Yeah, I've got Plague Zombies for Plague Zombies, Plague Troopers for Soldier Zombies, and Plague Bursters for Bloat Zombies. I was already considering statting up the plagued as themed baddies to replace pirates, but once again Joe has provided something I was considering before I could get around to it!

I love the battle astronaut. it's so chunky but still businesslike. it reminds me of an early 90's shooter protagonist. Doomguy in zero G. I would be all over it if they made a whole plastic set like that.

I'd like the alien Code Breaker, but it comes with the Hacker figure which was a stretch goal for the Stargrave Nickstarter, and I don't need a second of that hacker.

My Quarantine 37 pre-order from Northstar arrived today. The two new backgrounds are Aristocrat and Hunter, both of which use new Powers included in the expansion. Aristocrats start with more money and their ship can start with an Upgrade. Hunters are good at hunting beasts, and can get extra Exp with one of their Powers when they down one.

There are also six new Soldiers, both regular and Specialist. For example, a new Specialist is the Gunfighter for that two gun mojo.

There are eight competitive scenarios which can be played as a linked campaign. A solo campaign is included: basically modifying some of the competitive scenarios for solo play.

Really excited to see how they visualize space bugs. There's so many different variants already in Sci Fi games, movies and books...
I am mostly hoping for something less spidery and xenomorphy and more... bug*gy...

I'd be all over space bugs. Still miffed that Mantic has space bugs in their sci-fi setting with no models outside Dreadball but Deadzone 3 is releasing with existing space rats sculpts and they're following up with, get this, hard plastic ork kommandos.

Something vespid-esque would be my preferred style, and it's what I expect to be honest.

The Quarantine 37 space bugs are very much alien-critter bugs, not alien-bugs-with-guns. There's Drones, Warriors, Acid-Spewers, Royal Guard, and a Queen.

The bug campaign is pretty much an Aliens loot-n-scoot, with the Firefly crew instead of Colonial Marines.

Sounds like some Tyranid models could be used without any problems as long as they have no 'rifles' etc. Tyrant Guard basically screams Royal Guard.

Okay, WGA’s spiders come with 2 optional Sci fi arm pairs, but they’re pretty limited.

Yes. These are Ants in SPAAAAAACE!, not tool using insect-like humanoids. Since I don't have any suitable minis, I first thought of the WGA spiders, but giant ants would be a better match.

As for Northstar doing plastic bugs ... They haven't said anything, so it seems unlikely. After all they are making the space zombies in metal, not a PYO plastic kit. Probably saving the money for the next expansion, Stargrave: The Last Prospector {26 April 2022}. When it was announced earlier in this thread, we started wishlisting what we'd like to see in a plastic kit. Mainly more tools for prospectors and shipwrights/shipbreakers, as the existing kits are limited in that area.

RGD Gaming was at one time said to be working on hard plastic giant ants with optional rayguns ala WGA giant spiders as their next project, but there hasn't been any news in a while.
