Rumors that old Ghazzy will be getting a model redo.
Any expectations / hopes for it?

My dream model (that is likely just a dream) would be a model that can be built as Ghazzy or as a 'Primeork in Megaarmour boss'.

Ghazzy should be massive given his fluff - as big as Guilliman and bigger than Abby. I'd like it if he were holding a dead *something* in his power klaw hand.

Ideally he'd be multipose but this is unlikely given current kits.

Apart from that I'd just want the same level of detail used in the latest big character sculpts to bring Ghazzy to life. I want veins popping in his arms and shoulders where the muscle is taut, fibres of muscle straining, cracked floor beneath where he is stomping, spittle as he's roaring a challenge - that sort of thing.

But let's be real - the Ghazghkull rumour has circulated once or twice already. At this point as another poster said he is our plastic Thunderhawk. I very much doubt we'll see a new model.

I dunno, Abby getting a redo had circulated for years and years (even decades) and hes now got one.
Wouldnt totally rule out the Ghaz redo.

err why? abaddon looks great and Ghaz being that big makes perfect sense. the guy should be on par with abaddon, calgar and even Gulliman in size

I hope that means we'll get a generic MA Warboss, as it would be possible to run Ghaz as a generic dude. If GW really wanted to they could make a dual kit.

Throw in a plastic Weird Boy and a generic big mek and I'll be happy.

Go in my blog, there is a size comparison between the old terminator Lord, the new terminators and an abbadon kitbash terminator Lord.

And tell me he is "fine"

abaddon's alwasy been described as being partiuclarly big for a space marine, so if he's noticably bigger then other terminators thats actually accurate

keep in mind abaddon's base and pose makes him look a lot bigger. also if "they increase their size" is the biggest issue, not sure why that'd be a problem for Ghaz, Orks get bigger as they become more sucessful etc, Ghaz should be HUGE

They could comfortably make him a Lord of War like Rowboat if they scaled him up enough.

I hope as others he is big and actually has a nice sculpt with an energetic pose. current model is low energy and he looks weak and just trudgign forward imo.

on the rules front I hope like guilliman they give him less than 10 wounds with a ressurection mechanic. my biggest fear of a new model is that GW makes him like a Magnus or a Mortarion without the powers or durability. Knowing GW though this is exactly what i expect. primarch pricing but 20-30% less damage output and 50% the durability.

I just hope that he's bigger. Somewhere between Abaddon and Guilliman.

I need my extra thicc leader of the GREAT WAAAGH! Hopefully with slight rules revisions like what Primarneus Calgar and Abbadon did when they got new model releases. It feels wrong to see Ghazzy have a smaller base number of attacks than both of the guys I mentioned despite being a GOFF of all things.

I would love a big, Guilliman sized Ghaz who is also a lord of War.

He would be as strong in close combat, and would dish out some substantial army boosts.

Auto pass morale within 6"
+1 to charge and advance
All units within 6" can heroically intervene
+1 attack to units within 6" on the charge

Ork shooting is very powerful, and the only balancing factor is their poor BS - I wouldn't have any Ork character grant re rolls to hit - it's not very Orky lol

Auto Pass Morale isn't very Orky either. A morale boost is in order, but not auto-pass. Not even Guilliman + ATSKNF etc do that.

Also his abilities should be - like Guilliman - split between Faction: Orks, and Faction: Goffs. Lesser abilities at 12" for Orks, strong abilities at 6" for Goffs.

Dual kit runs into issue that Ghaz is fluffiwise supposed to be spectaculary huge. Would kind of be weird to have suddenly bunch of generic equally big dudes running around. Imagine generic space marine captain Guilliman sized.
