His proportions look kinda... off, for some reason, to me. Like, i feel like his legs should be longer? I mean, his thigh is the same lenght as his forearm-

The pic is distorted and the armour makes his forearm look longer.

His leg is also going backwards I believe which further foreshortens it compared to the arm.

That really is a great model. The head and weapon options are the cherry on top.

Ascended Angron vs Avatar is gonna be fire.

Fair enough, he just looks kinda squat to me, from this angle. Kinda like old-timey Marines.

Yeah I'm not sure about the model- looks a bit off but its probably the wonky picture. I think I prefer the bare head version- looks a lot more feral. Love the axe and hoping for a spear option. I miss the cloak/mantle though from the very first design.
Its a bit crap they spoiled the LVO reveal a bit from this.
Apparently Corsairs KT is the left hand side image from yesterday so we will see them [or one of them] . Space elf pirates with birds is interesting - I just hope they don't have pantaloons...

The helmetless head is a huge improvement somehow, the avatar helmet is too big, it was better proportioned on the FW avatar.

I actually prefer just one profile. So I don’t need to worry about the choice on how I built mine gets nerfed into the ground, or dealing with magnets.

People can customize and kitbash all they want, and not worry about being screwed by a trap choice on the table. Especially on a high dollar centerpiece that you should only have one of in a craftworld.

Ok, so, looking over his person I can see runes for:

Dark Reapers
Striking Scorpions
Howling Banshees
Fire Dragons

I think the one on his right thigh (our left) is the Swooping Hawk one. Can't figure out what the left thigh (our right) is, and can't make out the one on the right side of his torso. The one hanging from his helmet isn't a rune.

Yeah it looks really good with proper pics- looking forward to seeing better pics of the options but the proportions look better now. very impressed.

His right thigh is Banshee rune. The edge on one is I think Swooping Hawk. His left thigh is Dark Reaper and I would guess Dire Avenger based on its side profile. His L torso is Scorpion (on the chest) and Fire Dragon (on the side). The one on the R torso cannot be made out clearly enough.

The actual photo release is even better. I'd be willing to put money on there being a spear option.

Looks a bit like someone sculpted most of it, then a junior sculptor was told to add the flames and blood, they look tacked on

yeah, those to not fit the model at all (would have been better off painted as armour)

and we already talked about the Eldar being old style models with the hero kit options, this model again looks like it was done years ago and now just some add-ons were placed there to fit the new style

Yeah, I'm definitely chopping off as many of those flames as I can.

Other than that, I think the model looks amazing. THIS is Khaine. Very excited to paint one up.

Really cool model. I wonder how big he is. The base could be 60 mm like the Forge World version, but seems more like 80 mm to me which would make him Greater Daemon sized.

"Unhelmeted" version is unexpected, but growing one me. Gives me some sort of Mandrake vibes? Also really dig the axe.

Though while I love the rumours and leaks game I feel a bit sorry that the Avatar didn't get his grand reveal on the preview event.

Is that Avatar of Khaine rune, with the blood drops, on the loincloth perhaps an indication of a new Eldar transfer sheet?

Width : height ratio of the base looks like 100 mm. Making this a big avatar (around 15 cm tall).

It's almost 100% a freehand, but it would be really weird if there wasn't any new Eldar transfer sheet with such a large update.

I'm not liking the unhelmeted head.
When I look at it I'm thinking Drizzt, not eldar god of war.

I thought the Avatar was like an animated suit of armor so his head was just made that way, not a helmet that could be removed.
