But I would say in all likelihood, maybe another box or two of northmen maybe released on their own outside of Kickstarter... and then likely orcs (based on the wip stuff they have shown) in September.
But this is just me speculating, not based on any hard facts,

I do not like their orcs at all so I hope that you are wrong

I’m not a huge fan... well, I like them ok, but probably would not start an army with them. But thinking of them as primaris sized demons that come in male and female, I’m sure I can find some uses for them.

Funnily enough, I'm waiting for their orcs actually. I like what they did for their design. I hope they won't change too much when their time comes.

The dwarves are nice but I don't need a dwarf army.

Here is the parts included on the command sprue. No start date for launch of ks... but they stated “very soon”

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Interesting that the command sprue has 4 legs in it... the northmen command sprue had extra torsos but no legs... the dwarf one has extra legs but no torsos... I usually have a ton of extra torsos... wonder if the command sprue legs are in addition to or instead of regular legs in the box. If in addition to that means you can likely build more than 12 per box, so I am thinking that is probably not the case.

Head on the left is my favourite. Also it is nice that you can have a hand holding a helmet.

I wish the faces were different, so your multiple command models could look like different individuals, not twins but one's wearing a hat.

Yeah bad place to be cutting corners. Looks like Wargames Atlantic Aztecs is also a sprue of 2 different people in 6 types of hat each.

Posters on ignore list: 36

Fireforge confirmed on Facebook that the regular sprues will have 12 legs in addition to the 4 on the command sprue. So you will get 16 legs per box...

This Kickstarter will be delayed a few weeks. But... the upshot is the Orcs will also be part of the Kickstarter.

I think it would make this KS more appealing to people who wanted both or were waiting just for the orcs. I hope that dwarves will be fast to appear in the retail, alongside the new kits for the living dead

Oh, good. The orcs are the ones I'm interested in.

It's okay to wait a bit more, they'll have more time getting more ready to show us when it's online.

Here is the original teaser pic of the Orcs. Which was supposed to be an infantry set and a cavalry set “on beasts”

Will see what kits they come up with.

They're more like ogres than orcs, being that much bigger than humans.

That has been a common complaint on facebook, that and that they look like WoW orcs. Also the size, some love, some hate.

My opinion... I love the size. It conveys the barabaris strength and power. I agree that they do look more like ogres based on size... kind of resemble mantic ogres a bit style wise too. I Also like the fact that there are male and female. Really adds to the set.

I agree that orc-wise, they dont fit with other orcs... whether thats good or bad, thats up to the individual. I have never been an "orc guy" so i am fine with that. I may npt use them as orcs. Maybe Demons, or Ogres, or something new... Irda from Dragon Lance?

But... the kits will most likely be great, as everything i have gotten from FireForge has been. Which is why I have been updating this thread.

So will I get a ton of the orcs? Probably not. But I will say getting at least one box of each orc kit is likely.

D&D's orcs have always been bigger than humans, by a good margin. WoW orcs, also, while remaining "Human" anatomy and proportions for their limbs and structure.

LOTR orcs are more goblinoid in modern fantasy than proper "orks": Uruks would be what most people thinks when they think in what an orc is.

Warhammer Orks are peculiar. Normal ones are human sized but much broader, and then you have different types (black orcs, nobz) that are bigger and they proportions are totally different.

This kind of orcs is clearly based in the D&D/WoW style of orc-kind, and not the warhammer or LOTR ones.

Ogres are normally nearly double the size of a normal humans. This ones aren't.

I’m not a fan or orcs in general, but I like these. I hope they have enough extra heads for some Sci fi conversions.

Yes, that's why I like these orcs. They're not Warhammer orcs nor Tolkien orcs. They look indeed a bit more Warcraft / modern Dungeon and Dragon orcs. They're not ogre-sized as well. Just in between.

They will be perfect to make a small army for Saga : Age of Magic.

I like these a LOT! Like, really REALLY like these a lot! It's about time somebody produced some wow-styled orcs! There's been a few good STLs people produce if you have resin printers (I don't), but certainly nothing in plastic.

Size is perhaps a bit large, but still within what an orc should be. I can see using these alongside Mantics new goblin regiment for some nice O&G warbands. These are actually the first of the Fireforge Fantasy line that really appeals

They look like larger orcs from Elder Scrolls. I think they look pretty cool. Could easily be a demon/human hybrid faction as well with the horns

Well I guess the original renders looked like Elder Scrolls Orcs, new ones do indeed resemble WOW.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Yes I like these orcs. They are departure form the GW aesthetic, and in a way some are conditioned to not accept them as they do not look like boyz.

I think the better represent Warcraft orcs, Gothic orcs and D&D orcs.

Yes, these kits can do double service as barbarians with head swaps.

I can understand why some people have a Marmite reaction to this kit, but I approve and am tempted to buy.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

What is a gothic orc?

Gothic is a old school RPG that is basically a religious cult in poland.

I assume hes talking about that.

Huh. Never heard of it.

I’m kind of disappointed he wasn’t talking about some old gothic horror book, perhaps The Strange Case of Doctor Sniprot and Mister Gorguts.

I really like these Orcs, altough admittely, they won't mash with any other Orc set.

So probably good for a Skirmisher or Semi-Skirmisher like Frostgrave or Saga, but less so for a mass battle game like KoW.

Huh. I dig the size. I'd prefer them a bit smaller, but I'm all in favor of plastic fantasy kits that add something unique to the world.

They look like they might scale well with Conquest Last Argument of Kings? Although they have their own cool orcs coming too...
