That looks great and what some awesome looking terrain! Very nice job.

That terrain really is gorgeous. My wife and I are still slumming it with Dropzone Commander terrain which isn't even the right scale. LOL

Well, this week I contacted a KS that got C&Ded by GW (wich I backed and paid for) and the creator kindly resent me the files. Specifically, Epic scale space bugs. So... obviously I got to print some ^^



They're kinda old school and thick, which I love for this scale:


The bio titans are small-ish compared with current AT Imperial ones... but they weren't really big to start with, and a big dog will still feth you up in close combat ^^

Haven't played for some time, but the models are still some of my favourites:

Those look fantastic, brumbaer! Yeah, both the minis and the scale are fantastic to look at, and to play with, IMHO.

I did a paint test today, with contrasts and regular highlights:

Couple more tests, this time using Vallejo Xpress paints as a base:

The zoanthrope looks really cool, but the "purple" is way too pink, it kinda blends with the flesh:





This I think looks pretty great, and it's actually just a xpress coat and highlights:

Those nids look great, it's better to be a bit chonky at this scale. I want me some down the line too

Did a bigger bug(ger) today, almost everything is xpress paints or drybrush:

Hahah, yes, all done by myself but the sculpting, and thank you, that's high praise.

The nids were done on a Saturn 2 with Jayo ABS-like resin at 50 microns per layer, and I'm actually pretty happy with the results, because it's sharp enough that I don't feel the need bothering with smaller layer thickness.

And they are a delight to paint, a couple contrasts and drybrushes bring out all that sweet detail.

Is there no base printed with smaller layer-height or even better one milled instead of printed available ?

Yeah, the bases are basically "that'll do" xD. I changed the nozzle of the fdm printer for a 0.8mm one instead of the regular 0.4mm (because that's so, so much faster for other projects) and it makes it more noticeable.

But in person you mostly don't notice when you have them on hand, and it's impossible to notice at tabletop ranges, so I'm not too bothered by it.

No they are angels of porphyr. But plenty of chapters have that color combination.

So I bought a Leviathan Psychophage because I thought it would probably look cool as a big biotitan.

And honestly, I think it looks pretty cool side by side with Ankylo's designs



Size wise I think I can use this guy as a hierophant and Ankylo's as hierodules:



I inly needed to make a couple of changes to the mini: the skulls being digested under the skin and the marine arm being grabbed by the mouth's tentacle thingies needed to go. The skulls only needed a bit of scraping, and as for the arm, well... a swap was in order:



After that, the only thing needed to do was spruce the base up a bit to sell the scale:





Still only in early painting stages, though. Hopefully I'll be able to paint it completely during this month.

I'd say thank you, but whatever it is you saw I don't think it was me! I've only been painting LotR minis since the new year started (I have over 2000 middle earth minis to paint right now! ) , so I've not done anything here in a while! haha

Ahh sorry.. Yes I think it was Albertorius twice! Comes from trying to view this forum on a phone, will do for your eyes more than trying to paint some Epic minis!
