From the logo, I was hoping it would be small scale plastics. Considering all the buzz around the Warlord Games 13mm American Civil War plastic strips, it seems like there would be interest in such a thing. And if I'm going to play a game where I have 60 figures in a unit, I'm probably going to be playing in 10mm. I'm still looking forward to seeing them and I hope they do well. More variety in plastic is always a good thing.

I'm holding my breath for a new resistance set. Though the first one was a bit underwhelming on account of the lack of rifles. :(

I'm guessing War of 1812 based on the cut off numbers, the white leggins, and the fact that they're all in a tight marching formation.

Could be interesting. I could also be totally wrong.

I'd imagine in order to fit 60 guys on the sprue there won't be a lot of optional bits or much customization, but if they're marching in formation they wouldn't need to have crazy dynamic poses anyways.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Cut off numbers... Good catch!
After the 1812 it looks like a 15. So... 1812-15. Or 1812 in 15mm?
Best bet would be singlepiece french, they always sell. Though war of 1812 would be a nice change for sure.

The figures are 28mm and multipart according to the image in the teaser.

But you could convert them with rifles from the ww1 german set or otherwise?

That would be march attack, rather then attention.

That’s far too exciting of a term for what those minis are doing. March attack sounds like it should be almost as exhilarating as a kitten curling up for a lap slaughter or a goldfish amped up for the berserker blubblub. Almost.

Is it safe to say these next models include the one Lord Marcus uses for his avatar? I think it was back when the page count was single digits. Folks seemed reasonably excited for those at the time...

EDIT: It was page 17. These guys...

Hi there. People are still excited for the Spanish, myself included. We've had to do some revisions on the set and these are still in development. The teased kit is something different

I'm all in favor of more plastic march attack, especially if it's Napoleonic. When you're fielding 1500 models per side, monopose becomes very useful to save time. Color me excited. My initial assumption would be French (because, well, everyone needs them) but I'd love anything at this point.

March attack is the most popular, realistic and probably best looking pose for that era. You don't want your napoleonics, AWI, ACW etc. jumping around like Dark Eldar Whyches. There's packs of metal figures for that.
For army builders in plastic it's March attack all the way. Glorious!
Keep em coming.

Earlier this year we did a poll for the best matched pair set of plastics and the winner was Conquistadores vs. Aztecs. We're very happy to show off the work that has gone into the Conquistador designs. Our goal is to make a set that works for the Conquest of Mexico as well as filling in your European armies of the early 16th century (or fantasy ones for that matter!)

I don’t disagree. I find the whole era boring.

However, the Perry’s in particular are fond of boring poses for every period they scull it seems. If they ever made gladiators, you can bet the gladiators would be marching or standing.

disagree

the Perry's make usually models for Rank & File games and that models make the least problems

the have their fair share of dymanic models made for skirmish games, it is just that the majority of their models are for R&F Regiments

Lol, too true!

I'm in the same boat, the era of big regiments just isn't for me. The miniatures are too boring to inspire.

No judgement of those who do find it interesting, but it isn't for me.

This is the internet. If you don’t feel judgemental, fake it. More exciting for everyone.

Also, why did autocorrect turn “sculpt” into “scull”?

Woo Hoo! Incoming!

https://wargamesatlantic.com/blogs/news/shipping-updates-grognard-command-and-eisenkern

Projected dates (no guarantees) for Les Grognards heavies and Eisenkern shipments are:

UK - 11 Jan
US - 5 Jan
AUS - Now!

They just have to fight their way through customs and supply chains.

More details in the post but considering the new UK lockdowns, I have prioritised the thirty Les Grognards infantry still needing painting so I can prep for an late Jan/ Early Feb arrival of reinforcements.

Fair enough Bob, though, dare I say - give it some time?
For decades I found rank and file ridiculous, especially napoleonics. Colorful uniforms, no cammo, stiff poses and stupid hats with tall feathers *pfff*
Now suddenly I have thousands of miniatures for napoleonics and ACW, colonials etc.
I came to appreciate the kind of warfare and tactics, enjoy painting all those colours and feel awestruck when I see a big unit in marching order - much more then some single model or a skirmish formation.

That's a cool aspect of WA, they have something for everyone.

Turns out the teaser was for some napoleonic prussians. These are going to torpedo Warlord Games' plastic napoleonic sets, £25 for 60 figures of pretty much the same standard that Warlord do 24 for £20, although admittedly you get some command figures with the Warlord ones.
