BE'LAKOR indeed.

Already called in the rumour engine thread.
But damn.
Lookin' good.
Pointy army very much like the old one.
No doubt a lot bigger.

Extremely good preview. Probably one of the best they've done in a long while.

Huh, did not see frigging Be'lakor coming up.

Thought they would tease with soulblight...

Looks like they’ve pretty much kept Be’lakor’s pose too.

Based on the skulls on his wings, Be'lakor is at least Greater Daemon sized, yeah?

Mental.

I always held off getting Be'lakor on the off chance they made a plastic version one day.

Glad I waited.

I should have waited... I got *2* this time last year (due to a mispack, the second was free). Looks like this new plastic one is going to be twice the size, at least, so maybe if I combine the two I have...

I don’t know. There’s quite a lot of stuff in that box, including several quite big miniatures. I don’t think it’s worth $300 despite how cool it looks but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Overall though this preview has been amazingly good. Somehow they manage to show more cool stuff than they did in the shows that covered every game system.

I was the reverse, I snapped him up in case they did remake him and it wasn't as good. Never been happier to have spent that much for no reason

Soo overall and outanding preview!

I 100% want the new Warhammer Quest, there are so many good looking and fantastic models in there.

The new Lumineth look great and that's going to be one popular army with this huge second wave of models. If I ever get my other armies under control and near finished I can very easily see myself wanting to start a force of Lumineth and this is with only 2 temples revealed.

The new Be'lakor looks great from what little bits we can see - and yeah seems they've kept his classic style pose.

Showstealer might just be the Wight King - a powerful recreation of a classic model that oozes classic Old World and AoS blending.

Overall yeah awesome preview!

It might not be 300 bucks, but I bet it'll be more expensive than previous WHQ boxes since it's got so many 40-50mm base models in it.

I do not understand why they set the undead cossack as the end boss, he looks the least impressive of the bunch...

I'm wondering if everyone got over-eager on the Soulblight (understandable so give quest and underworlds). The Wight King bit mentions hordes of Deathrattle and Necromancers hard at work. Maybe we're not getting what we assumed.

I'm just excited they kept the classic look. The king blew all the rest of that gak away, at least until cursed city

Well it's the same content as BSF, which cost $150. I know I've seen people around the internet claiming GW doubled all their prices, but that's pure GW derangement syndrome.

Yeah. It’ll be more than BSF, but there’s not enough there to convince me they’ve doubled the price - I don’t think GW have hit that point yet. If they have, it’s ludicrous. Everything looks great but not double the price of BSF.

Man if soulblight are just vampires with deathrattle I will have a big sad.
I sold all my death rattle/legions.
I want an elite vampire army

I think the leaked vampire is what threw everyone off, but the fact that the Mounted Wight King is "just the tip of the lance" seems to confirm that there's enough Death on the way for traditional Soulblight to make an appearance (it'd be, what, Blood Knights and a plastic Lord, maybe with a Nightmare mounted version?)

It's got 6 more models, several large models and an extra sprue of objective markers. It won't be $150
Even if it were exactly the same it wouldn't be $150 again.

Wow! They better produce plenty of boxes to meet demand! If this gets sold out in 5 minutes and no more boxes are done theres going to be some unprecedented levels of rage.

One if not the Best GW box set.

This was actually one of the coolest reveals in a while.

While I'm still mixed on the Lumineth stuff I like, there was a lot of stuff in this reveal that I did like. The Terrain is ace. That being said, I'm not a big fan of the trend of releasing half a wave later with another book.

The Nighthaunt hero looks ace, let's hope the Stuff in the book helps fix the faction up. I'd love to put mine on the table again.

I like the Wightking, but I was expecting a bit more of a soulblight reveal.

Cursed City looks fantastic.

Got a metal one from ebay recently and won't regret a thing. Terrific classic sculpt, and I rather like that he's not stupidly massive. As a matter of fact, if the new one is the size of a modern Bloodthirster, I'm not even interested - until I get an airbrush, I have no desire to paint a model that size. If he's somewhere in between in terms of size and the new sculpt's quality is equally good, I'd be happy to have both in the display cabinet!

Whilst Warhammer Quest are limited products, GW reprints them during their lifespan. It's more that the product is kept on shelf for X period of time and then when that time is up they end it. So if they sell out from the first wave they'll make another wave. It's just when the game reaches the end of its lifespan (basically after its last expansion) then is when GW stops production.

Note some expansions tend to have a shorter lifespan and end even before the main game is over.

Sure, $180 wouldn't surprise me at all. $200 would surprise me a little. Anything over that, unlikely. As I think I mentioned on the Cursed City thread, Dark Uprising at $290 broke a lot of people's brains and GW price cost discussion hasn't been right since. A normally priced box set might send some people back to reality.

Liking what's in the Quest box, model- wise at the very least.

Hopefully the gameplay is there as well.

Be'lakor getting a plastic upgrade I'm more than happy about! Still one of my favorite daemon designs.
Happy to paint him for a third time- I'll have done him up in every material he's been available in then!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

$200 sounds very likely sadly, and at that price, it's essentially whale-only product. $200 is too much for a very simplistic dungeon crawler boardgame.

Quest boxes don't permanently sell out on release day; Blackstone Fortress is still available even if some of the expansions released since have gone out of production in anticipation of the new range. Core box should be available for a couple of years for sure. (BSF was released late 2018.)

How about we wait before we start throwing prices and insults about who can actually afford it around?

That’s not going to happen obviously.

It’ll be on sale throughout its entire life, during expansions and everything else.
Isn’t BSF still available now?

Yea 100%. From the first description of the figure on the throne I was practically shouting "that's Be'lakor!", and it was all but confirmed by the end of the story. Now it's even more all but confirmed by this preview!

Hmm, they didn't show them individually, but in front of the large bat off of the board in the full contents shot, are those undead cats? Or objective markers? (Or both?)

We'll find out shortly enough, but if we'll indulge some speculation, if they are undead cats like the one on Torgillius's base, then they could be spies that serve as mobile objectives, which would be a fun gimmick
