We still have a few items to give away as part of our stretch goals so keep plugging away at them but once/if we hit$300k, the we will unlock the Wolverine Tank Stretch Goal. „But aren’t stretch goals normally free?” I hear you say? Yes, at $300k, the High Commander has deemed your platoon worthy of receiving additional fire support in the form of a Wolverine Carrier tank which will be included for FREE in every pledge of $49+. This isn’t some 6mm sized miniature tank. This is a full sized, in your face, weapons locked and loaded, transporter of doom at 32mm scale.

well that's a major stretch goal ($214K now, target $300K in 44 hours)

Edit: It's limited to one per pledge and does not apply to any additional stretch goal packages purchased. (so no planning to get dozens without separate mailing addresses & lots of shipping fees)

I saw the On Table Top guys building a mahoosive table of the cathedral stuff.

I'd backed the Dungeons and Lasers stuff after that. Really liking the alien stuff in there, and all the little animals that come with it. KS updates suggest they've had a bit of a rethink re: sizes to allow some of the more common larger models to fit better in them. Think they'd designed around 32mm being the largest and they say feedback suggested somewhere up from that, maybe 40mm as a base.

Was contemplating ordering when I saw the cathedral set up for sale on their store, but thankfully this has come around before I bit the bullet on that. The cobalt stuff looks good. The mayan/lizardmen temple theme is nice, but I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of it, so probably go for one of each of the others. Definitely going for an extra set of stairs and KS1 goals as well. The tank is pretty nice too.

Take a look at what I've been painting and modelling: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/725222.page

I'll make it a bit easier to not pledge.Remember Prodos?

Prodos was the company that ran the disasterous AVP kickstarter - they copyright claimied there own kickstarter to hide the comments section, they didnt deliver goods, they didnt make some items unlocked in the kickstarter at all, and they refused refunds.

Whilst all this was cracking off they launched the 'Space Crusade' line of figures - capitalising on GWs lapsed copyright, to release arguably the most bizarre range of miniatures ever - heavily armoured big breasted women, wearing nothing on there torsos because.. ya know.. breasts. These were advertised with digital paint jobs as well which Prodos claimed definately were hand painted... definitely...

They've since lost the Warzone Resurrection license, and then the AVP license, they've stopped selling anything - if you go to the website you can still see plenty of items (bases, templates, space crusade - things which should be in stock) are just not available. Which seems... unusual.

Now whenever you ask Archon about Prodos, they insist that there an entirely separate company... which shares the same address... and telephone number.. and directors... its hard to find much about the back end of Archon but with a little digging its clear its the same people.

Archon reminds me a lot of Defiance games - lots of people saying its great, theyve had there stuff, alls well etc. until its not, and then a new company suddenly pops up, people rush to there defence, and the cycle starts anew. Now I'm not saying those people are as bad as Tony Reidy, but... they've never apologised or admitted fault. They've just brushed it all under the rug it seems.

As for On Table Top supporting them - those were the same chaps that promoted the Defiance Games kickstarter. Now they never declared whether they received money or not for that article (which if they did, they need to as there based in the UK), but they didnt do a follow up piece when everything went to pot either, or make any amendments regarding the company sort of but not really changing hands - so as a news and information source there about as good as Alex Jones.

What Gomez says is entirely fair. I backed Rampart 1 with a trembling hand myself, but I think they really cleaned up their act now. Their goal is to get manufacturer contracts for bigger companies, they can't screw around anymore.

Yup they are Prodos,

but they have delivered reasonably well on all the projects they've run under the Archon banner

(ie post AvP which was a disaster no doubt about it)

and they can design, tool and product plastic sprues (and sprues of this type too as the previous Rampart project showed)

but as with all things KS it's a gamble, do your research, check the comments of previous projects and don't pledge money you cant afford to (grudgingly) loose

Like others have said, do your research and pledge responsibly if you feel uncomfortable backing.

At least they seem to have their eyes on the long game this time with the idea of getting this to retail.

Outside of their resin Empire of Men line, most all of their products have entered traditional gaming distribution channels.

