There's an old Dathwatch Blsvk Library story where a kill team goes into an Ork vessel to retrieve the head of a super intelligent Ork for an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor. At the end you find it's still alive even detached.

The recent Farsight book also has an Ork head in a jar that is still alive. Though the Ork in question is totally insane, but that's I think because of the isolation the Ork head experienced before being in a jar than because it has been stored in jar.

Ghaz looks incredible. Great sense of scale. Intimidating. Huge. Over the top. All classic Ork traits. Love the base even. Everything about him looks mean and deadly. Even his clawed feet. Gork's klaw is as big as Ragnar. Damn.

Ragnar looks good for a marine, dynamic and probably the best marine face I've seen for a long time.

Ghaz is... overdone. All of his things are comically oversized, but each one individually, not all together, if that makes sense, so that all sense of scale and proportion is lost. He's not a BIG model - he's a model with a BIG left arm and a BIG right arm and BIG feet and a BIG back.

And he seems to be pretty short. I'm really disappointed.

Eh? What Ghazzy you looking at? This chonky boi looks huge to me. A few heads taller than Ragnar without his armour. Without Ragnar's leg up rubble the difference would be comedic.

A few heads taller than ragnar puts him at around 3,1-3,2m tall. That is only a tiny bit larger than your average warboss.

Arguing that Ghaz isn’t significantly bigger than Ragnar seems... fairly futile?

Both cracking miniatures, btw.

I have to say that Ragnar remake is the first primaris Marine redo that I have liked. He looks like one of the traditional sculpts redone and updated like he should without being crazy over the top. As other have said, I would have preferred it without the scenery underneath, but I think cutting it off and redoing it with some wreckage instead like a wing off a storm wolf or something similar like he is vaulting through a vehicle wreck would be much better pose.

Rules previews come in the week leading up to the preorder day.

Rules previews do, but what rules are being previewed seem to have leaked a lot earlier than that usually.
That we know so little about the book out in two weeks, and don't even know the titles for all of the next three seems new.

Omnissiah knows what to make of that last story.

Where are people seeing the size being remotely similar ….

If it wasn't for Ragnars nonchalantly ballerina like skippity skop offa the terrain junk he'd look TINY compared to Ghaz. Ghaz is a thick boi though... He's also tilted down..

I think the pose and sculpt was made to squeeze out as much height as they could just to make him not look comedic next to ghaz which is a real shame because it feels to me to be forced as feth. The more I look at Ragnar the more im disliking the model pose. If I was buying him id convert him off that stupid rubble junk. Its a shame and I feel bad for the designers because I would bet my left testicle that decion was forced on them top down which is a real shame.

Ghaz just looks mint as hell. 10/10 for me.
