I mean to be fair, slaanesh has been given new characters in aos with shalaxi and syllesske + whatever the newborn ends up being having 1 old face back wont hurt. His rapier doesnt match the other one in rumour engine, so chance he is bringing mirror guard as a retinue for him.

Wishlist for mortals
10 man box of spears or bows
5-10 man slaangore box
3 man mirror guard elite bodyguard unit
sigvald
generic hero
The baby as centrepiece

at a short ranged combat weapon to the 10 man box and I'm happy

If they do have a spear and bow version a la Underworlds, I feel like it would have to be two different kits. Off the top of my head, only Savage orcs and Night Goblins have both options in the kit (Kurnoth hunters too, I suppose). We'd probably get something more akin to the Idoneth Deepkin Reavers or the Lumineth Lord's

Won't this be the Christmas preview? GW already announced the battleforces.

If they're going to drop a primarch, I don't think they'd wait any longer than tomorrow.

The Christmas preview is usually done at Christmas time. It would be done strictly via the Community page, not as a live event thing.

If they're going to drop a primarch, I don't think they'd wait any longer than tomorrow.

Teases at best for it.

That assumes that the warband options from Underworlds will in fact see units. Sadly, that has not been the case or we would have had big axe wielding Tree-Revenant units or bow-wielding Tree-Revenant units.

If there's spearpeople and bowpeople? They're almost guaranteed to be separate kits for the strict purposes of posing and armor.

Why would you want small pokers instead of long poles? You're not making any sense.

It's more of a regular preview, really. We are reaching the end of what GW has previously announced. Aside from the codices up until January (of which we still don't know what the Xenos one will cover) and the new Underworlds starter box there are no big announced items left to release. So, time for a new preview that gives us a glimpse at what we can expect further out than January,

Nothing about this year's previews have been "regular". Usually these things are tied to in-person events which have been cancelled thanks to the craziness that has been this year.

Not gonna lie, I'm kind of liking this method a bit better.

All the releases up to Christmas are probably known.

More Marine stuff like Heavy Intercessors, Gladiator Tank, Storm Speeders, multi-part Blade Guard, etc.. with a BA supplement in the mix (and even some of those might only show up January).

Death Guard Codex with likely a Combat Patrol box that might include the new character.

Probably a Necron kit or two still missing (Flayed Ones?)?

Some Underworlds stuff, another AoS thing maybe and the Christmas bundles themselves.

That easily covers the remaining 5(?) pre-order Saturdays till Christmas.

You could think of it as the new regular until the old regular isn't impossible to do anymore.

Personally it makes little difference to me. I'd have no means of attending the preview events and I usually don't watch the live streams, so for me it's a preview article on Warhammer Community either way.

Flayed Ones seem to be next year as the trailer tied them to Kill Team. Could be the Crypteks tough.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

December is, traditionally, a 'dead' month for preorders for the main games. We know Underworlds season 4 is coming but beyond that, it's likely to be boxed games related. It's also when the Battleforces are going to drop in all likelihood.

We know the BA supplement and Gladiator go up for preorder on Saturday the 28th. The Death Guard Codex is also a "December release", with no indications of the character being locked into anything.

We know there's a January codex for Imperium and the first non-Necron Xenos book. We also know that Kill Team is coming back in 2021 and the tease was Flayed Ones.

Why would you think Flayed Ones will be released first with Kill Team, rather than just be included in Kill Team after they've had a standalone release? Does it make sense to tie in a 40K infantry release to a starter set for a different game so that they're only available in such an inconvenient fashion? Is there a precedent for this?

To shift Kill-Team boxes with a marked up price obviously. Whether you flog the enemy army's models on Ebay after you buy it isn't GW's problem, you've already spent the £120 or so on the box rather than the £35 you would for standalone Flayed Ones.

In the past they've put things like the Kellermorph and... the fat Mechanicus character in Kill-Team boxes for a while before releasing 'em standalone.

Gathering the Informations.

Kellermorph and Manipulus were the only two 'main army' units that were bundled into Kill Team sets. And those, it's worth mentioning, were full on single-faction Kill Team sets rather than full-on big boxes.
Kellermorph came with a set of Acolytes and the Manipulus came with a set of Sicarian.

You didn't have to flog anything unless you didn't want Acolytes or Sicarians.

Unfortunately I think the SBG crowd got a little more hyped then was warranted. You'd think GW would advertise for a property that's way more popular than even their own original brands if it was something newsworthy.

It's possible they could not advertise it until an announcement is made by the property owners themselves.

Reality of the situation is we never really tend to get any heads-up for what is coming for LOTR. Whether they are playing it close to the vest because of licensing stuff or just they don't know what they want to release? I do not think we have seen a single Rumor Engine for a LOTR piece but I might be wrong!

Given the current rumour is Treebeard, I don't think they could tease that without giving it away entirely. There's still more to show for all of the teasers that were made (at least, one would assume), so even the obvious ones haven't spoiled anything.

Rumour Engines no, which I can see being a rights/approval issue - those things are often previewed many months in advance after all.
This is about the day-in-advance sneak peek for the online preview though, and Middle-earth has featured for those previously (Éomer was shown off as a silhouette before at least).

At least they were confirmed as being part of the actual preview stream, so that's something. The amount of times they completely forget to mention Middle-earth is quite staggering.

Maybe they are in a holding/slow growth pattern until the Amazon show comes out?

I doubt they will extent the Middle Earth Licence with that Amazon Show.

If we walk out of this weekend with modernized Sigvald and Be'lakor kits, I'll be a happy camper.

Sigvald is the closest GW model I'll ever get akin to someone from Dynasty Warriors, and for that I'll always love him.

Be'lakor had to have been in those latest teasers. At least I hope so. I just want a bigger more pumped up version of him.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Currently most likely. The absence of his miniature is quite notable, given that he's 50% of the model range for his faction. The Last Alliance rumours have been floating around for longer but that doesn't mean they'll be fulfilled faster, and while a new starter set in 2021 would fit with GW's new trend of updating starters in a three year cycle, it'd be the second half of the year, which seems a bit far out to be announced now.

It would indeed be a separate license. But, it’s still possible GW went for that as well. It’d all be kept secret.

And to be honest, it’s likely in their interest to go for it, if for no other reason than to block competitors.

Yeah, with the recent history of profits, and memory of.just how profitable the the trilogy was I can't see them not.being interested in it at least.

The show is contractually obligated to make 5 seasons, and can make more if its successful enough, which could help postpone the bubble popping.

I sure bet CMON wished they had thier own game out back at the height of GoT popularity nearer the beginning of.the series rather than at the end and paired.with the mess the show ended on, as a comparison.

Belabor is one.of the few models from the metal era that punches far above his weight on awesomeness. I wish they could just take.hid existing model and make it a plastic kit.

I kinda hope.he doesn't.get a new model, as if the rumor engine pics are of him it looks like hes gonna have really bad looking wings.
