If you believe GW on FB, all the models are. Well, except the Canoness - people got her for free at the NOVA Open.

Have they said that, or have they said you'll never this box again - the army box with dice, cards and limited edition book?

From FB:

All the models inside the box will only be available in that set, but other, multi-part variants will be available in the not-too-distant future.

But it's not unlike GW to later say "due to unforseen popular demand, we will be releasing the limited edition Sisters of Battle in a start collecting box".

Yeah I'm pretty sure they've said similar things about Shadowspear and some of the earlier "EXCLUSIVE X CHARACTER WHO CAN ONLY BE FOUND IN THIS BOXSET!" until it became a theme, no,you will be able to get it standalone six months to a year later.

Like, okay, right now you can literally only buy them in this boxset but they're not explicitly saying they'll never be released again in the future in some form.

Have I read somewhere you can make moulds cheaper using softer materials? If that’s the case it may explain why they’ve done such a limited run if they genuinely aren’t planning to make these models anymore. I might have just made up the bit about softer materials though

My thought is that everything will be released later and that the models minus the Canoness will be released as a start collecting box. So next week might be codex, cards, multi-part figures, and maybe tanks.

You can indeed make cheaper moulds from aluminium rather than steel, I believe this substantially shortens the lifespan but is much cheaper.
However given GW I think cuts there own moulds still then it's all a bit of a moot point since it's the time involved that cost so much when using a 3rd party not the materials.

Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis

Well, aluminium moulds are cheaper than steel moulds and indeed don't have the longevity. That said, you can 'upgrade' them with coatings etc. . But yes, it's possible that they used a 'disposable' mould for this batch.

No, we won't see any Sisters releases outside of this box until the New Year. Pretty sure that has been stated somewhere already.

I expect the sisters forces to be reused later for a.getting started like the shadowspear models. The limiting factor for this box is not the models, but however big the print run was for the codex inside.

In the future events WarCom post I think, rest of the line is revealed in the Jan 4th Warhammer Open day I think.

The spreadsheet of releases up till Christmas (which has proven to be pretty accurate in terms of release content) certainly hasn't got any big Sisters release. Which makes sense since likely Ossiarchs have dominated GW's production system and then fast after that GW has Slaves to Darkness doing the same. With AoS being more the focus of this year than 40K and with AoS honestly in a worse off spot for armies (technically Ossiarchs had nothing whilst Slaves to Darkness are the big enemy that hasn't had anything through the life of AoS); it makes sense that Sisters likely got pushed into early next year (where AoS only has 3 more battletomes to go - each of which can be a minimal release without new models - save for spells and terrain*)

*Which should not be taken that Tzeentch, KO and Seraphon don't have a room/need for new/updated models; just that they are at functional sizes.
Seraphon have a lot of older sculpts and designs in plastic and resin, even in their core troops and such. Some updates there would really bring them up to count even though they already sell really well with their current newer plastic models.

KO players want new models and it is one of the smaller forces in the game at present. Ample space to add some new troops, war engines, leaders and such. Much like Daughters of Khaine, Flesheaters and a few others; they are one of the niche-armies that clearly has space for a decent "second wave" of new models.

Tzeentch - actually Tzeentch is in a really good spot at present. All their plastics are modern and the only finecast they've got is Curseling, Eye of Tzeentch, Fatemaster and The Blue Scribes - ergo hero units. They've also got some nice mortal plastic Tzeentch warriors. So of those three Tzeentch is in the least need of new models.

The full SoB range is coming in February/March 2020 according to the latest (and so far accurate) rumours.
Next PA book (PA3: BA vs Tyr) is early December (same week as Chapter Approved 2019), while PA4 (SW vs Orks) should arrive by the end of January 2020.

That's silly, a SC with no HQ, but a whooping troop plus 4 (and that's if you count the repentia superior as separate)
Is totally breaking the mold.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Not sure why people think the box itself has no value (I just want it for the artwork)

The only Troops choice is sisters so you will be getting additional boxes of those anyway.

Codex $40
Cannoness $35
Battle Sisters $50 (probably $60)
penitent engine $50?
Seraphim $35 (doubt it, but aiming low)
Repentia+mistress $35
Flagellants $25

estimates obviously, but let's be real...we know new GW prices aren't cutting anyone any deals.

That's $270 in a $210 box, and you will still want additional units so you won't feel let down with the monopose.

Plus cards - the dice seem veyr cheap.

Forgot the cards....so basically $285

All those units are ETB tho, with no options. So the prices you use to evaluate the value of the box is kinda flawed imo.

That's where I disagree. 10 Battle Sisters are 10 Battle Sisters. If you don't get these, you will still have to buy a box of 10 that will probably cost you $60. The ones in the box are probably closer to $35 so there is an inherent savings, even if you don't like them. I wouldn't get duplicates but I certainly see this box as an intro with savings attached.

This might be true for the battle sisters. But look at the canoness : in the preview for future sister release we saw that the future canoness model will have many options. With some magnets this makes it way more valuable than the canoness that is in the box. Might be the same for the penitent engine and the Seraphim squad.

I personally think there is a good chance most of this set will come back as a battle force like they did with shadowspear .

Yeah, looks like the US and Canada has everyone's copies.
15min in and still not sold out! Wonder if that'll be the case at the end of the day or if they'll be some reshuffling of stock that sees the US stock levels hit 'sold out' before the full allocation has gone.

It can take just 10 days to get a container from East Coast US to the UK, so this would fit within the double week preorder and let them get copies physically into the shops. Turns out there's more sisters fans in the EU than they thought, and perhaps less in the US.

Have the GW shops been given a preorder allotment and a unpreorderable allotment?

I'm not getting it as there is not enough that I want from it. I'd take the codex, cards, and the Repenta Superior, and nothing else. Not worse the $210 for all those models that will never get used myself when I'm perfectly happy with my current (painted) metal army.

The 2:1 exchange rate probably didn't help either when it's more 1:1.3 GBP to USD.

For the record, I think they went in 30mins. But we'll probably find the US has a much smaller store allocation than the UK.
30 mins seems a reasonable time for something that they said "there's limited stocks, turn up at 10AM to get" assuming you don't have a system crash...

Wasn't there supposed to be only 5 players for SOB in the world At least that number kept popping up on dakkadakka ;-)

Congrats for SOB players for beautiful revamp. Certainly after the wait well deserved.
