I wont get paid before saturday and thought it would be permanently back in store like the other release so I am out of cash for this one.

But I remembered that I had a lot of primaris marines new on sprue so hopefully I will get enough sold before saturday so I can get the Ambush at Amon Hen, Cirdan, Galadriel, orc captains, the twins and the witchking.

So the stuff from yesterday is back for good but next sats stuff isn't? That seems weird. Probably try for Amon hen and the captain's.

Damn, seeing all these amazing old minis sure brings back memories. The Amon Hen set, Elladan and Elrohir... Might just bite to have some of those, as back in the day when I played Lotr myself, there was no shop that stocked them apart from that weekly magazine, so I missed out on a lot of these lovelies.

Last time lotr releases didn’t sell fast. Took about 2-3 weeks for everything to sell out. It’s sure not like BL books that are gone in 10 mins.

Yes, but it was hours rather than minutes for a good few figures, not weeks. Of course, we have no way of knowing if the quantities produced in either release are equal or even remotely similar. Maybe there are more now, maybe fewer, and maybe the numbers are highly variable within the release wave too.

Giving GW the benefit of the doubt with covid production issues, but I'm getting really fed up with the constant limited quantities and fear of missing out messages. Some of these may just be alternate poses and I'm fine with those not being permanently available, but figures like Círdan should just be part of the standard range, period.

Last MtO, Theoden was sold out inside of about 5 minutes in Aus.

Yeah. I'll be waiting on the minute to try and get Amon hen. I'm not going to be too upset if I don't get it though. I don't really need any new lotr stuff and I would mainly be using it for a death of boromir diorama. Saying that the uruk hai carrying merry and pippin would make nice interest pieces for my isengard force...

Some very nice stuff in this batch, hope it all comes back more permanently in future, particularly stuff like Cirdan.

If anyone's interested, it appears as though some of the UK pre-orders have come back in stock. But you have to click into the actual item page, as the pre-order page still shows everything out of stock.

I've been doing some math. What do we think of these price estimations for the upcoming MtO Super-limited-get'em-while-they're-hot.
I've tried to base them off previous MtOs that I can remember/bought.

Witch-king/Arwen - $40
Galadriel/Cirdan - $30
Trolls - $50-70
Murin & Drar/Frodo & Sam - ~$30
Elladan & Elrohir/Orc Captains - ~$40
Amon-hen - $90

=$470AUD

All those prices are in Australian Dollars. So convert that to your own currency as you will.

Well if I take similar direct comparisons, then it would appear I was a bit short. As it comes out closer to $500AUD

Well everything is by and large, priced in line with other models from the range. Although the Amon Hen kit is little bit over-priced I think. Considering this has 10 models and is roughly $125AUD which is the same price as the MtO orcs with had 14 models.

Worse news is　how article refers to last week　as　part of cyclical releases suggesting it could be some time　before they come back.

It’s worth mentioning, though, that they’re certainly not gone for good – they will return in the future as part of our cyclical releases for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game.

But at least they aren't gone for　good and tomorrow isn't mad panic rush to avoid missing out like　last week

Last weeks releases seem to be a bit unclear as this new article does say they are part of the cyclical releases so could be some time before they come back but GW have confirmed on the Facebook page that they are a permanent edition to the range several times and most briefly came back into stock last night.

Amazing! Lotr models for everyone! I read that as this week's are a limited edition week long made to order, whereas last week's stuff is
a permanent addition

Gw seems to have miswrote article. Stealth　update so last week back when in stock

Yeah, whoever wrote the article seems to have mixed up the two weeks.

Last week's additions are permanent additions to the range, until they're eventually cycled back out once more things are added and use up their available space.

Tomorrow's sculpts were going to be splash releases of limited stock that would eventually return again somewhere down the line, but are now MtO.

Very good news all around. I love those cave troll sculpts, and I would have felt a bit bad for swooping in early and picking up a couple each if it meant other people wouldn't get them.

Well that is splendid news. And somewhat of a relief. I would have hated to have missed out on the Witch-king or Orc Captains, like I did with Theoden on the last Grab-'em-while-you-can.

And now don't have to sit there smashing the f5 key every few seconds waiting for them to drop.

I'm really pleased this is going to be a made to order run and will probably get more than I strictly need just to encourage it

Just ordered everything but the trolls and Murin & Drar.

Also turns out I was closer in my first price estimation then I thought. Only $471AUD for everything. And while I still think Amon-hen was a bit overpriced at, $12 a model is fairly palatable.

Witch king, cirdan, orc captains, elrond's son's and frodo&sam for me.

Ummed and aahed over the WK, but I already have the one with crown painted, and £15 was a bit steep

Went for Murin and Drar, orc captains, Cirdan and Galadriel

I got Amon hen and the Orc captains. I had a cave troll in my basket but I removed it because they are easy enough to find second hand for a lower price, and being metal are easy to strip and rejuvenate.