I'd imagine these sets will be no different and probably will be available at various online retailers in a reasonable amount of time.

As I've mentioned, I've pledged for all their non- licensed campaigns and have had everything show up with no real hitches, and when there were issues, they resolved them for me.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Here's some of the info compiled about Prodos / Archon on BGG. :
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1908423/prodos-archon-companies-house
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1581232/what-prodos

The creators of the first LOAD KS originally refused to identify themselves, citing a NDA. However, after tying them to the Demigods Evolution KS (do your due diligence), they were somehow able to lift this NDA and revealed themselves to be Archon. Some sleuthing later found Archon to be a company with the same everything, except liabilities (eg. AvP) as Prodos. Same Jarek, same directors, different relatives of Jarek owning the company, though. After five years, Prodos *did* send out a letter explaining how AvP backers could finally get their stuff (and/or credit), so I think that's as reasonable as you can get with a KS. And their customer service seems, while mixed, improved.

Given Prodos and its use of "Space Crusade", I also noticed Prodos's animal companions SG with their recent KS. Another creator ran two dressed-up animal companion KS earlier, and it was obvious that Prodos was using their idea. My background is boardgames, so this rubbed me the wrong way. You don't just lift someone else's boardgame idea and mechanics from another designer. OTOH, I think it's more common and accepted with miniatures, including with roleplaying game miniatures (eg. WizKids and Reaper's unpainted plastic lines).

I did pick up their LOAD game for $30 during the holidays. Man, those mini's are sweet, even if the theme was lifted from DoA (or LoL), and the gameplay's no good.

Anyway, Rampart has a $50 pledge level. My risk level is $70 or lower and I was greedy enough to fork $150 to Cryptozoic for their Walking Dead game. With Prodos making amends (AFAIK) to AvP, and that tank, I'm looking closely.

I pledged for Warzone rather heavily, and got everything. Even bought a bunch of their non-KS stuff as the years passed. Pledged for LOAD...as stated the minis are awesome and the gameplay is awful. I avoided AvP and Space Crusade, but got a single set of Kazumi parts during Rampart I...great stuff.

So I am backing Rampart 2 for more Kazumi...but that tank is truly icing on the cake. While Starcide may not be for me, those snakemen miniatures are HUGE.

I'm becoming a regular backer of kickstarters but I must admit I don't do my research. It's interesting to know that this was Prodos games, because several members of my gaming club weren't too pleased with their earlier antics, and not too long ago I managed to pick up masses of Warzone miniatures for next to nothing at a gaming show.
With that knowledge I know they make beautiful models, but weren't very good with organisation.
I backed Rampart at $150 pledge level so fingers crossed they have upped their game, and by the sounds of the other comments here they may well have.

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples

The space snakemen are amazing. I just wish they didn't have sci-fi details molded on, would be great for Kroxigor-equivalents otherwise.

I was quite tempted when I saw the Aztec looking terrain since it would fit my regiment quite nicely. But still a bit reluctant if I would really have a need for it. Now that the tank is also almost unlocked I pledged the starter set. If we are lucky and the wolverine gets shipped too, that alone might be worth 20-30 $

But I appreciate the recommendations here to do some research and don't pledge money one would be more than a bit frustrated to loose.

If you glue a bolter on somewhere it could be a Gryphonne pattern Chimera with Autocannon or a Salamander Scout tank. If it gets shipped, the latter is what I will use it for.

I can't decide if I'll use it as an Ork tank, something for Genestealer Cult, or a low-end Chimera substitute from an agriworld.

I think the intention is to use it as an excuse to back Starcide in 2020. After all, you're already gonna have a unit of space snakes, a unit of space vampires and a big human tank. You could go for any faction at this point!

I'll probably use mine (and several more no doubt) in my "counts as" Krieg army.

I have about 200 Dust Germans I bought from MM for cheap and made them into squads, all I need now is cheap tanks, cheap artillery and time to paint them all khaki and beige.

But in all fainess to FW, I have two squads of Death Riders.

