I like the hex scheme, looks like something quickly stenciled and sprayed on in a workshop before heading out.
Some nice vehicles. Hover tank is really cool, looks reasonably realistic, I think it quite fits the helmets and gear of your troops, and that wheeled APC is just plain neat. It has the look of a work horse. Might be a few decades older than the hover tank, but it's still an armoured box that can deliver it's passengers in reasonable safety to where they need to be. Nice work Cpt Jake

Thanks. I've been looking for a 'realistic' grav tank for ages, and fell in love with the APC model. It just says 'I'm a workhorse'.

I definitely had fun with these, and can't wait to get them on the table!

I'm currently working on an Octoblade, or more precisely a Decablade as I'm constructing two additional variants. Here is some work in progress:

"Laserblade":
basically just your standard Baneblade with a pure laser armament. Because Lasers are cool and it makes a lot of sense for my regiment to stick to one source of ammunition or in this case energy. Getting rid of the Ammo-Storage in the Baneblade for an additional generator/Capacitator array to power all the lasers. The coaxial lascannon is from the Valkyrie kit, the main Lascannon as well as the Twin Multilasers in the fron turret and the heavy lascutter in the Demolisher Cannon are 3D prints. The Main laser and the search light have LEDs. And of course I have twin multilasers for the Sponsons, that I'll add later

"Missileblade"
basically 1.5 superstructures glued together with a custom made 3D printed roof housing lots of vertical launch cells. The smaller ones containing 4x Hunter Killer missiles, the bigger ones either 4x Skyspear AA or one big Manticore Missile each. Some pieces didn't fit together the way I thought they would, so I had to cut, file down and milliput a lot of stuff, but overall the endresult looks interesting.

I'll keep you posted when it is finished...

Fantastic work on those baneblade variants. I like the idea of having a very big cutting laser in the hull, and I like the multi lasers on the hull turret. And that missile barge baneblade is a beast. It's a whole lot of missiles!

Just a quick little project: An additional turret for my IFVs.
The Sebecus Mk2*.
Not a true replacement for the Sebecus Mk2 the Mk2* is equipped with a larger 2 man turret, allowing for the addition of more vox equipment a more sohisticated ATGM and a pintle mounted machinegun for the vehicle commander, the Mk2* is more often used in the Regimental Reconnaissance Platoon or as a platoon or company command vehicle, as the commander can focus on commanding and operating the vox equipment whilst the gunner/loader can still keep watch or operate the vehicle's weapons.
The turret is a 3d model of a Vickers light tank Mk VIB printed to fit with the Ammit and fitted to magnetise the weapons of the Ammit.

I like that turret. There is something about those rivetted british tank hulls and turrets that is really WH40k-esque

Cheers, I have been considering using the the vickers light tank turrets on chimeras before, but I much prefer the ammit chassis.

more additions:

First a modified Taurox truck. I technically like the model also with the roof, but I wanted something... different and also didn't want to waste the details inside. So I build it open topped and without the backplate, so that my guys can quickly jump in and out. This way I find it looks a lot more like a simple transport truck than like a special forces vehicle. I also played around with a paint scheme from the excellent 3rd edition Catachan Codex to test it for my Baneblade project. I grew very fond of it. It's a mix of Vallejo Dark green and Citadel Zamesi Desert with Abadan Black stripes in between.

Also the finished Medevac Chimera whose building process I posted a while ago:

For its name on the side I used an Online translator to try and write "Schweizer" in N'Ko Skript from Guinea. It's meant as a respectful nod to Albert Schweitzer (forgot the second "t" while translating, but whatever), a french-german philosopher, theologist, organ musician and pacifist who is most famous for later studying medicine to open up a hospital in rural Gabun together with his wife Helene to fight against curable diseases in that region. Pretty amazing person. I read a book he wrote about his time in Africa and am currently reading a collection of his sermons which are also pretty good, if you are interested in christian theology.

I think you really nailed that Catachan scheme!
I like the open backed Taurox, and the ambulance is fantastic.
I can also imagine the Taurox carrying pallets of supplies, perhaps loaded up by Sentinel power lifter, and then dropped off the back at the front.

Nicely detailed ambulance interior, and as usual, a colourful and suitable name. This one is nicely fitting!

Finished a Command Chimera I have been working on for far too long.
Similarly to the Samaritan above, I did this Chimera Setup with the Valkyrie-door roof. I spiced it up with a radio-dish I had lying around and a part from the Manticore-set I didn't need because I build that as a Deathstrike in the middle of the roof. The extra side armour as well as the turret are from Blood and Skulls industry. I wanted the command vehicle to look like it got some special upgrades. The decals on the sides are a combination of the black panther I recently got for my jungle force and some laurels-in fist I had on a tank-decal sheet from GW.

Here a closer look at the turret loadouts that came with the Blood and Skulls kit:

And just like with the Samaritan some interior. Most parts are from GW (all the computers), the rifle is from Victoria Miniatures Rough Rider line, the table with the map-hologramm from Deadly Print studios and I used some monitor-decals and GSW fluo paint to make it look cooler. It deserves a commander sitting or standing inside, but I haven't decided on one yet. Maybe I'll get the House Gryme Attaché from Necromunda, he looks pretty cool. But for now it is finished.

