I'd love to see the Boxer minis with sci-fi weapons. But, I'm in the UK, so sadly shipping costs for the single sprue options would be prohibitive.

Didn’t Wargames Atlantic ask us what we would think about their releasing ‘generic’ bodies before? As in bodies without heads or legs with a view to kitbashing like the above examples? They are excellent examples by the way!

Sprues for WGA stuff pop up on UK Ebay a fair bit.

While I don't have any on hand to immediately show, Eccentric miniatures make a line of knightly helmets with a neck join that I just instinctively feel will look good with those bodies with minimal fitting-work.
That is quite a dramatic difference! The Mantic Halflings are huge.

Also, given the unfortunate lack of hand weapons in the halfling kit, the Eccentric range might also be a good source for smaller sized, low cost hand weapons
https://www.eccentricminiatures.com/sprues.html
The shields might also work, though I think the eccentric bucklers or the EM4 plastic shields might be a better option.

As far as the UK goes: I don't know how much he reps me but one good turn and all that.
The sprue shop in the UK carries War Games Atlantic just like I do in the states.

If you do not mind white metal parts the assault group's renaissance weapons are pretty useful and they have a great variety. Wargames foundry probably has a good range of equipment as well.
Griping beast is a good source for shields as well if you want them.

Metal weapons/hands would require pinning, no?
I can also 3D print a wide variety of shields.

I generally attach metal weapons/hands/arms/etc with superglue and it works fine. Sometimes I'll open up a plastic hand, and put the weapon right into it. Until 5 years or so ago, most of my non-GW weapon conversions were with metal bits and I almost never pin.
I do recommend a rubberized superglue though to resist breakage. Gorilla Impact Tough or IC2000 or Instaflex from BSI.
Now when possible I use plastic, but there's allot of great metal bits in my collection that I still make use of. Automatically Appended Next Post: As to Halflings though, vi suspect many of the metal ranges would look comically large.
The benefit of the Eccentric stuff is that it's smaller. When your only spending 30 bucks for 40 figs, dropping 2 bucks per 16 bits isn't too bad.

Yeah i just use Bosnik superglue. It works pretty well.
Most weapons are not too big, depending on the weapon themselves. I mean some are comically large for 28mm humans. Also you can cut them down a little as well. But I find that most look pretty good.

This looks suspiciously like a vehicle, or maybe scenery.
I'm not impressed, especially if it is a vehicle. Looks like a mess of surface detail with no clear purpose, but it's not clear what I'm looking at so maybe the actual design makes sense in context.

its alittle annoying, but after the conquistadors got released they have been hyper focused on stuff with guns in terms of teases.
I mean I get it - Imperial Guard conversions are probably their bread and butter, but they have so much promising ancient historical and fantasy stuff on the horizon.

Yeah, I am still waiting to see if that wolf head shown long ago is from a wolves kit or maybe a werewolves kit or even from one that allows you to build both. It is also probable it is none of them but still it would be nice if they gave at least some info instead making you waiting a very long time. Teasing something and no info at the same time for a long period of time could lead to losing a potential customers who could be interested in the particular kit.

Treemen are in sculpting which is the earliest stage of production for an announced kit so probably a good while before we see anything there are a bunch of non SF kits in layout, the stage before mould making and test shots (waring states infantry, late roman army builder, germanic warrior army builder, landsnecht ogres, afghan cavalry) so there should be more to see for them soon keep an eye out here if you didn't know about the page already https://wargamesatlantic.com/pages/release-schedule although they may spring stuff not on the list too as a surprise (or collaboration) as to the wolves? i guess they must be a surprise (or something that got cancelled although i think it less likely as if Hudson wanted whatever they were going to be for he'd send them for resculpting if they didn't work out first time as a whole bunch of kits on the list have been)

Yeah - I'm on the edge of my seat for the scale armor legionaries. Scale armor is my favorite of the ancient armor styles visually, so I've got a couple of conversions I want to make, based on the quality of the test print they showed a while back.

My Bulldogs have arrived! All five boxes of plastic goodness.
For any people out there who are undecided or are yet to dip their toe into the Death Fields pool, please consider that the following photos illustrate perfectly that WA bring nothing to the wargames hobby with their collections of indecently reasonably priced figures and that the multitude of head options included are stifling conversion creativity.
First up, some plain old Bulldogs with pith helmets. I've built these in sections of seven. I'm playing the long game and waiting for a follow up Heavy/ Command box as per Les Grognards before committing to 10 strong squads.
The background blurb on the box indicates some Bulldogs hail from Operation Market Garden. With beret heads in the kit. I've converted these models with the autogun/ SMG from the Death Fields accessory sprue to go for some Royal Marines in Spaaace.
I've used some of the gasmask pith helmet heads to provide crew figures for my Imperial Guard troop transport Ridgehauler.
Frostgrave Men at Arms with Stargrave weapons and the gasmask Tommy helmet heads to turn into Chaos Renegades. Possibly as attendants or serfs for Chaos Knights. I was originally thinking of medieval sallet helmets but opted to go for these instead.
Seeing as I have always wanted my Praetorian IG to have a Sudan campaign inspired grimdark Camel Corps, I've mixed Les Grognards torsos and chainswords with Bulldog heads and Shieldwolf sci fi camels.
The Bulldog box also contains 24 peaked cap heads. Combine with Les Grognards models for Terrax Guard or Commissar Cadets (if you're a Rogue Trader fan)?
All that in one afternoon... Four boxes to play with yet.

Thank you.
The company know what they're doing or, if not, I don't care as long as they keep blundering on.
The Death Fields range of pseudo sci-fi historical are shouting out to 40K Imperial Guard players especially those not tied to GW stores or tournaments.
I need another box of Les Grognards to use the accessory sprue lasguns and gasmask spiked helmet heads with.