Well they hit the target and got the tank (limit 1 per pledge free, but you will be able to add extra in the PM), and also got the final priestess stretch goal too

So what’s next?

Hello everyone, my name is Michal Hartlinski and I’m the Project Manager for Rampart 2.0

Well Bob has decided to retire for a while and I’ll be taking over the show. We’ve quite some work ahead of us considering the new theme, stretch goals and the add-ons.

For those not familiar with the KS payment process :

Kickstarter will be charging your account, and after two weeks they will transfer those funds to us with backers' information. At this point, we will import that data into the Pledge manager. The pledge manager will be opened in January and if you select any legacy products and opt for Rapid Delivery (January 2020) we will process this and begin shipping to you in January

If you are not interested in Rapid delivery, you will have until March to close your pledge manager.

Shipping process

The items are going to be shipped from our factory in Poland. As we have no other shipping obligations in January/Feb, we are going to focus 100% on this KS shipping. Our current shipping capacity is 150 parcels a day, approx. 750 parcels a week.

I would like to remind everyone that all the stretch goals from this campaign, the Cobalt Factory and the Wolverine tank will begin shipping in June.

Survey

We will be sending about a survey to all backers. We’d ask you to fill this in as it provides us with useful information on what you expect from KS and will also allow us to get a head start on production so we can get your pledge to you that much faster. Not to mention those who fill the Survey with their KS mail will get extra miniature. Click here if you want to complete survey NOW.

Late Pledges

If you are late to party or you got a friend who is into terrain and Kickstarter bonuses, we invite to Late Pledge here. Bear in mind that Late Pledge and Pledge Manager are two different things.

Pledge Manager

The next big email from us will be announcing the opening of the Pledge Manager. This will give you the option of adding further funds to your pledge, choosing your themes and add-ons and selecting if you would like Rapid Delivery.

StarCide Development

For those of you interested in StarCide development, drop by our Facebook group!

https://www.facebook.com/starcidethewargame

What's next?

Our next project is going to be a Board Game. Say Guten Tag to Wolfenstein: The Board Game! Coming in Q1 2020 on Kickstarter:

https://wolfensteintheboardgame.com/

So if you are a backer make sure you fill in the survey so you get the extra mini

now just got to wait for the stretch goal stuff and tank

and given the weight of the box they weren't making anything on the shipping

Got my 2 Cathedral sets on Wednesday. Looks nice. I got a set of the Legacy Stretch Goals and they're not bad. I really like the techno-jesus statue. Should go good with my Sisters Of Battle. I really like some of the Aztec-y bits too. Not enough that I'm regretting skipping that style. Got a Cobalt, and all the extras coming in the far future at some point.

I've also backed their Dungeons and Lasers project, and they just launched the pledge manager for that, but have been changing the dimensions and fitting of the walls so I'd think that might still be a little ways off.

UPDATE #16
Update 22nd of May

May 22, 2020

https://v.kickstarter.com/1590331443_ec945c94ae34150aefbac52448e34dd643495054/assets/029/182/125/b11d82bd7242583bda4e78dd83ecbdcd_h264_high.mp4
Hello backers, as promised in the previous update, we now have 1st Cobalt tools in production. It's a short video but for those that don't have time watching it here is the written update:

We are on schedule with tooling CNC, but behind the injection manufacturing, however, the delay will be corrected with an additional manufacturing shift, starting next week.

On track with Tooling, action to be taken for injection.

If you have not done it, please fill in and close your pledge manager by the 26th of June. The status of your pledge manager should say: Placed and Paid. Failure to close your pledge at this time will result in pledges shipping without your pledge being included, which will, in turn, mean a higher cost to ship your pledge separately.
More information about pledge manager you will find in the update number 12 here is the direct link to it: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/archonstudio/rampart-stylish-and-modular-terrain/posts/2713374

and the direct link to pledge manager: https://gamefound.com/projects/archon-studio/rampart---stylish-and-modular-terrain#/project-overview

Thanks, J!

Note: you can cobalt stuff to you PM (or jump in?) with shipping in July along with the rest of the KS backers
