The lower curved bar is what the skulls are resting on, it doesn't go through their heads. The skull on the right isn't fractured, that is just the zygtomatic bone looking a little pronounced probably because of the sculpt.

Niiiice. That'll fit quite well in an 8th Legion army. For once, I won't have to go looking for bits for my dude's "trophies".

I just hope it isn't a similar case to the Chaos Terminators kit, I.E. : LOTS of trophy racks, not nearly enough of anything else.

An axe and a hammer, both likely from elsewhere it seems unless he gets a hammer option now.

I'm curious to see what his other hand will be. The weird power claw flamer could go to him, since it looks too unique even for a chosen marine.

Also, how long has the warpsmith been off the website? That makes me think the release is imminent since even when they reveal new models in previews, you can almost always by the existing model until a week or so before the release.

I'm surprised no one has done a patchwork assembly yet. At this point I'd assume the ram plate and chain mail are his too, just for the sheer relentlessness in showing off this one model.

If they had spent 25 days teasing one model, we definitely could. Or if they had shown off a video.

But all we know for certain is his weapon, his mechadendrite, and maybe a few other images. Way too few to make a reasonable guess of the pose, though you could just assume it's going to be fairly close to the old model

Last year's advent didn't have any consistent theme, it was just a random selection of models from different games with different release dates. Most of them were previewed in January & March.

This year's pictures clearly all belong to two specific 40k factions, and most seem to belong to a single rumoured box set featuring both of them.

As with anything related to GW Previews I would never get my hopes up. I wouldn't be shocked if they just teased the teaser some more, showing off the painted feet and shoulders or something.

I’m expecting EC due to the colour palette.

There’s a chance they’ll be painted as EC for the box, but I doubt they’re actual Emperors Children models. Hell that art in the background has the Eye of Horus on his chest.

Given an Emperor's Children release spearheaded by a warpsmith would be the least thematic option they have, the models suggest otherwise to me. If it is EC it'll be by paint job and a standard CSM release imo.
