Yeah, needed to do better with that one. FW can't even keep the AT resin weapons in stock for more than a few hours at a time.

And -- getting back on topic -- that makes me question whether FW has its priorities straight. Their focus should be on casting the stuff that's actually selling.

I'm wondering if, with the expanded Factory side of the things (not sure if that's actually complete though), the added capacity has allowed them to reconsider how many FW kits need to be Resin?

I love you Doc, but you and the rest of the "AT Boys" need to stop flogging this BS.

GW pumps out Limited Release gak all the time so everyone panic buys. PERIOD.

AT, overall, hasn't seen jack crap in releases other than stickers and MOAR KNIGHTS. It's actually one of the *least* supported games from GW right now.

It will die again, because there's just nothing there. AT fans are so thirsty for stuff, they're practically sacrificing chickens in hopes that AI will be in the same scale so they have something else to add on.

Really? It was one of the games that made the switch from all resin to largely plastic because they suspected it'd be popular. It is and then some. Turn around for plastic production takes time hence the long time between releases. And I quote:

Oh, and another tidbit from the Titanicus seminar. A number of the Transfer sheets, Command Slates and card packs are appearing as either No Longer Available or have disappeared completely from the online store. This isn't because they've stopped doing them, on the contrary. It's because there has been so much demand that they've massively oversold what they were expecting - Andy Hoare gave the comparison of having a projected years worth of stock and having it sell within a month. They're working on getting more in stock ASAP.

Add to that the fact that the Titan Battlegroup was the best selling battle force for 2018! Competing against 40k battleforces including space marines

Hardly a failure.

Titanicus has probably been better supported than ME or maybe even Necromunda.

Everything released so far for AT was in production before the first box hit store shelves. Any product released as a result of GW seeing the much-better-than-expected sales figures will be in 2020.

Nah. 30K ran its course and peaked quite a while back. Lol, right.

Necro has had WAY more stuff come out than AT, as well as Kill Team, Shadespire/Nightvault, etc. AT is slight above Blackstone for releases.

Here comes dem AT Boys..... I didn't say it was failure.....

GW being the Paragon of Truth, would surely tell you they sold a years worth of product (card stock) in one month

Wake me up when the announce something for AT that isn't, 1 or 2 weapons, stickers or cardboard.

Either way, we're going to get yelled at to leave the thread.

It's doing fine in my area, lots of tables that used to be filled with 40K now playing exclusively AT and KT. There was just a release of new knights and a campaign book just a month or two ago.

The 40k campaign just means they are going to ruin the fluff even more.

Warhammer legends sounds like an excus for cutting a bunch of models from the product range.

But then they win me back with plastic aspect warriors and sisters of battle. Didn't see the aspect warriors coming and if they stay true to the original designs like that banshee I'll be buying up a bunch of them.

This is actually pretty interesting when you look at it in terms of models.

In the first 12 months AT has had:
3 titan kits (multiple sprues each)
3 knight kits (single unique sprue each)
2 weapon sprues
3 unique terrain sprues

3 resin weapon upgrades (with several more previewed in May, along with resin terrain)

In the first 12-13 months Necomunda had:
6 plastic gangs (single unique sprue each)
A high number of resin upgrade kits

On top of that AT had 2 expansions compared to 4(I think?) Gang War books, followed by the compilation.

AT has had a significantly higher level of plastic support in it's first year, while Necromunda was propped up more with low-volume resin options & books.

After the issues with the Warlord weapons I'm wondering if the rest of the resin AT products shown in May have been pushed back to allow for more stock build up, rather than instantly sell out again.

I don't play AT, but it's been out for less time than Necromunda, and AT has sold out of it's releases practically instantly, where as Necromunda takes longer.

/shrug, I don't really care, but saying it's hardly supported is pretty silly, and saying a lack of Titan releases when all the Imperial titans have been released is kind of funny...

The AT expansions are also hardback and came in at around 80 and 100 pages.

And yeah, because the 'tweener Titans will be in plastic, it'll probably be 2020 before we start to see them.

People keep saying this like it means something.

Without numbers, statements like this are meaningless.

Saying "we sold a year's worth in a month" means almost nothing if you don't know what "a year's worth" looks like.

While I'm not for a moment asserting these are real nunbers, what if they made 50k Necro starters and 2k Titanicus, and Necro shifted 40k, and Titanicus sold out?

Which has actually been more successful?

Peeps that don't play AT also miss (and I'm gonna sound snobby here, genuine apologies) the finer points of it.

Your Titan Chassis aren't the variety. It's a combination of your Dakka, your Legion, and your Maniple.

A Warlord in Maniple A, armed with weapons 1, 2 and 3, will have different tactical applications to a Warlord in Maniple B, armed with the same weapons.

Some Maniples are protecty. Others fighty. Some Legions combine really well with certain Maniples, and poorly with other.

It's very easily overlooked until you've played or watched play a few times.

Shrike is the best model ever.

Tacticool bolt pistol with silencer. Foot claws mixed with Primaris landing skids. Fetishes and bling. The certainty that we won't see "Assault Primaris with jump packs" soon - or ever - otherwise he'd be in their armour. Huge tactical rock. Facemask under the helmet. That haircut.

I imagine him twisting dramatically in the air, asking himself deep and profound questions like "will the suffering ever end" and "why do this - nevermore" while BLAMing xenos with his silenced miniature rocket launcher...in Japanese. While anime rock music blares. And his support cast of several Seraphim and a few other Raven Guard dudes with unique hair colours posing dramatically in the background.

He is the incarnation of GW out-GW-ing themselves. He takes everything the Primaris took to eleven and pushes it to twelve. At LEAST.
