The Sisters video is interesting. Mistress is in there, and the Repentia suddenly have a lot more stuff stapled to them.

Some nice helmet-less heads, too.

The Seraphim would be a lot better if they weren't impaled on giant pieces of plastic.

Shrike I feel is a cool concept with poor(ish) execution. If he could be modeled with his helmet on and right claw extended with his pistol on his belt, I'm game. I think that would really help him.

See my issue is that he's legs should beefier and more armored to represent him being a chapter master and having artificer armor of some kind. Right now his armor is a bit too plain on the legs.

Everything else is fixable.

That's not really an Aspect Warrior thing. They have their ritualistic set of wargear.

True, but they can expand the wargear and still keep it thematic, even introduce some balance fixes in the process. Various bladed weapons for the banshees. Split dark reapers into single shot anti heavy rockets or multi shot anti infantry mortar things. Power fist options for scorpions. Flamer loadouts for firedragons. Things that have been available on older models or exarchs before.

BTW, I really like Shrike's Lightning claws. Finally, twenty years after the lightning claws stopped being improved power fists in the 3rd edition, the sculpting department has been informed of this.

Weird the bone skeleton warriors on the book cover don't have noses but the actual models do. It's a weird look (design choice),maybe they'd look less goofy if they looked more like skeletons.

I can't help but think that hoping for extra options from modern-day GW is probably beyond futile...

Model itself looks nice. I'm honestly surprised that they're sticking with Aspects, but it's nice to see Banshees finally make the switch to plastic.

Not sold on Shrike. The bone-people however... those are seriously drool-worthy, and I foresee a lot of Necron conversions.

Exactly. The aspects have different schools of fighting and each has it's ritual gear.

Exarchs wouldn't have such a variety of Weapons otherwise - Maughan Ra doesn't even use his aspects signature weapon - because it's not what became the core school of destruction.

What will disappoint me most is if GW did nothing more than copy the old design into plastic and released with nothing else.

They can invent whole new marine units out of nothing but not give some dual kit love to aspects?

Banshee would be cool if they have a single male model, and so is the rest should also have a 50:50 male/female ratio. They won't be remaking this kits for the next 20 years, so might as well make it as diverse as they can.

Still not sure what Psychic Awakening is, but, glad to see Death Guard & Genestealer Cults will be involved.

More (and BIGGER) monsters in Warcry! Mercs too, which is cool. Maybe I'll buy some of those cool DoK to help out my Iron Golems. I'm guessing the two remaining (that we know of) teams will come with a supplement bringing magic to the game. Especially since one them is very 'fire' themed, I"m sure they'll have a fire wizard of some sort.

LotR - no new monsters...

Shrike looking cool. Love the 12" joke. I also would prefer if the helmet could swap out for the normal head.

Finally plastic Aspect warriors! Will probably still continue to use my RT era metal versions, but nice that they are finally doing it.

Really liking the look of the Ossiarch Bonereapers. The troops all have an ancient Japanese/Chinese armor meets Stormcast Eternals Halloween edition vibe to them (along with the heroes). The Necropolis stalkers definitely give off a Indian/Hindu god vibe as well. With their multiple arms, and faces. The Mortek crawler catapult is just AMAZING!!! I wonder if these guys will employ any of the existing Death models? Seems like they'd fit in well with skeletons, Wights, and Morghasts.

No interest in the new sisters, but glad to see they're moving along. I hope to see a lot of folks playing them when they return.

I personally love the skeleton dudes, except I'm just not feeling the helmets. This is easily fixed by the citadel skulls kit. Silly and cartoony? Well yea, what death model isnt? They're more over the top with bones and death and skulls and bats than the meme about space wolves and wolf stuff.

This is also easily fixed with the paint job. GW paints their things as bright and flat as possible because they're selling the model in a storefront and want the buyer to see all the detail of the model clearly.

On the video you can see that not all of them have noses, but for some reason the preview photo has only ones with nose-faces. I do think that the more skull-like faces indeed look better.

The banshee armor is female in shape. Even male banshees wear the same armor.

They haven't got wolves riding wolves yet, so there's still room for more releases.

Do you actually want Banshees to look wildly different from every iteration we've had so far?

I mean, it's an odd thing to criticise, a Banshee looking exactly like a Banshee looks.

I'd also note that excessive detail on a basic infantry unit can be a pain as you typically have to paint a lot of them.

Isn't there a rumor floating around that the next big boxed set is going to be BT vs. Orks?

Not much of a reveal for psychic awakening but there is still room for some rumoured boxsets (Orks vs BTs, fallen vs DAs). Would be easy to make these boxes alongside a relevant campaign book from this new series.

Bone dudes look dumb to me, but I'm not a fan of the AOS aesthetic anyway so definitely a biased viewpoint.

Don't care for a warcry supplement, still haven't played the base game.

Shrike looks fine to me, but can see why others wouldn't like him. However, not a RG player so it's not an issue I need to make.

Sisters look good but too many projects at the moment.

Well that was a disappointing "reveal". They could have at least shown off some new models
*scrolls down and see's plastic Howling Banshee*

But really, holy crap plastic Aspect Warriors? Lots of questions about posing, options and alternate builds, but that is really cool news.

The highlight has got to be the Bonereapers for AoS though. They are just Especially the Necropolis Stalkers and the Mortek Crawler.

I like Shrike, except for the head. I think I'll put a helmet on him, which requires cutting the one off his leg and covering up the hole with a pouch or something.

I am hoping the model will be built in a way that putting the helmet on his head can be accomplished without having to do any actual modifications.

I don't know, that Shrike model looks god-awful to me.

Not technically. Looks like a brilliant piece of model production I just can't stand the aesthetic. Too busy, too emo, not grimdark enough and I hate the pouches. Too much emo-teen not enough warrior monk.

Excited to see what direction they take the story though. Hopefully there are some fun surprises.

yeah I dunno why people are suprised a chapter whose noted for pale white skin, black hair, and a moody Primarch who literally said "nevermore" and then ran off and dissappered is emo looking.

The only way the chapter could get more obviously emo is if they cut themselves

JFC that head on Shrike is awful. I can't believe someone at GW actually approved it for release.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