Many inspiring vehicles and projects!
Nice work on the Command Chimera Pyroalchi! Especially liking the heat effect on the barrels and the interior. Dedication!

Decided to add my two cents to the pile as well.

First some of my older works inspired by the "Iron Harvest" video game and Jakub Rozalski's artworks. Built between 2021 and 2022.
First one is an Armoured Sentinel built to represent the "Smialy" walker with a 40k twist. Built out of a killa kan.

Spoiler:

From left to right: MK Ausf. F "Gertie"

Building it was rather fun, so I made three (with one varying design):
Spoiler:

From left to right: MK Ausf. F "Gertie", MK Ausf. E "Kristin" and MK Ausf. F "Birgit"

I always liked the "Straznik" design with the two twin-barreled guns. This one was built out of the Dunecrawler, foamcore and plasticard.
Spoiler:

SW Ausf. A "Amelia"

And a more recent work, finish a couple of weeks ago: The Adepta Sororitas Immolator.
For some reason, I've always enjoyed white or light colored vehicles. Maybe because weathering them is a lot of fun!

Hey Ezki,

great work. A whole while back I did a similar sentinel, after being inspired by the exact pics you posted here from the Dakka Galery. I meanwhile sold it, but it was a very fun idea. So thanks for that.

I'm very glad to hear they were inspiring!

I posted them in Reddit back when they were done with links to the build log. Tried to track the process after getting so many inquiries how they were built!

@Ezki: A fantastic conversion, I remember seeing them a while back. Very cool. And that is a damn nicely painted immolator. I think SoB vehicles really look good painted white full stop, but your weathering makes it look even better.

@Pyro: That remote turret looks great on the Command Chimera Pyro, I was not sure if you were going to arm it up to the full level of a chimera, but that turret is a good solution. A cool project and as ever the UV glowing paint is a great addition to the interior.

totally missed that immolator. Looks really cool. How do you do that white? Looks like some greyish base color slowly worked up to white?

Thank you OldMate and Pyroalchi!

Pyroalchi wrote:totally missed that immolator. Looks really cool. How do you do that white? Looks like some greyish base color slowly worked up to white?

The base color was indeed a bluish grey tone applied with an airbrush. For the lighter areas I sprayed some off white (corax white?), which was lastly covered with apotechary white contrast paint.
The final step was a bit of a mistake in hindsight, so I would leave that off if the intention is to use oil washes to get some weathering.

I did recently paint a Castigator using a bit of a different approach. I started painting it the same way as the Immolator, but ended up going more towards the scale modelling style.
Lots of oil washes, streaking and chipping!

This was created as a display piece, but might eventually see a game or two!

Got some new projects cooking:
So a heavy armoured car based on Mortian's 4x4 Perax Armoured car. The turret is from Victoria miniatures, and it is scaled up substancially.
The idea is that it is a heavy armoured car, simlilar to a British AEC or German Puma from WW2; something that can give the screening forces some real punch and a decent amount of armour. Decent amount of armour, a battle cannon and a heavy bolter or las-cannon in the hull.
Spoiler:

And a 'new' Sentinel.
I initially did not like this thing, but have re-assesed. I do not like it as an armoured sentinel. I like the old kit for that role, as this machine is needlessly larger for the same armament, and the vision slits with armour crys are not as good as the hinging shutters in the old armoured sentinels for providing vision (important for a recon vehicle) so...I considered that this thing has a more articulated chainsaw, and essentially 2 armament points. Not being someone to turn down an opportunity to do a conversion and some magnetisation I have done some additional araments.
Firstly I did not like the new weapons as much as the old ones, and I did not see any reason to have a different pattern of weapon on the new sentinel platform. So I got some of the old sentinel weapons printed for it, and I mirrored some, for moar dakka.
All this to say, I looked at it, thought it looked like a dreadnought, and made it essentially into an Imperial Guard dreadnought. A Dreadtinel. or Sentinought I guess. And therefore I got an old sentinel chansaw out of the bits box, and combined it with the new one, to make a more articulated assault arm.

Victoria turret works well on the armored car. I was a bit sceptic at First if the turret would be too round, but it looks nice.

The Sentinaught is also a great idea. I don't love the new kit either, but your variant looks cool. Especially the version with double heavy bolter. But it will blow through those ammo boxer like nothing... have you considered ammo-belts?

Victory was never in doubt. Nah, I had used the VIctoria miniatures churchill turrets on my Mortian tanks before, and they looked alright. Wouldn't be any weirder than the cast turret of a grant tank or sherman on their welded angular chassis right?... right?
I mean I naturally was hoping it would not look silly.

I was considering it with the sentinaught, but I reckon the way to do it is to turn the box shaped missile launcher from the old kit (which I despise as a missile launcher, but love as a gun pod) into a gun pod(a conversion I totally just stole from Anvil Industry(great guys, and should have given them credit for originally https://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/conversion-corner-sentinel-dioramas ) Mine is cannonically 12.7mm with three heavy machineguns to a pod instead of 7.92mm with four of THE EMPEROR's buzsaws ) and put a bolter in there. But I figure you'd do the same for the auto-cannon too. as that has like 10 rounds tops. I kinda am currently happy to suspend my disbelief when it comes to the heavy bolter ammo situation.
