogly this project has moved fast!

The army looks great together- as a mentor once told me "In mass lies perfection". The colors are great, the skill to paint them is evident, but the whole of them together- even broken down by platoon and type- is almost more than the eye can comprehend.

And best of all: the army is done. No remnants on Mount Shame waiting for 'their turn, their time'- all done.

Congrats on getting the army finished! They look amazing all ranked up. Extra kudos for free handing the squad markings too… and you did it in white! Do you have any basing in mind or is it on with the Dark Mech(magos looks aces too)?
