They're running another facebook poll today and the spiders are running a close second to the WWI germans and well ahead of the Boxer Chinese and the Napoleonics in terms on anticipation so there does seem to be a decent demand

Why a Facebook poll and not a legitimate poll?

because it's the sort of fun thing you do on facebook?

All of these are kits that are already on the way after all,

(but given matching eventual sales data to the polls on facebook will help them decide how much they can trust them in the future)

Sure, but Facebook isn’t for everyone. Their last poll was hosted on a website; just surprised this one wasn’t.

They do a Facebook poll every Friday. I don’t think these are actually as serious as the one they did on their website.

I take it everyone saw the new email today teasing a robotic or sci fi type insectoid creature? Sorry I can’t seem to get the pics to show up here :(

sci-fi insectoid versus generic spiders sounds interesting.

I mentioned it on the last page along with the spiders seemingly coming in different sizes.

The spider head shown reminded me of the Vespid Helmets.

For those not on Facebook, there were hints about weaponry as well.

Maybe, the humans in Death Fields will not just be fighting each other as that range develops.

I bought some of their hobbit militia recently. Decent models.

I've gotta say I am looking forwards to future releases. Very cool work and such a burgeoning set of ranges.

I can confirm that there will be done sci fi parts for the spiders on sprue.

I can also confirm that the Napoleonics that were teased are Spanish for the peninsular war, based on the 1806 regulations which will be good through 1808-9

Because FB polls are tied to an account and, presumably, people only have one account I'd consider them more reliable than one on a site.

Spiders are a good fantasy staple, especially for the RPG market, look forward to the kit.

More generic stuff like this is great, have always thought it'd be amazing if a company just did a "critters" sprue with loads of different stuff on there, rats, bats, cats etc. etc. etc.

Something like the warlord farm animals sprue, but for fantasy and crammed full of all sorts of different stuff.

GW used to sell "Fantasy Swarms". It was 4 copies of a sprue with a rat, a bat, a snotling and a spider. I think it was originally from Heroquest or Warhammer Quest. Something like that but at full modern sprue size and density would be lovely.

They just did halflings, now they are doing the other side of the classic Hobbit scene. They even have the/an illustration of it on their web page.

Well done .

I'll third this one! Lots of uses for spiders, rats, dogs, cats, bats and whatever else.

That's actually not a bad idea. With all the dungeon and role-playing gaming out there, a "Dungeon Denizens" style box would actually be pretty slick. The prices would be better than even stuff like Bones and Nolzur's, and the market is most likely there.

Vermis, don’t Reaper have a lot of cheap options for giant spiders now? I’ve got a few of them as well as some spider centaurs. I was assuming these would be the size of the Skull Pass plastic spiders...

And those goblins would make some decent gremlins, too. I might be able to combine them with one of the smaller bones large spiders...
Orc heads from Kromlech. Too cartoony fpr my taste, but see what you think. If they work for you it would be easier than cutting tiny bat ears and gluing them to the head of your choice.

As for a DIY dungeon encounter set suggested as earlier, I think it is a good idea, but I'm not sure how much market there is for it. My own RPG experience is that most RPGers are not hobbyists, which is why Heroforge and D&D and Pathfinder prepaints do sell. My old groups had a mix of mini gamers and just RPGer's, and the latter were happy to borrow figures but they did not want to bother buying and painting their own. Now a GM may make an effort, since surprising your group is always useful, but still licensed prepaints are out there, although with randomized packaging it is a pain to get what you need.

Thanks for the link. There are some great bits there, but I didn’t see any that fit exactly what I was looking for.

I'd like to see some scale shots on the Imperial Conquest Afgans. If they are suitably heroic, I would certainly have uses for them.

There are scale shots on the product page. You can have a look here and scroll through the photos that are on the listing.

What sorts of miniatures do you want them paired up against? I don't have any Primaris, so don't ask

Any older GW figure would be fine.

No problem, happy to do it.

I really should paint a normal marine from the last ten years (and a Primaris) for scale shot purposes

That is a great scale shot. Wow the Afghan is skinny, makes for a great conscript.
