Thank you for sharing it, but once entering it, GW says that there is a problem registering the voucher. Either it was already reclaimed or it can only can be reclaimed by German accounts, since it does not say "it has already be claimed". That or you put it wrong, but I doubt that.

Funny. People turning away 40% discount. Guess some people really want to pay full retail.

Giving away voucher. It's dirt easy to get with that bigger discount than flgs can provide. I got 48% discount myself with voucher and for item flgs can't provide one to begin with.
Only reason you have no use for voucher is if you buy zero gw items. Is there even legit store giving 25% off? Let's say yes. Any item less than 40 pounds and voucher is bigger discount.

I got my $28AU voucher today, isn't the best but is good for free (and is better than usually get from GW).
For example, when they had that voucher deal recently and got a voucher for every xx amount spent, I went whole hog and bought the entire dark elf army I wanted for fantasy (because the models I wanted no local or online stocked, had to get all from GW). I spent maybe $1000AU or so and got a $98 voucher...
I could not get those models on sprue cheaper anywhere else (because my love is the building/conversion/painting), I had to buy from GW and got a voucher then (pitiful as was).
I spent the voucher on some other models I wanted that my online stores don't stock, that is the only time I will spend money on GW online (instead of the 20%-25% cheaper you will get from online stores). That and for pre-order cards etc like for Necromunda or boxes I want etc that are limited. I always get the pre-order cards or something that is limited from GW that I want, just in case.
The $28 voucher that has to be used in a month...idk what to spend on atm, I just hope the new Necomunda stuff comes out soon...

I got mine and foolishly redeemed it digitally, now sadly my intended choice (Deathwatch Kill Team box) is out of stock online...
Well I have the month for it to get in stock or for a preorder to pop up that interests me. Otherwise I am not sure what I am going to do with it.

You didn't foolishly do anything, it has a time limit and says in the email, its not when apply.
I love the DW kill team veteran box, is my fav box. I have like 16k+ of DW firstborn (but that includes forgeworld vehicles etc but I hate magnetising individual guys, I love just to have what I want when want so have a massive core of vets with multiple combos).
The versatility of these guys is awesome and the choice of conversions is the best, I love this faction and have collected it for years.
From GW, to buy this box would cost me now $66AU, but from my main online retailer would cost me $55 (is one I choose over others cause is always reliable and has never failed me, though less discount). Granted I bought most of my stuff ages ago when cheaper (and multiple limited boxes like with harlies etc), was just a quick search.
So the voucher I would spend on other things cant get online from others.
I would wait, maybe something come out soon will want and get a free discount.

Shhh people can't hate them for their offensive pricing and lack of goodwill when you point out things like this, especially when orders £20 or more are free postage.

It's not just about the discount, I'd also rather support local retailers who have provided great service over several years of patronship. They also ship much faster than GW, so I get whatever I ordered the next day / in two days max.
I'd also like to think I made one user a little happy with that gift, so it works out perfectly for me.

One is framed in a positive doing good for my peeps attitude, the other is a negative stick it to the company attitude.
I barely ever buy from GW direct, but simply due to support local stores or for discount. I don't do it to teach them a lesson or anything.

someone is giving away a code he does not not need and gets framed because he is not buying stuff he does not need for 50% discount
If I don't need it, it does not matter if it is 10%, 50% or 100% off, I don't need it so better give it to someone else who might
this is perfectly fine and how things should be in the first place

They never said they weren't going to buy anything or didn't need anything, their reason for giving it away was they didn't want to buy from GW direct.
I hasten to add again it's generous and nothing wrong with that, but there's just a slew of ways it can be presented which sound nicer and don't infer buying from GW is a bad thing to do.

But you don't know the reasons why they don't buy from GW direct, could be from something very simple as "they don't ship to my country for free or I need a credit card to pay which I don't have" to "I only buy from FLGS to support the place were I play my games"
there is nothing wrong with not buying from GW direct, specially if you don't need any of the GW-Shop exclusives

There is literally nothing negative with not wanting to buy directly from GW. Even ignoring the obvious that corporations are not our friends, and having parasocial relationships where you care about their "health" is damaging the balance of customer-company, if you don't buy directly from GW, you're supporting your local gaming economy. If you buy GW from your LGS, gw still gets money, so the marine releases can continue forever, but you now have a store that you can meet people in or play at. Buying directly from GW is the worst way you can support your hobby.
edit to avoid online conniptions: I am not calling anyone immoral or bad for buying directly at GW. It's just not the best way to go about your hobby.

If I have literal free money for a shop and give it to you because I buy their products but refuse to buy it from their shop, that infers that its bad to buy from them directly and doing so isn't a good thing. If I give you the money because I'm too much of a good soul to buy from this place, I'm indirectly inferring that whoever does use it, is of lower moral standing than me.
It's not a difficult concept, I know that wasn't what was intended, I know BertBert had no ill-will and one hobbyist somewhere got a cheaper item. These are all good, so is supporting your local stores, all I'm saying is when you give literal free money to someone because buying from somewhere is against your moral code, the person who takes that free money is suggested to be of lower moral standing. If I give you the money because I'm too much of a good soul to buy from this place, I'm indirectly inferring that whoever does use it, is of lower moral standing than me.
Are you implying it's not a bad thing to buy directly from GW? Because it kind of is.
It's not a bad nor good thing in reality, if you have a local store you play at, go support them. If you mail order and only play with a friend, it doesn't matter too much really. Automatically Appended Next Post: Cronch wrote:
This, but it might not stop other people feeling bad for buying direct.
I don't know if feeling bad for consumptionism is something I care too much for. That's between you and your confessor.
Nah, I just spared a thought for some who don't have a flgs or don't know about 3rd party sites etc and buy direct feeling like dicks because other people tell them they're feeding the devil.
I personally don't care where people buy stuff and like people supporting local stores, I just wanted to make sure nobody was left feeling bad.
