Demon heads/tails look pretty decent on the trooper bodies. Very Devaronian

They’re certainly better that way round.
Makes them just look like another alien race really.

I was surprised about the Gnolls. I hated the fantasy version, but liked the sci-fi version. I don't know why, but I do.

I think of the Snakemen as Sleestaks-- humanoids that evolved from dinosaurs.

I’d imagine a slow creep to £60k to the weekend. Then the push for £80k will be the final week/48 hours.

I kind of like the snake men because I can imagine them fighting cartoon barbarians.

So I’m currently looking at about 75-80 sci-fi stargrave ish models once these ones arrive.

Might as well go in hard..

Very carefully, with long-handled tongs.
{But 80k unlock is the Cultist frame, not a metal Flamethrower.}

Seriously, I'm good. Sure more free stuff is good, but we got the original ten SGs, and the Magmamite is icing. Looking forward to building these. [Also, I have ordered the ACP animal heads for my "Starship of Dr. Moreau". The bits are metal, so a slight inconvenience, but I could not find resin or plastic animal heads on Shapeways.]

I think he means that the stretch after, which could be a flame thrower, would be even further away, and if we can’t hit 80k we won’t hit 100k etc.

Crew sprue

I am still not exactly sure what the main difference between the "Crew" and the "Mercenaries" is supposed to be, other than the mercs having a couple more animalistic heads.

When the page was first loading and I saw the sprue I thought we were getting something new shown and got excited.

The slowing to a crawl was expected, but is a bit sad.
Getting close to adding my cash in, not gonna be a crazy difference. But hopefully there’s lots more like me who’ll pay in next week.

Yeah with Troopers and Crew I'm not sure Mercenaries has enough difference to justify making it (vice, say female crew). It looks like they're both mismatched civilian clothes but Mercenaries have more guns, crew has a bit more wrenches and computers and such.

Personally I'd have given Mercenaries more hand to hand stuff and Troopers more stand off weapons but it's all good. More plastic is always good.

It seems that the Mercs torsos have more armor. Not as much as the Troopers, but more than the Crew.

Mercs are like Specialists in Frostgrave who are better skilled and armored than the standard soldiers. Troopers are equivalent of knights/templars etc.

With the kits being interchangeable the way they are, for me it’s less worry as I’m getting all three.
But certainly the similarities between those two boxes are there. I guess many people would just choose One of either.

If both had a lot of melee stuff they could differentiate by tools etc for the Crew and such.

It’ll be interesting to see if the two female boxes are just the same set ups.
Or are they unproductive enough that changes could let some of the stuff they see we’ve asked for to make it in.

Obviously with these it was way too late, as it was all already made..

Yeah, the 3 boxes are fine per se, but for the initial wave I think, a box of aliens, robots, bugs, pirates etc. would have appealed to more people. Mercs could have been released later on.
Of course I am in for all boxes, as I'm a conversion posessed plastic crack junky...

Indeed, I’m set either way for all three.
And potentially even more that may come depending what future sets look like.

Getting there..

I put my £50 in to the mix. Would have backed at £75 but, eh, looking at the cart, £50+£5 postage for three boxes of minis + buy the book discounted elsewhere, seemed WAY better than £75 + £7.50 postage for the minis and book. :(

So apparently the postage is baked in to the £75 but they don't make that clear on there.
