Yeah, there isn't any cause and effect here.
Slaangor happened in both systems because GW wanted a Hedonite warband as well as army. One didn't predicate the other.

Underworlds is basically moving through the list of factions. Sometimes they happen to coincide, other times deer-elves and gobbo wolf riders are abandoned to be all lonesome.

I wish they would give us some more warcry goodness. I'm eager to see what the next step for the setting is, if they are going to go wide with new warbands, or tall and develop the ones we have with special characters and things.

(I will admit that I would love to see some new warbands from cults already dedicated to a single chaos god. But I'm also intrigued if they might take a step forward based on warhammer quest and develop some more non storm cast humans)

Let's hope it's as meaty a preview as the last one.

Really just want to see the next 3 codexes for 40k. Not interested in any of the other stuff.

Wonder what the Faith reveal will be.

For Sisters, we already have:
*Palantine (confirmed preorder March 20th in a boxset, but could be released separately too)
*Sister walkers
*Echlisiarchy Priest (based on previous rumor engines)

But we also have ad mech being revealed too...

But faith could also refer to the Redeemer. The WarCom has hinted we could (will) get models for that in the near future too

Probably not - but there is a simple solution if you really want him that badly and hate how the generic Warbands function as units - use them as Anvil of Apotheosis characters - it being narrative most decent opponents will let you work a bow into the rules.

A roadmap for forthcoming 40K codices and a more sensible entry point for Necromunda would be good right now.

Maybe Tyranids for the next 40K xenos codex and hopefully a revised Underhive set that doesn't cost £175...

There will definitely be more Sisters later this year. The article accompanying the preview that first showed the warsuits stated:

"We’re just getting started for the Adepta Sororitas – in 2021 your faith will be rewarded even further."

Given that that's already 2 months ago by the time this preview shows up (23rd of Jan), I'd imagine all or most of the other Sisters/Ecclesiarchy could indeed also be shown in this preview.

They have enough codexes already, they can slow down a little and see how the meta develops before they release the less important ones.

Hard disagree. The gulf between 9th ed books & 8th ed is significant, they should be pushing ahead to equalise the playing field, not shunning "less important" armies

Not sure we will really have a big reveal on sisters this preview...to me, "faith" can be applied to Cawdor and the Adeptus Mechanicus, and I wouldn't be surprised if they just showed one miniature for 40k and a book while the "big reveal" would be for Necromunda the Cawdor book and new miniatures.

Honestly, for sisters, they could just show the cover of the 40k v9 codex and be done with it. We already know there are the Parangon battlesuits coming, and I'm not so sure the ministorum priests will be redone in plastic (the rumors we saw could easily be for Cawdor redemptionits...and to be honest, if that's the case, they'll make very fine ministorum priests already).

I'm leaning toward this. We've seen a lot of items be discontinued for them recently as well as at least 2 character models, one of which was a leak. Considering that they did a double release with Hedonites and DoK, I'd not be surprised to see another one in the future. Or at least back to back big releases since the last 4-5 months of 2020 was 40k heavy.

For Dark Uprising yes, but not for Underhive if they revised that set. That would be about £100.

Actually, looking at Catacombs lets make that £125.

Exactly. So if they're still constrained to one codex per month due to production limitations and the absolute mess international shipping currently is then we'll see three tops, but if they can return to two codexes per month we'll probably see more.

tbh I think this is going to be the MO for a lot of the sidegames. Aeronautica, Warcry, Blood Bowl, Titanicus... we're lucky to be getting as many Underworlds warbands as we are, and fortunate that the WarMaster Titan made it in.

Hopefully when the distribution stuff gets sorted and improves, we'll see more of the side games coming back out.

I'm wondering if we are going to see more sisters stuff. I would not be shocked if we see a few more Sisters units previewed, and they are one of the next dexes after Ad Mech.

I really hope they announce the AdMech book along with this fellow!

Also, cool to be getting a potential “military” based character. My regiment of Skitarii are an abducted guard regiment, so having an Alpha to lead them would be quite cool for my fluff
