So, It's election time at GW. Which model would you say is the best model of the year. I'm personnaly a bit thorned between three: The Light of Eltharion is pretty darn cool, so is the new Ghazkull and the Triumph pf Saint Katherine. I think I would go for the later one. Which one would you pick?

Was a tough choice between the Silent King and Void Dragon, but I ended up voting for The Silent King.

I was thinking of both Silent King and Void Dragon myself, but ended up going for Illuminor Szeras. Those two certainly are large and impressive, but the character of Szeras is just too cool sucking the fleshy bits off that priest!

Of the three he would also hve been my pick, but I'm not a big fan of Necron aestheric in general though.

I want a way to give negative votes to new Teclis.
Interesting list of past winners. I do think chaos models stand out more than loyalist marines or necrons. Those fade too easily into more of the same.

The Triumph of Saint Katherine.
It isn't just a model; I have 3 different Orders of SoB and I'm magnetizing my Truimph so I can pull the appropriate model out of the Triumph and use it as Cannoness.
Each of my 3 Orders will start as a 25 PL Crusade. Every time my Cannonesses level, I update the model used to represent them. The Triumph models are the ones that represent the last Battle Honour.
Then the Orders have to fight their way across the galaxy to find each other and form the Triumph for the final apocalyptic battles of the campaign.
Some of the other candidates for model of the year might be better models, but nothing comes close to being the narrative campaign in a box which is the Triumph.

Went with the Mindstealer Sphiranx. Love the head with the tongue sticking out the horns facing downwards. Amazing design.
Runners up are the two Zoats. The Archivst is a fantastic update of the classic tyranid zoat, while Zolcath looks incredible and a shame its not a more affordable plastic kit.

From the choices given above, I think Commander Shadowsun is pretty great and very dynamic, and I really like the Sister of Battle shown for April (not sure what the kit is).
Though my actual favourite for the year is the Slave Ogryn Gang. So much character in that kit!

Voted for the Lion. Best primarch release in the FW series to date IMHO. Otherwise would have voted for the Silent King or Ghaz.

I think everyone does--even those who have wanted a new Elf army since AoS started.
That model is so ugly I just can't even. It's really Teclis himself that does it. His pose, his face, his hat, his pants. Remove him and the model is actually pretty cool IMO. I like the base and the flying creature.

Close tie between the Void Dragon and Szeras IMO, but has to be the former. I also agree that Teclis should just be removed from the list and forgotten about.

I voted Ghaz. Awesome update.
I too wish I could actively vote against Teclis. That was the first miniature I was so disappointed in I took it upon myself to make my own.

I voted for Ghazghkull, he's a great example of an awesome centerpiece model that is both practical in terms of its build for both gaming and modelling. It was an absolute joy to build and paint and he's a new great take on a classic character. Certainly no bias from me as an Ork player >.>
Runners up are definitely Varag Ghoul-Chewer and Triumph of St. Katherine though.

I voted for the C'Tan. Technically speaking, that model is NUTS and is taking plastic modelling to the next level.
Seen some really awesome paintjobs of it too
Now the Ghaz model is impressive and all that, but its just a cool sculpt, there's nothing innovative about it

Voted for the dread pageant, but it hardly matters, something bland and 40k will win like in previous years, that's the nature of those popularity contests.
